help i didnt see u needed hd patcher at first... used the pack tried to load it... now minecraft crashes everytime i try to load it, i cant find or get rid of the file(ive tried) and ive tried almost every solution nothing is working...
PS
the texture pack looks awesome wish i could load it
Log off of your computer so it stops everything, then log back on, delete the bin folder and re-download it, and finally re-install the texture pack
I tried this but i cant find the bin folder... i searched all the folders and there is none
open it should be in the .minecraft folder unless, do you have a mac?
One of my friends suggested making natural stone into a circuitry block like the ores, seeing as colored = has data. Make the natural stone an unlit one, like it has no data. Since gray is already taken for coal and such. Maybe make the block different from the others since we dont really want repeated textures too much (lol. minecraft.)

If you are using windows XP
Start / Run then type %appdata%
Open that. Navigate to /.minecraft / bin
Then delete your minecraft.jar and the version file.
Restart Minecraft and it wil redl the files for you... =)
Good Luck
For anyone who didn't know, you can apply the HD texture fix, add the terrain.png and the foliage/grass colors to the .jar, then use ALL the files (including the ones you added to the .jar directly) with the texture pack selector that was added. It works fine.
I love this pack. I downloaded as soon as I saw it! As far as suggestion, cobblestone, being infinite, seems a bit dull as it's only a solid-ish color, and might be neat if it looked like the grass texture, but alas, you know what you're doing. As much as I'd like to get into the texture game, sadly all I have is a 2004 version of Paint that has no internet and a modern version of Paintbrush that just... Sucks... Anyway, wanted to give you props on the texture pack!
I just wish notch would finally apply a hd patch into it on its own :ohmy.gif:
That would be great but then he would make the game LESS available to all. The game is 16bit for the reason that it can be resource heavy. I am running a Core i7 860 with 8 gigs of ram and my system lags at time with my 128bit pack. Especially when my maps get HUGE.
first post here, made an account just to comment on this texture pack. Man, its TOO good. like literally, its so good its bad. like i look at grass, and its so many different colors that look stunning and beautiful, and thats the sad part, u cnt spawn any of the diffrent of colors of grass :'(, but still dude, great work. YOU ARE CREDIT TO MINECRAFT TEAM.

I think he meant adding the option to have higher resolution packs.
I know this is a long list, but please read through the whole thing.
Texture suggestions:
Trees and wood - I like the texture you used for the trees, but I believe it would look nice elsewhere. There is also an issue with the wood looking like bricks. I have an example of the texture for them that would look cool here[ http://hacknmod.com/hack/sleek-blue-led-case-mod/ ] with the tree bark orange and vertical, and the wood green and horizontal (or vice versa). It might look nice to fill in the rest of the pattern similarly, but unlit. After some thought, I realized that my suggestion looks very similar to the cactus texture.
Brick - Brick should use the brick pattern originally used for wood, possibly lit up.
Snow - snow should use the large hexgrid but lit up light blue.
Wool - Should have sand pattern, but with inverted colors (seriously, i tried it, it looks nice)
Stone - give stone a different pattern, I don’t care what it is, just a different pattern!
Water and Lava - should look like "1"s and "0"s to represent data flow (pun intended)
Fire - fire obviously should look like blue particles in flame shape like in the movie
Glass - I would like to see a blue or white "grid" outline pattern like during the light cycle battle.
Ladders - Move the arrows so that there are two whole ones, instead of one whole one and two broken ones. I have attempted to do so in paint, it will work. Either that, or make it look like a glowing ladder with a sketched outline.
Mine Cart Tracks - great as is, but if it had a small circuit texture inside, it would look cool
Tools - make them all look like the light disk, but with various tool icons "projected" in the center (bow with an arrow icon). The colors of them should stay the same except with wood and iron, which could be yellow and orange respectively. Arrows could look like a computer mouse (LOL just kidding) arrow head with a white energy line for shaft and tail. Fishing rod would be the only exception.
Mobs - each mob should have a different color based on their likeness to Tron characters.
Mob Name: Primary color/Energy Light Color; Likeness if any
Zombies: Black/Green; likeness to virus
Skeletons: Black/Red; likeness to black guard, with light disk bow
Spiders: Black/Purple; likeness to nothing, but it would look epic!
Ghasts: Black/Dark Blue or Red; if red, make them resemble recognizers
Zombie Pigmen: Black/Green for zombie half, White/Yellow for pig half
Chickens: White/ Yellow
Cows: White/Orange
Pigs: White/Pink
Sheep: White/Light Blue, with the wool similar texture
The stone texture is on the right track, with the normal stone blocks representing rough unformated data and the cobble blocks representing formatted data but the pattern is too curvy. the off grid areas in the movie had a stony texture, but the cracks were more square IIRC. A gray pattern of rectangular flakes.
Wood looks way too much like bricks, it should be totally different. Remember in the movie how the furniture in Flyn's house was made out of this glowing glass like substance? That should be wood. Zuse cane was also made of this stuff, maybe sticks could be like that as well.
If somebody could code it, a full conversion mod would be awesome, Remove the sky, but make more things emit light (such as trees, grass, and other blocks)
An easier way to get cloth and lightstone would be nice too, so you can make Flyn's house easier.
Never mind, it works now that I realized that the patcher was making a new minecraft.jar on the desktop as opposed to in the proper folder.

Every moment, a thousand worlds are born; every moment a thousand worlds die. For what is a dream but a world, at once brief and eternal, alien and familiar to the mind?
Which HD patcher are you using? If you use the one listed here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=46173 you shouldnt have any problems, otherwise you may be using a patcher for an earlier version of minecraft. Just make sure u have the most current versions of everything.
By the way soulscribe, I was attempting to figure out how to make the gui work on mine, and I noticed that the folder was spelled with a capital "G" instead of lowercase, in comparison to other texture packs. I believe this is why it wouldnt work.
PS, does anyone know where I can find a basic 16x texture pack template, I want to make my own.
PSS, Has anyone tried to patch a HD texture mod into the in-game texture pack folder?
*Update*
GOOD NEWS!
I have tested my theory, and the gui does work, which by the way looks very awesome while playing.
I really like this, there is one issue I have been having though after installing, the game works fine one time, but the game is non-responsive once the Mojang logo appears.
Please help, if you have a solution
I have an HP laptop with Windows Vista

Curse PremiumI support these!

1.83 Mb/s download
0.34 Mb/s upload
170 ms ping
think ur internet sucks?
If I could, I'd pay you.
but as Icant, have some diamond
and isn't the grid large hexes?
and if you can, make on of those that you have no idea what to do with a blue/green cube like in the movie.
