UPDATED: August 9, 2011 10:05 AM PST VERSION: Cutecraft_0.7
Sorry for the inconsistent updates. >< I was busy for a awhile IRL and also went out of town for a week as well. But back home! Funny enough when I saw the latest posts on this thread made me go uh oh I gotta fix the stuff that doesn't work. >< But anyways I somehow looked at the tools and told myself I gotta make what I cam currently doing look better. Funny enough it happened! Enjoy the tools! :smile.gif: I personally love the wooden tools. XD Also that means there is only artwork and armor (eeek) left!
Also I want to thank all who have supported me with this texture pack. It's almost been a year since this thing has been out, in like 3 months! I hope to keep on improving Cutecraft for you guys.

I've been trying for awhile to make a texture that was simple and cute. Then see nice simplistic textures like Freden's and Clean Craft textures got me going again.
Some block's textures might be clashing with others till I keep on trying over and over to find the best cute texture for each block. (This might take awhile! :cobblestone:) I usually go through different versions of a block (not keeping the previous one if I felt like it hehe.)
I definitely like where this is going. You have what most beginner's packs lack-a strong point of view, and a decided feel you know how to stick to. Things that make this stand out and stand above.
What's next is editing. Edit edit edit. Look at all your textures (I think the bookcase and iron doors are perfect, but them too) and ask yourself how you can improve them. Really work to think about how to improve them, then do it. The difference between good work and great work is that great work has been through a lot more edits.

I have already asked myself that question a bunch of times (trust me). :tongue.gif: All it matters when I do it. I need to really figure out color schemes, I know the area of coloring I want (pastel colors) but the values/contrast of things are funky when in the inventory and what not. Plus I need the shading on items even more cohesive look. XD To me EVERYTHING needs a bit of improvement.
Indeed! I am still close to Minecraft news. :smile.gif: I am currently slowly working on the 1.8 textures. X|
EDIT: BTW I am doing that smooth stone texture, and I found an awesome pattern idea in my head. :biggrin.gif: Hope you guys will like as much as I am liking it. XD
I just have to say how much I love this texture pack. <3
The checkered wool is adorable, the design on the bed is a great touch as well as the door designs. I just love how much work you've put into this, even down to the checkered inventory and chest interfaces which I love as well. Not many texture packs can truly stick with a theme, but Cutecraft is really, really CUTE! Even the Creepers look cute! XD
I tried other texture packs to see which ones I liked but by far, this is my favorite. And now that 1.8 is out, I can't stand that I had to stop using it. But, I'm really excited to hear that you're going to keep updating it! >w< I can't wait to see what all the new stuff will look like!
And don't mind the spiders I think that's a problem with the actual minecraft. Not sure if you're experimenting with the actual 1.8 or the prereleases, but there was some problem with spider textures in the prerelease.
Eeep yay, I can't wait!

With 1.8 being released I give you 1.8 update! Though there are some things that I didn't update like endermen(like there wouldn't be much to change except for the eyes and putting pink cheeks. Though I didn't change them because I think Minecraft currently has a problem with skins that have eye skins. Since the spider is wacked and the endermen was all weird too when I tried to skin it. Also the chest hasn't been skinned since I need to come up with a new chest design since my current chest texture didn't feel like it work well with it all. Also I might change the iron bars later, not liking too much. Also my stone bricks like the idea, but something feels off about it, that will be changing possibly. I dunno what else to say. XD Have fun adventuring!

-Pumpkins in replace of where my melons used to be and melons moved to where the game's melons are.
-Vines
-Stalks (connected and not connected)
-Minecraft's city boarder stuff (unchanged since I have no clue how it would really look)
-Mushroom textures

I noticed though, in the latest 1.8 release, that redstone wire has a graphical glitch (gray squares):
Other than that, I signed up to tell you I love the latest additions! The carrots are perfect!
It looks like an ice cream.
Thanks.
