I understand the arguments about keeping the creeper "as is" because it's "an iconic Minecraft figure"...
But I really like how frikkin' spooky these baddies turned out.

Added and tweaked a few files.
Nothing major there, but there have also been a few supplementary files thrown in to the mix. Diamond equipment isn't quite ready, but almost - still need to work on the armor models.

All righty, so here's the scoop...


However, as the game currently stands, there is no simple way to change the lovely text pop-ups provided by Mojang. This is a tiny, insignificant thing... Except that it haunts my very dreams every night.

See, I love this game. I honestly love it pretty much how they've chosen to make it. I understand the arguments for diamonds being somewhat useless as real life weapons and armor, and I agree with them. However, as old school fantasy games a la SquareSoft dictated, diamonds = best. Or at least, close to best. Pretty darn good, some might say.

Therefore, I've decided to make tools and armor that accurately follows the Minecraft scheme of things. included in the pack are all the Dragon Bone files (Marked with an '_bone' tag) which you may gladly swap back at your discretion. Nothing else has changed between the two files, and I will update both with any future additions of content.

Should Mojang make the Minecraft textbox pop-ups editable through simple, texture-pack-working means, I will reinstate Dragon Bones as the "Diamond" slot of equipment, complete with text tags and fancy party hats. That last bit about the hats is a lie, but the rest is truth.

Until then... Lemme know what you think. I heart feedback - I really do. I'd rather hear out your suggestions, whether I follow them or not, than to watch my downloads steadily grow, but my thread remain newly postless.

I put a new link on the main page. Those of you who were having trouble before, try again?
I'm hoping this works, because if not, we're all doomed.
