Idea for the wheat: When you you plow the land, you turn the dirt block into a floppy drive in which you insert disks (seeds). This will then generate a code. Once the code (wheat) is fully generated, it turns into a script which you combine together to rez (create) in a first aid (bread) kit.
Sounds cool. Can't wait to see what this will look like.
Edit: On a side note, if anyone want's their picture on the OP, feel free to post pictures of your world using the pack. The ones that really catches my eye will be added to OP as a demo picture.
No screenshots as the world I tested it with hasn't gotten very far yet, but I am, right now, uploading a video so people can see the basics of the texture pack in action. I also have some comments about the pack itself. Mainly:
1.) Clay fails to even attempt to blend in at shorelines. Feels like cheating, almost.
2.) Dirt and Stone looking identical (when there isn't grass) is very confusing.
I'll post the video fwhen it finishes or anyone still on the fence about the pack still, and I will probably record more with the pack at a later date.
Thanks for the feedback.
-Yeah the trees were made when I didn't have a plan for them. I'll probably be editing it later. Probably green scan lines.
-I am still working on clay and bricks since if I made them look different, people would have no clue that the clay makes the bricks.
-As for the stone, I intentionally want them to blend. Although I'll see a solution for it.

I must admit when I saw the name I thought of the videogame REZ. (To be fair, that game was inspired by TRON so I was not disappointed. :biggrin.gif:)
This is simply fabulous. It's not what I'd think of to use in Minecraft, but it's just so gorgeous. I know it is styled after the 2010 movie, not the original, but still, very nostalgic!
And yeah, wheat and other biological things where a tough to figure out what to do with them. Been playing with the idea, and with my set made fungus, data residue (some blobs of sort) and flowers wires of sort (may revisit the design). But wheat is intertwined data structured. How bread is gonna look... thinking something digital inspired (cd or disk or something) >__<
Ok, I tried out the beta of your new Rezcraft texture pack. As I love the look in your screenshots, however....
The only real problem (and maybe it's just me) is that when down in a mine that I've dug out, it's near impossible to see anything except for the different ores (which look fantastic underground), however all the dirt and stone etc are barely even visible. It doesn't matter how many torches I put up, it's almost like torches put out less light.
I'm guessing that the torches put out the same amount of light as they did before but with all the dark textures, they just appear to not put out as much light.
Above ground looks seriously fantastic, but below ground (for me anyway) is unusable unfortunately.
Keep up the great work at these texture packs, I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.

I'll try to adjust the brightness. It looks fine on my pc because I use max out gamma and brightness to optimize the amount of colors I can see, and they look fine. I will be making brighter stones for those who have trouble seeing dark colors on their screen.
My only complaint is that it seriously strains my eyes with all of those dark textures. At night I'm completely blind.
...And by the time the post goes through my problem has been answered...

I am a fool.
Quote from Arabian Proverb »
A fool may be known by six things: anger, without cause; speech, without profit; change, without progress; inquiry, without object; putting trust in a stranger, and mistaking foes for friends.
I guess I have the same complaint as most people do, the torches just don't seem to help much with the dark textures and it bothers my eyes when I am mining. But, other then that this texture pack is great! I just love your work!
1. Anyway you can keep a version as dark as it is now. I use my brightness up all the way and i like how dark it is.
2. Can you do something so you can tell the differnce between everything dummied out. Even just different colors would work i.e. Red for red flower.
I likes it too =(, much better than mine. I didn't see your post at first. Makes me sad, but oh well. I tried to make mine as practical as possible, but you have more of a Tron"ish" feel to yours.
LOVING this texture pack! but i will have to agree with the stone being too dark, i put up about 50 torches in a small cave and i could still hardly see anything, also it would be good if there were a diff between dirt/stone because i often play with the sound off so then i dont know what im breaking and its bad for your tools to break the wrong kind of tile with the wrong kind of tool. I kept breaking dirt with my pick and it makes it wear out that much faster D:
other than that i think its amazing.

Will take it for a spin when I get home from work tonight!

I use Xau's HD texture fix. So you have to integrate the textures manually into the jar file and patch it with the texture fix.

Any chance of a 32x32 of this coming out?
