I don't think I actually posted a scale pic of the place itself.
So, just for the sake of sharing what I've been working on... This is Sky Palace:
- The closest disk holds the nether portal entrance (Pic above.)
- The next two hold trees (my own personal Woodstock. Lol!).
- The next next two hold sugar cane on our left, and wheat on the right.
- The large back-central disk is the crafting hall (pics above), lit from within and below by sun/glow/light stone.
- The tiny one at the back is the well.
- You get to the palace through a nether portal on the beach, so there's no way for any mob to follow you up. And as the whole place is well lit, day and night, it gets to be my cozy little 100% monster-free crafting haven.
the one thing i don't like is the side of half steps.
Fair enough. I'm not terribly stoked on 'em myself. Thoughts? How could they be better?
i was thinking more spaced out and thinner or just making them squares. or like pyramids from a top view, so they're still squares but it looks like they stick out a bit

Not sure quite what you mean, but I'll play with 'em a bit. :smile.gif:
Well here's a question. I love the armor from this pack the most, so I decided to give it a try. I like texture, but I have some mods installed like Minegunner and the Bladed Bow, as well as Functioning Books. I've used other texture packs like the Adamant( http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=128745 ) Pack, and these mods mesh with it just fine. I can see each of the items without a problem. However, when I turned on the Fantasy Pack texture, my armor and the world textures cahgned, but I could no longer see the items the mods had added to my SP. So here's my question, now that I've talked your ear off. Is there a way that items from mods, aka their pictures, can be made to properly display with this texture? I'd love to wear the Gold Armor while shooting my diamond Pepperbox at Creepers. ^^

this happens to me all the time, if you made a back up for your .jar (which every mod installation tells you to do so) just copy and paste it back in your bin. if not, delete your bin and reinstall all the mods, make a .jar back up and every time you change texture packs just copy and paste your .jar.

If/when you do get it working, post a snapshot or two. I'd love to see this.
I just checked into our little downloads link thinger, to discover this thing is sitting comfortably at 6,700+ downloads.
Again, I get that a good chunk of these are repeat-DLers, updaters, etc... But 3,000 seems like a decent jump for a single week.
I promise that update I promised before is still coming. Really. It's been a lazy, League Of Legends filled week, and I've been slacking as hard as I can... But the weekend is now.
Despite the awesome inventory slots, you didn't include the super epic smiley pumpkin face which stands out like hell.
Super epic pumpkin smiley face which stands out like hell? I'm assuming you mean like the original Hallowe'en one?
I tried to change it to something less seasonal so it would fit with the rest of the theme. I know that I personally had been avoiding using pumpkin lanterns, specifically because they all had creepy smiley faces. Also, almost every pack has a variation on the smiley pumpkin.
As with one or two other features in this pack, I'm trying to be a little different. (Dragon bones, brambly cactus, Dispensers with faces, demonic monster block... Non-face-themed pumpkin torch. Etc.)
...
That said, really glad you like the inventory. :smile.gif: Thanks, man.
A banner for this pack would be awesome. Another topic... It's been a while since I posted on this forum, so I decided to post my compliments on your very epic texture pack. The only thing I don't like is the bottom bar, but I changed that back to the original file that you posted a couple pages ago. Keep up the rated work.
Sorry they're so far away. Couldn't get any closer at the time.
I've taken up Eld's idea of doing the Ghast files at a higher resolution, since they're at least twice as big as everything else. Lemme know what you guys think of them, where they might need more detail, colour suggestions, what have you.
the ghasts are a little... odd? idk but it certainly is a unique ghast skin. haven't seen anything like it.
Odd, yes. They're also probably not finished. This was about as far as I could go the other night, and it felt kinda half-close enough to show off and put into the pack. They will most assuredly get refined over the next while.
That ghast sure is interesting. I'm not sure how well it works with the baby coo coo sounds that the ghast makes, but then again we've probably seen enough "gothic emo baby" versions by now. Either way, I would add some shading to it to really make it pop.

The batteries are charged.
Let's git 2 wark.

Thanks to both you guys for the banner idea and der bump. :biggrin.gif:
Really. Truely. Stuff's coming. Haven't forgot.
Yay, stuff!
EDIT: o yeah forgot to mention i'm working on a simple banner

Also, re: Rick - Thanks man.
