I saw Tron: Legacy on Friday and it was amazing! SoulScribe, I think you should change the color of the fire to blue. That's how it was in the movie and it looked really cool. My first thought when I saw it was, "That's what the fire should look like!"
Not sure if my last post made it on here so might post again.
I recently patched to the .3 release and I got the black screen after logging in. Here's the error I found when I tried to launch with the HD patcher:
[java, -cp, C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/minecraft.jar;C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/lwjgl.jar;C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/lwjgl_util.jar;C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/jinput.jar, -Djava.library.path=C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin/natives, -Xmx1024M, -Xms512M, net.minecraft.client.Minecraft]
java.lang.VerifyError: (class: net/minecraft/client/Minecraft, method: i signature: ()V) Incompatible argument to function
Could not find the main class: net.minecraft.client.Minecraft. Program will exit.
Exception in thread "main"
Scratch this. I managed to fix it. Had to disable the "Custom Water" and "Custom Lava" boxes on the MCPatcher.
NOTE TO OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM: Uncheck the two items above and then re-patch. It'll work fine (should atleast) afterwords.

Hey Soulscribe,
I think the pack is amazing.I liked the idea of the crops growing top down, but I thought of it as "downloading" the crops. Anyway it works for me, but it can get really hard to farm a large field of cops. I think it would be interesting to have something on the top that identifies the crop as fully grown, like some highlights or some bright spots.
Regarding the mossy-cobblestone, I think somebody mentioned a virus infected cobblestone, and I think it would look great. As for the stone itself, I think it could look a little bit more crystalline as a screenshot posted above as well.
That being said, I must admit I could never, ever, make something that look as good as this pack. Awesome. Thank you very much. looking forward the updates.
One request though, could you make the folder names "misc" and "title" (all in lower caps) if that doesn't break the HD patchers? I currently use Minecrafter to apply texture packs, and minecraft looks for folders with lowercase, so I have to unzip your release to rename the folders.
thats what happened with those two folders i added them in my .jar manually. as well as switching the cobblestone ans smoothstone textures for somereason it wont let me upload it. the only thing im having a problem with now is the fire textures. If anyone could help me out with that it would be awesome
Just a little question. Does anyone like the "outlands" style stone or should I change it?
If you mean the stone texture then PLEASE CHANGE IT!!! it looks to round and almost like bloodstone.
Also the adimantium (not sure if this is right) is sort of annoying and too white.
perhaps if their was something like this:
PSD: http://www.mediafire.com/?2q2azz2vpgak6qp
PNG: http://www.mediafire.com/?bn8idlo0bi4efdp
(force field like the divider wall in the scenes at "that place" when old flynn walks outside.
look in the backround!!!
)

P.S. does lightstone give off lite??
Lightstone normally illuminates the blocks around it. I thing the foliage color is about right. Most of the world runs on a white/teal circuit, any more colors and it will start to look less tron like.

I think more white wold be cool but thats just me :smile.gif:
What I think you are running into, is that the zip file contains a folder, within which are the files needed to run, causing it not to work (the files should be directly in the zip)
I've been working on my own poor man's GUI since getting impatient for the "official" RezCraft ones.
I think they look good, but I can't wait for the ones Soul comes up with. I'll work some more on these and post them here (if anyone wants them) fairly soon.
Amazing..I was watching Legacy today (2nd time..:tongue.gif:) and I was thinking "this would look so great in minecraft." I did have a rather crazy idea too, so I guess ill suggest it: Seeing if you can turn minecarts into Lightcycles..I don't know if it's possible because I've not really done alot of the mapping modding stuff, but I have a hunch you'd need the model file of the minecart..I dunno :tongue.gif: but yeah. Nice work on the texture pack, really great stuff
edit:
also, for the glass; there was like a panel of seperated dots in both Flynn's hideout and in the End of Line club which could be an awesome minecraft glass block
First of all, Soulscribe, I'd like to say that this texture pack looks really awesome.
Although I have to say that it isn't exactly how I wanted for Tron world to look (I'm kinda Tron 2.0 fan and still haven't seen Legacy).
Now for some suggestions:
Could you please change the texture of smooth stone. It feels completely out of place.
How about changing the colour of fully grown crops a bit? Or add some other effect. It isn't at all that convenient trying to guess if I can harvest it or not.
How about making a dungeon an ICP rezzing station? You could add some red lines to mossy cobblestone. It will kinda fit the place. Probably.(Again, I am Tron 2.0 fan)
If you are going to change the way tools and weapons look, how about changing a bow to some kind of sequencer subroutine? Then you can shoot discs from it.
And probably last one for now. How about remaking the Neather into a fully corrupted memory segment, so it will look not unlike Thorne's partition? Also, changing the colour of magma to greenish yellow will make it look like corruption and justify its appearence in Rezcraft world.
But, well, these are only suggestions. How you want for your texture pack to look is entirely up to you.
Once again, great work.
an idea, but I don't know if it was suggested by someone earlier.
an easy fix for the stone / cobblestone / moss cobblestone problem would be to swap the graphic of stone and cobblestone. that way, it would be a bit more true to original graphics.
moss cobblestone could then be an easier variation, with some green circuitry or something.
Whenever I try and run the game with this installed it gets to the "Mojang Specifications" screen and then just sits there. Then it crashes with this error.

Nice work. I'm about 50% done with the GUI. Busy weekend didn't give me time to work on my pack.
No rush man, I just didn't like seeing the vanilla menus with the neato tron everything else so I jury rigged up some temporary stuff.

The smooth stone looks great, what are you guys talking about? It's supposed to be the non-electronic looking "Rock" seen off the grid in the original tron and in the outskirts near Flynn's place in legacy. I love the way it looks, especially meshed up against cobblestone where you can really see the end of what has been created and the start of what is there naturally.

I have fixed it...hope that's ok Soul

Remember to uncheck custom water and lave when you run the HD patcher from Xau
