If there ends up being an "official" sound set, make sure each mob has the same voice actor doing all the lines.
I would actually suggest the opposite. Different voices for different monsters would be an added value of having multiple contributors. Let them have their own personality!
(assuming no jarring problems with volume level, sound quality, etc. across different recordings)

I think he means make sure that each mob individually doesn't have lines composed by several different voice actors simultaneously.
Chicken and cow are done. I'll wait to release sounds compatible with the pack until I get a full set (at least one set of voices for each mob), which will likely be done shortly. The textures are up, check the first post!

Let me be the first to say that i am a super noob when it comes to mods, and ask for some assistance
Ok so here is the instructions that are given in the Readme:
instructions:PC:
(make sure hidden files and folders are allowed to be shown in Folder Options if you don't see the appdata folder)
Go to your home folder > appdata > roaming > .minecraft > texturepacks.
Place the Sophisticraft .ZIP in the texturepacks folder. You can now select in the Minecraft texture dialog."
I placed the zip file in the texturepacks folder and " Minecraft texture dialog" im assuming thats just when your in the game you can select which texture pack you are useing and i do that but nothing happens, the animals look the same, could someone tell me what im doing wrong?

What zip? The initial one, Sophisticraft Files, or the Sophisticraft zip within that? You shouldn't be putting Files straight in. Just the Sophisticraft zip within it. Make sure that you have it selected as well.

I have Sophisticraft in. (Nice job, i must say)
How would one go about adding the sounds. Also, I don't need the MACOSX file, right? (I'm on windows)
Eh? There's a MACOSX file? That sometimes gets in there when I zip up files on my mac. I have no idea why. I'll fix that when I return to my computer.
Use Risugami's AudioMod to add the sounds.
EDIT: The MACOSX files should be gone now. I downloaded onto the computer here and deleted them. DL link updated.
EDIT: Was still there. Now it's ACTUALLY fixed.

DrKillPatient, is there any chance you'll go ahead and make Minecraft fancy-er?
By editing the items and block types? :biggrin.gif:
If so, I'll help.

Assasin4hire, I don't want this to degrade into a full blown texture pack. If you do just make this part of a texture pack then heep the mods as a seperate download please.

I just want to lure children into my cave with promises of candy so I can enslave them and put them to work in my underground mushroom farm.

Well, not a full blown.
Keep the blocks, but change the look of the items and armor.
It'd be nice to have a cane instead of a sword, and a tophat with a monocle for the armor.

Yeah the default skin should be a man in a tux also :tongue.gif:
And the cane should have a diamond/piece of iron/whatever it's made of on the top, as the handle.

It's impossible to make dirt or stone classy, so a full blown texture pack would fail pretty much by default. Now, armor reskins, now we're talking. if this happens, though, I would like it to be an optional addition rather than part of the deal, since this is a mob reskin, after all.

I want a redstone sword!

The cow is kinda Sean Connery-ey.
