So, first post on these forums. Just wanted to say that I love the pack but didn't like having different mobs/items that lacked the art style. I'm no pixel artist, but I've started messing with the item sprites to make them similar colors to the terrain pack, as well as bumping it all to 32x32. Here's what I've got so far (tools only):
I'm going to try and reskin most/all of the sprites in that top image, although as I said, I'm no artist and they'll probably just end up looking like simpler, HD versions of the originals. Either way, I just thought I'd share what I've been working on.

That's excellent! When you're done please make sure to share it with me and I'll update the pack immediately.
Sorry for the double post:
Guys, I need help with creating the mobs... I really need a layout for the mobs so I can work on them, because it's really difficult for me to understand what part corresponds with what. I need this soon because I'm going to be submitting my texture pack into the Webhallen Competition. Help a brother out! :biggrin.gif:
What I mean is I need the outlines for each mob so I can edit their looks easier. Thanks!
I really do like the cell shaded style.
I hope Notch moves the default pack to something close, preferably with some engine changes to support "real" cell shadeing.
Thanks for the comment!
Version 3.0 has been released. The changelog is on the front page, but most importantly it includes mobs!
If someone can get me some good screenshots of the current version, I'll make sure to post them on the front page.
(Also the mobs aren't completely tested, so if anything is wrong don't be afraid to speak up)
My netbook isn't all that great so I can only run Minecraft on 16x16 with fast graphics + fog and am glad to finally find a texture pack that can change the feel of the game for me and not look like garbage :smile.gif:
I say this texture pack is awesome, but there is one complaints I have, the on the fast graphics settings are no different than default...
Yeah, that's so that if you don't like the leaf texture you can switch to default. :tongue.gif:
Just switch to fancy graphics, lol.
BTW: I'm working on a Wind Waker texture pack but I haven't even finished the terrain.png yet. Here's a screenshot in Broville:
What do you think? Should I continue to work on it? What needs improving? If you guys like this texture pack I'll continue to work on it and probably make a separate thread for it.
Heyo, first post here.
I decided to edit your sign to better fit with your reskin.

E: That's 16 bit, by the way.
Thanks so much! I've been trying to figure that out for so long and kinda just gave up on it. I'm grateful for what you've done but I can't help but ask for one more favor. Since you seem to know how to get the proportion correct could you re-skin the boat and cart for me? If you can do that, I'll be able to release the updated pack to the public. Thanks again!
Hi, just dropping in to say I really like this pack. In fact, I've tried essentially every pack I've come across so far that appeared halfway decent to me, and only this pack and one other has made the cut. I alternate between them depending on my mood.
I have some feedback on the skeleton though. It appears odd for its head to have the black outline when the rest of his body doesn't. I also think its face, or at least its eyes or something, needs to be shifted up a little on the head. Everything appears smashed down on the bottom and it gives him a big, goofy-looking forehead. :tongue.gif:
Alrighty, let's get this post started.
I'm only going to post the source images, simply because this post will be large enough.
I redid the boat and the cart as you asked me to: (They aren't perfect, but I feel they work well enough.)
Boat:
Cart:
I also did the armor (Though I skipped chainmail)
Leather:
Iron:
Gold:
Diamond:
I messed with the chicken (it isn't perfect, but at least it fits a bit better) and the arrows.
Chicken:
Arrows:

@Spewns: The reason the rest of the skeleton isn't cell-shaded is because there isn't any space for the lines. The bones are literally one pixel thick spaced a pixel between. If you added black lines in between, they simply don't show up. (Or so I think)
@Qualjak: You should check on your Photobucket.
I can't see your images.
Dude, you have to understand that the Minecraft engine isn't capable of having cell-shaded textures at all. Cel-shading is sort of a way of rendering graphics which depends on the engine. What I have here is my attempt to create textures that simulate cell shading the closest they can.

This is not cellshading. :I
This is cellshading

It worked for me. I was using the HD patcher and the pack. The lava, water, and fire animations worked correctly.
EDIT:
Awesome. What do you think about the pack? :biggrin.gif:

Filedropper seems to be down... I've got alternative links up now!

ETA: Great job btw. Easily my favourite pack :smile.gif:

I'm having trouble identifying the template for them though.Do you know where I could find one?
