Oh and, look at this post http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=81888. It's a pretty reliable post. Truthfully, I don't want to replace the default texture, so I'm not going to install it. I can still understand the concept, however, from the files (and screenshots)
The thing is, my minecraft wasn't causing any crashes until today.
Absolutely love this texture pack. Only made 2 changes to it to make it look better in my opinion....
Gave the cobblestone the same look as the brick but with a dark shade like the color of stone, and mossy cobblestone is the darker brick texture with green lines separating the hexes. Looks absolutely amazing
Typically, Reboot, means to turn it off then back on.
Question, did you try to run that MEMTEST86 as I suggested. I have a strong feeling that your problem is most likely hardware related. I bad stick of RAM. That is the most obvious solution.
Also, how did you imbed the link to your "Rezcraft" forum thread in your signature image? You advice would be awesome.

I don't have any spare CD's laying around to make the iso to test. I'll have to get on that when i have time.

Again, you are wealth of knowledge.
The reason I think its a memory issue is due to the way memory behaves when its dying. Think of memory as a row of 16, 20 oz cups stacked in a row. Lets assume this is a 4 gig stick of ddr3.
Water is now your data. As you computer runs programs or does ANYTHING it begins by reading the HDD then taking the data it finds there and filling up the ram. It takes the water from the well (your hdd) and begins to fill up the cups (your ram chips). Normally if all is well it will fill up the cups and then just make trips back and forth to the well if necessary for information. But normally and with enough ram you dont have to keep dipping into the well.
However sometimes those cup(s) can crack (or in the case of the ram chip burn). This causes a memory leak which typically results in the BSOD. As your pc begins to fill up the cups it begins to loose data at the same rate once it hits the bad section of ram, and a loop occurs and BSOD.
BUT... Sometimes a loop doesnt occur and the pc OVERFILLS the cups and they spill over into the next. This is also a memory leak but it does not aggitate windows to BSOD. Instead it uses excess RAM to compensate for the bad parts.
Hince, MEMTEST86. Use it! It will be your friend. It will even cook you breakfast.
GoodLuck Sir.
And verywell done on the Pack. You have no idea how hard it is to recreate this pack in the wake of your success. =). I like what you've done with the JukeBox. THE HOTNESS. I was going to go with something like in the DafT Punk Booth in the Club, but eh, I haven't gotten that far yet.
I just discovered a tool you've been using all along, sneaky man you are. Its the Photoshop Plugin, Filter Forge or something like that, I forgot the actual name. Well I too came across a white hex like tile and thought "Eureka! Cobblestone!" Then I posted picks and what not and I was pleased lol. Then I DLed your updated pack for giggles and inspiration and ideas and saw you had the same tile. Safe to say I am glad noone took interest or noticed =). I remade the voxel and reposted before anyone was the wiser lol. Close call.
I like the 128x becase it allows for a tangible since of realism. Tiles look more lifelike and erriely movie accurate. To an extent. I mean, how well can you reproduce TRON in MC?
But I hate you cant make glass with faded layers. Which if you notice is why my water has the dots and not my glass.
I used to used 128x for some time as well, for some reason it gave me motion sickness when I used it. So I dropped to 64 so I can keep detail without feeling sick for moving around too fast. As for the hexagon patterns, they are actually self generated using a tiling pattern. I rarely use photoshop plugins/automation . =P
I'll try to test the memory when I get the chance. The semester just started and I have to organize my time before I can do anything of my own interest.
(but on the plus side I just got a limited edition TRON wiimote with blue light thingies :biggrin.gif:)
I got the xbox 360 controler. =) I likes the lights.
I know right :biggrin.gif: Best $50.00 EVER
Highly agreed, I got the wiimote myself. I loves the way it looks :biggrin.gif:
Maybe reboot your computer?
You mean restart, or reformat my computer?

Also loving the GUI updates. Cant wait to see mobs, armor, and tools.
Keep it up.

I kinda like fallout
You'll need to run an HD texture fix
Do you have any suggestions on how to reduce the amount of lag?
is my signature.
Okay, just one little thing:
I kinda like fallout
Upgrade your PC is the only thing I can suggest at the moment.
Better processing, ram, and video card should do the trick.
Yo Soulscribe wen do you think you will be abel to fix your comp/ update the pack
I'm planning to just make textures and upload it to people who can test it for me.
