I'd totally download if you could make
Cobblestone
Mossy Cobblestone
Bloodstone/Red cobblestone
Lightstone
All line up, like able to place next to each-other and match up
Cool pack it's a nice blend between mincraft and RL and touches of dark. I also like that map you have at the first post, mind sending me the download?
Well, the map is almost 200 MB large, so I don't think I'll be sending it. Plus it has a lot of projects that my friends are very possessive of. However, when the public server comes back out of limbo (hopefully next patch, the memory leak is killer), we may be using this map again, and I will put a link to the server's topic here.
Thanks for all the kind words, I look forward to getting your hands-on critiques when this is ready.
the sides of the workbench have good shading details, however the top doesn't really have any shading at all. I don't know if this is intentional or not but i don't think it works very nicely
I love the look of this pack; I think the half-stones are fine, honestly. It's nice to have some contrast to keep everything from being a dark blur, plus it's nice to have the option to use them, design-wise.
That's ok, not everyone goes for that. What has surprised me though, is how it seems to suit different people for different reasons. Some people say it's warm and happy, some people say it's dark. Hey, so long as they think it's nice.
One thing I have missed is opinions on the trees. I was going for a weeping willow feel with those, and I'm hoping that's what I accomplished.
Very excellent. Just tried it out and I have some constructive criticism to give to you.
I love the stone and cobblestone, it makes everything line up well, it also makes my cobble tower not look bad. :smile.gif:
Love the wood plank texture as well, including the woody looking rail tracks.
I like the glass, easily visible and you can still see through it. I also like the whitish sand.
Now, onto the peeves I have with it. First off, I don't believe the grass grows down far enough on the side of a grass block.
The ore blocks look a bit rushed, especially the redstone and diamond ones. I mistook a diamond ore block for iron when I first saw it. Put more bluish coloring into it. I like the coal ore, but the gold and iron just doesn't look right.
On the subject of the underground, may want to brighten up gravel some, while branch mining I thought it was rock.
Very nice pack overall. Keep it up, can't wait for the full release.

Thank you for your critique.
Concerning grass, I absolutely agree. However, until grass sides are supported by biomes, I'll be leaving it as is.
It's a shame about the ore blocks. Diamonds turned out exactly as I wanted, as lonely individual gems, but on further reflection, they do seem to sit on the surface, so I will be adding some shading as soon as I can. Redstone I wanted to be distributed as a dust throughout the stone. While it could use some refining, it is how I want it, at least until I am convinced otherwise. Iron and gold, I haven't found what I want to do with them yet. I'm not really fond of the blobs most people use to represent them, but since I'd like each ore to have their own unique shape, perhaps one of them will be blobby.
I will look into your gravel problem. My intent for it was to double as black sand (notice all the gravel beaches around minecraft), so brightening it up isn't really an option. Considering the frequency with which it shows up underground, I will have to do something.

Curse PremiumI've only got a few more blocks to do: crops, hell, and pumpkins. So, the download will be up later today if you're lucky.
For being such a nice bumper, you get to see the chest and workbench!
