Sadfayse on the memory leaks. Hope you get to finishing this cuz it looks really amazing. So far, it's the best looking Tron texture pack i've seen.
I need to invest in a new laptop so I can work on this. As of now everything is at a stand still. I could still design things, but I will probably need an expert in patching to install and test them.
Cant you just test fast cuz you sayed you can play for s short time so with that you cold keep the pack going :biggrin.gif:

This one is me using the Better Lights/Grass/Minimap mod from MrMessiah. It looks AMAZING with this pack. I could not ask for anything more.
I'm going to continue to post some screenies over the next few days, unless you want me to stop, it's up to you. :smile.gif: I'm sure ppl know that this pack is amazing already. I'm just contributing.
Here are some easy steps for windows users:
1. open the mincraft.jar with win rar.
2. extract the rezcraft zip to your desktop.
3. open each folder in the rezcraft and minecraft.jar simultaneously to ensure you copy and paste to the right locations.
4. copy and paste the contents of the folders from the rezcraft folder to the minecraft archive, chose add to archive and make sure the over right existing files is selected (it is by default).
5. once you have finished injecting the mod into the minecraft.jar (read when you are done copy and pasting) then you close out all windows and run the HD patch.
NOTE: when you run the HD patch do not select any texture packs to apply, just set the textures to 64x64, uncheck the lava and water then go.
I installed to my minecraft.jar from a clean download (read no mods previously installed). I am not a mac user so good luck with that :biggrin.gif:
WOW i love this pack! You did a really good job with it only thing i do not like is the cobble stone little too plain for my taste but thats just me. I really cant wait to see what other things you can add. Keep up the good work!
The sky really throws the tron style off, though. Have you any ideas of what you want to do for it?
Maybe the sun could be data flowing out from a point, and the moon could be like an eclipse of it. The sky being dark during the day would be a little iffy, so many make it with some streams of data or something. Cant say I've ever gotten into a lot of tron stuff, but I do like the idea of this pack.

It's impossible to edit the sky without mods. The only thing I can do is change the appearance of the sun, moon, and clouds. Making it night time permanent would require coding.
My friend and I were discussing texture packs, and he said that to edit the sky color, you shoud just cover the cloud png image with the color you want your sky to be. I never got around to trying it, but why not experiment?
LOL. WARNING TO ALL PEOPLE USING THIS TEXTURE PACK (and most likey many others)
Do not put this in the texture pack list and select it. Upon reboot of Minecraft, the game will hang at Mojang Specifications and crash. EVERY TIME.
That's how I do it and it's never hung at that screen ever.
Though I do sometimes have Java run out of memory and die. That happened to me with the Tronic pack too. But I don't think it's happened when running Minecraft unpatched.

A good idea, BUT! What about when you're above the cloud level? Otherwise it'll be a really good way to fix the sky.

I tried and tried tonight to change the clouds, shadow, vignette....anything to darken it. Worked on the sky overhead to a point by making the sky black (background color of the png) and the clouds a dark blue (the one and only layer in the png). This sorta made it look the same all the time. No night or day that I noticed (just in between). One of the reasons, I suspect, is the view distance. The fog glows more when I did this. So, overhead it was trying to be dark, but the light from afar lit everything up.
Tweaking the vignette and shadow png files did provide some interesting results that could be useful in a TRON setting. (try reversing the file names )
On another note...more to Soul's new stuff. I kinda liked 4.0 better. Have to see the cobble in game to know though. But I kinda don't like the dots on the glass.
When I tested 4.0 for a few hours, I noticed that the sand looks good from right next to it, it gets too brown from any distance and looks like a version dirt or gravel (maybe even a darker sand). One of the things I like most is the smooth stone.
Great job all around though. Was a blast testing it.

I agree 100% in regards to the glass. I tried to do the Dot thing a while back but decided aginst it due to the lack of transparency "transparent" layers offered. In other words, the blue orbs of light we saw in the movie to represent the glass/ window / curtain look like SOLID blue blocks in MC.
For somereason Glass does not allow for faded images. If I am wrong then cool, but I am sure I am right. I did the same exact thing, and all I could get MC to render is little "unglowing" blue blocks. Not very appealing.
With the 128 x 128 I can create virtually borderless glass but still noticiable. Either that or create a THIN tron style pattern across the glass. Most likely the later.
In any case, the blue blocks that are supposed to be orbs of light are not very attractive.

Log off of your computer so it stops everything, then log back on, delete the bin folder and re-download it, and finally re-install the texture pack

ok i prefer if it was an instant link so you click it and it automatically download on the website that you click it
