Just updated to be compatible with the recent Beta 1.8 update. Should work with newest Minecraft version.
Hello folks. Today I present to you a texture pack inspired by games like Borderlands and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. This is my first texture pack and critique is always welcome. To install the texture pack simply follow the download link and put the texture pack in your texture pack directory, there is an HD version and a default size version. The default size texture packs water and lava do flow correctly.
Old video demo!
Change log:
(11/2/11) Used content from Mcmaxximillion (thanks!) that updates everything to 1.8.
(6/4/11) Used content from other helpful individuals to update everything to 1.6... I didn't really do anything for this part hehe...
(1/14/11) Version 4.0 of Default sized texture pack released: -Now includes items, mobs, and textures that were added in Beta 1.3.
-Minor fixes to older textures
-Attempt to make leaves better fit the theme
Looks cool. Doesn't really seem like Borderlands though. :|
I don't think it's supposed to look like Borderlands, just cell shaded like it.
Edit: Forgot to leave comment about texture pack itself XD Looks great imo. I'd use it, but my game is glitched out and I'm stuck w/ 1 pack. All others I try leave it at black screen at startup :\

who would have thought do redo Minecraft in such a simple yet effective manner! I have never seen something like this attempted! It is so unique and fresh!

Thanks so much! That's made my day and made all this work worth while! (Although, I'll admit it wasn't nearly as difficult as anything like Doku's RPG or any of the HD Packs)
I like it a lot, but I kinda want to turn it into a 32x32 so the black lines aren't as thick.
In my opinion the thick black lines give it a nice touch and a unique look. I don't find it necessary to make a leap like that with such a simple texture pack anyway. But I do agree with you, the black lines run a bit thick.
I know it looks cool and all, but it's just so simple. It takes no artistic ability to do a texture pack like that. I mean, you could at least make the snowy dirt and grassy dirt blend on the sides, or do the creepers!

I understand what you're saying, but there's so many complicated texture packs, and I figured a decent simple pack would be nice for those that don't want so many different colors all over their screens. I'm not trying to show off any artistic abilities here dude. :tongue.gif:
EDIT: I like the simpleness to it, in fact it gives it a unique feel to it.

Simple doesn't mean it's bad. The default skin Notch made looks like a 5 yr old scribbled in paint, but it's not bad - it fits the theme of minecraft.

Personally I prefer the cartoony/simple texture packs.
High res/Realistic textures + low graphic blocky game = ugly
Wolves not included, pick one from here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=264955">viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=264955

Ah. Looks cool anyways.
Sleekcraft! Check it out!
the other one did not
That's most likely because that yellow flower kinda looks like a fire flower. :tongue.gif:
Also, the 2d aspect of all the sides along with the black outlines might give it that feel.

Oh well okay then. I've got lots of updating to do, so you might have to do that a few more times, haha.
