New Item!! - The Orb. This will replace the pumpkin. This is naturally growing and can be used as a light source. It's a mystery as to it's origin, and makes you wonder what else in this strange new world you will find.
-Added the ore blocks (the crafted ones)
-The metal door was changed
-Refined wood has been redone
-I MADE A TREE....it's all my tree now (thanks JS for the use of yours for so long :biggrin.gif:)
-Bricks are now marble. Fits more with the theme and matches the clay
-Added the window to the wooden door
-Tried to make wool and it turned out a sponge (whatever that's used for...but it's done)
-Gravel, obsidian, and nether textures all tweaked and (sorta) finalized

Firstly, I have phased out all work by the awesome works of John Smith, Gerudoku, and all else because I felt I'm nearing too close to completion of the textures and don't want to lead any astray as to who made what. The OP has info as to what to do with this pack for simple installation. (not that it was hard before mind you :tongue.gif: )
So what is included is from the original or me now.
Secondly:
New torches!!!
I have lots more to do, but the textures are almost done. (the one's I dread mostly)
I'm playing with a video now too...soon I hope

Finished the workbench and furnace. Reworked the chests to make them all go well together.
Wondering if I should rework the iron crafted blocks into something more worn and rusted and not fit with the gold and diamond blocks? (seein as how I like to make metal stuff rusted in this pack :biggrin.gif:)
Any thoughts so far on what's been done?
Here's the terrain:
Still...still and still working on a video (I R a noob at it)

First tour of my castle and chicken cult lair via my tex pack. It's long but that's cause I make my vids to fit the music. I also seem to enjoy the creative aspect of videos more than making the pack
:biggrin.gif:
I hope you enjoy it!!

Added most the new blocks and finished the turret/dispenser. Made two squids (for different purposes.) Missing the bone icon some how. Will add that later.
New squids
:tongue.gif:
New furnace GUI:
Newest rendition of the terrain file:
Will try and get some screens done once I do more.
(me thinks this packs will take a darker turn....)

Like others have said, lava: not the BEST work, but I don't think that's your fault. I do like the obsidian, and the torches are definetly a plus, and this isn't one of those that slow down minecraft.
I'm definetly looking forward to having this as my pack, and I almost feel the need to show it off in my youtube videos.
Over All
9/10
And I'll be checking back for future updates.
Yep, good job!

And yes, I hope it does.
EDIT - Fergot to say thanks ODST6134!!
Well...not my lava in the latest release. Need to fix it still because it's an enlarged version of the original. I saw the 32x32 posted and went with it for the template. Definitely DO NOT get lava. Water was easier and fun to do.
On the darker note. The Squid sorta gives away the direction I'm going now. Sort of a project of sorts. Doing mobs is a blast, and I'm making a starter map for the pack with an intro movie/story.
So...now it's really a "WIP". But I did a ton today and the textures should be done soon. Then mobs, then finishing touches, then the video
*not sure I'll do items. I feel like you should use what you feel you like best. I have an items sheet with stuff from Tlos, JohnSmith, and others mixed probably as well.
**THANKS DRAGON!!
Updated today: 01/17/11 (no new version at this time)
-Furnace for the new theme
-The two new trees skinned (not tested)
-New wood plank for the new theme (replaces cherry wood in the planks/fence but not the rest)
-Updated terrain (you can replace in the pack for an update if you want)

Changed a bunch of stuff for today. Take a look at the OP or a couple posts up for the new terrain file. Update version is now v11.
-Still working on the new wood planks. I overworked them and then tried to reverse. Trying for a worn wood look.
-Added Lapis (If I even find any, I 'll take a screen)
-Changed dirt/grass
-Changed smoothstone and all the resources using it
-Changed the Nether dirt block
-Working on a new lava (themed..so yes it looks different. Not nearly finished)
-Finished the pine tree texture and leaves for all trees tweaked a bit
Still tweaking some, but feedback helps :smile.gif:
Screen of work so far (-the new blocks cause the map is older than the update :tongue.gif:):

Had a let down after all that work and pulling my hair out doing the new wood plank.....it changed the top to the bookcases. o.O
So I reverted to an old version and made it cool looking. I wanted an old wood look, but I guess in sticking to the new them/project, I better leave the fancy cherry wood.
Started on the zombie and skeleton for the pack and added another lame lava. Reverted wood and terrain is in the v11 link now.
UNFORTUNATELY....the authentication server issues have me wanting to kick kittens right now. Since I was working on lava, you have to use Xau's fixer to update the lava in game if you want to test it. Every time the auth server actually logged me in, it downloaded the minecraft.jar (and other stuff) as if they weren't there (like if you delete the bin folder).
So....yeah. Been trying to add another terrible lava for around 2 hours now. Luckily this one is better than the original and I can move on for now.
Couple of new screens:

"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to...."
Finished the particles.png, replaced the moon with the moon of Jupiter (looked too kool not to...but the ghast moon is included as an alt), and made a new sign.
Particles:
Sign:
Moon:
Up next (I know I said mobs, but decided to get some of the other stuff out of the way) a cart, boat, and try and finish the lava and biomes files.

Last update, I somehow lost the wool blocks. Good thing is I got to include the sign, fix the particles (who knew that the top row was for smoke and didn't remind me? <_< >_>), and release...
wait for it.....

Call me stupid, but I just hadn't realized you'd started a texture pack thread...even though I'd seen your vids, etc. I just don't get out enough in Minecraft, or the real world!
Anyway, it's looking mighty fine so far and your blue water looks sooo beautifully rich. How'd you find the time to do all this and all those amazing vids?
Thanks Glimmar!! (now that a compliment from da master)
I've been makin one ever since I started using packs back before the Halloween update. Used to have yours, John Smith's, Doku's (Gerudoku), and a couple others on rotation. Then I wanted to do my own when i found out how.
:biggrin.gif:
I only started making vids a couple weeks ago when I got a full version of FRAPS. The one I made with your water color and mine(If you notice...my Youtube account is from 2007 and my first video came 4 years later... 0.O)
