The Legocraft texture pack is a 16x16 texture overhaul to turn minecraft into a child friendly environment, well, if you got rid of the zombies, and maybe the skeletons, and the creepers and the....
Anyway, have fun in this plastic world and escape from reality in a fun atmosphere. Below is the terrain.png, imageshack added a t to it's name but I'm sure the observant people will notice that.
Please if there are any bugs or anything that needs changing, post a reply and I'll be sure to check it
Initial thought is that this will only work if the colors are flat (check out the cell-shaded tex-pack) with the little round things on the top. To be super effective I see some skin remodeling for the enemies/animals but if the time is put into it this could be awesome.

I know this doesn't look too much like lego but that's because with 16x16 there's not alot of room, the 32x32 will look more like lego. Also all the sides need to be studded as not every cube has top/bottom/side maps.
Isn't there a mod out there that gives one of the blocks a different top and bottom texture (maybe the dirt block) that is floating around on this forum?
If so maybe collaborating with that modder to do the same for some more blocks might help.
If you could try and search him down for me that'd be a great help, or at least the thread anyway so that I may contact him. It just seems that if somebody could apply that to every block than I could make a proper lego texpack.
I'll try and look for him later if you can't but thanks for the info.
Hey guys, just created a poll asking whether or not to keep the water smooth and animated or to change it so it's still and studded. Same goes for lava.
Please give your opinion, if you wish something else to be done with them both then leave a comment as a reply.
I think that if it was bumped up to 32x32 (the blocks would stay as 16x16), or even 64x64, you could have colored round 1x1 pieces flowing for water and lava.
I've looked around the forums and haven't seen this yet, so I've decided I'm going to make it.
I'll make a 16x16 one for those who love classics and a 32x32 one just so I can put in a bit more detail.
I'll post screen shots as I progress so if you want this pack subscribe to this thread. I'll make a sig too eventually, and after doing the terrain I'll move onto items, then onto mobs. And possibly make my own lego man skin.
EDIT:
Screenies
Here's an example of grass, dirt and sand.
and some iron and rock.
I've done all the ores the same way, from coal to redstone.
Thanks everyone, I really want to see if I can make a separate texture for sides, bottom and top of each block as that way I could have smooth surfaces, indentations and studs. Then I could also make block colour ores. Though I do kinda like the studded versions.

That would be awesome, but the only blocks that can do that (off the top of my head) are:
Grass
Iron, gold, and diamond blocks
Pumpkins

you should make ores just their color ie: coal black, iron ore tan-ish, gold, well, gold , diamond cyan, and obsidian dark purple
Just another 3 off of the top of mine XD. But they'll also have studs all around to keep with the theme until, if ever possible, I can change it. Infact, I've already done the pumpkin. I'll make another screeny.
@Chze
When If possible I can edit top and bottom as well, then I will, otherwise it won't really look like lego so much will it? Rather just flat surfaces.

Exactly, Thats why when someone tried to make a lego texture they just quit.
I'll do 32x32 once I've finished 16x16.
Dude this looks pretty good I have a custom pack I use but I wil spread this around with my freinds...
Keep up the Good Work
