A competition huh? I like it. Sounds like just the thing to keep this forum buzzing until Athy can find some time to work on DragonCraft some more! Hopefully lots of people get in on it!
Thats my hope. Heres the thought.
For the Banner competition. Simply design 2 new banners for peoples signatures.
A long one 500x30 pixels
and a snub one 350x20
I am also open for if you want to create a huge signature instead of doing both of those (don't know the max sig. dimensions sorry). JPG, PNG, and GIF (that means it can be animated!) formats are allowed.
The other contest would be to create the most "epic" of pictures using the DragonCraft texture pack. Yes its a bit old, but it still has the orginal textures.
We'll discuss scoring and judging when I get a clear Idea of what contest is being done. Winner gets to have their post put up (HOPEFULLY!) on the front page. If not I will figure out a way for the winner to get his credit.

[Edit] To everyone who views this topic. If you have any questions please post. There's a lot of confusion we know with downloads not working and stuff like that. Athy's still working on getting the update fixable (I think O_o). In the meanwhile getting you up to date. Currently the texture pack is 1.3_01 compatible (has all the textures just not all of them are the best since she hasn't had a lot of time to work on them) and so should work with 1.4_01 since no new items were released except for the "cookie". "Download" links on the main page are not working at this moment. The version in the "Downloads" section is for 1.2. While searching the forums (using Google since mincraftforums decided to kill their search button) I found a dragon mob for all you frequent visitors (listed above), please enjoy.

To be honest, I wasn't planning on making a banner, (I just barely managed to pass elementary school art with a C. xD) I was just really looking forward to the added hype and the new banners, as I know there are some VERY good artist out there.

Due to school finishing up and me getting a short term temp job... I can't do much. Heck, I've sneaked on my laptop at work just to tell you this.
There will be a major update after I finish this temp job in a few weeks. In which case I plan to make a new thread. Until then, I can't do anything.

This is a nice pack unfortunately it does not suit my build style very well, downloading anyway to since I plan on building some medieval castles soon.

You know, you can alpha out part of the back of the spider's body and make it look like a reptilian tail. It would look a lot more like a dragon.

Until there is official support, 16x16 is my main objective, after I do eventually finish this, I will be making all the way up to... I think its 246x246? Or whatever, the highest you can get. :tongue.gif: They will have scales and everything, I can't do much with a 16x16 block you know. :tongue.gif:
