Holy ****, man.
This is so terrifying that i can't even
click the download in fear of ending up having
dreams about me looking at a creeper with this
texture all night!
GEET DEE ARROWS HURREH HURREH [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>] [>>-i>]
Let me guess...BRAVE THE CREEPERS ALL NIGHT. I'D RATHER DIE SHITTING MY PANTS
THEN THAT.
You know, I gotta be honest, and say that these looks REALLY awesome.
However I'm already afraid to play on normal mode on default textures. I nearly shat myself when I found out a texture pack I downloaded made zombies actually look like zombies. So while these are AWESOME looking, I wont be downloading to save my poor own heart xD

Amazing simply amazing.. unfortunately "horror" doesn't scare me one bit.. however I still think your work looks awesome! Keep it up :biggrin.gif: I can't wait to see your texture pack.

heh, I feel you. The texture pack is underway but still has a little ways to go. I will probably be releasing prefix zombie skins and skins for (mo creatures) before the actual terrain. But whichever comes first, there should be an update relatively soon.
Hullo. The download site does not appear to be working for me. Is there a mirror perhaps? Awesome work by the way, these textures look terrifying :ohmy.gif:

is it nearly done :biggrin.gif: can you post some screenies of what you have done so far
I must admit, I have been pretty busy these past few weeks and have not had the time I have needed to really dive into it. however I am going to find the time and attempt to post a screen by monday. my appologies
Edit: I regret to inform to that I will be putting the terrain.png on hold indefinitely. I have been swamped with other things recently and simply don't have time to do it. I will however be making alternative skins for the "mo creatures" mod and any other mob mod if requested. So enjoy the mobs, but for now at least, I will only be working with mob skins. I will be browsing for a terrain.png to endorse to go along with my mobs, but that is the best I can do at the moment(if you care to suggest a terrain, I would appreciate it).
in regards to the download. I plan to fix the link tonight. I will post a notification when it is fixed. Thank you to everyone who has downloaded so far and I look forward to releasing more mob skins for public use!
I Think the zombie skin is fine as it is, I Mean, You're guy has jeans and a T-shirt. The default zombies have the same. Why can't you have you're zombie skin look a little modern?

since I am going to be going in the direction of only doing skins for the time being... I am not doing away with the jean & tee clad zombie, however... I am makin skins for the mod with Nazi Zombies and Zombie Knights... I forget the name of the mod at this moment, but I know its included in the Pets mod.
edit: therefore, those who are medieval theme players can use the zombie knight as their default zombie if they so choose.
because it has glowing orifices perhaps?(pretending that wasn't rhetorical) I have a few small fixes to make on the ghast actually.. for the next release. namely i think there is on or two small alignment problems.
That ogre looks awesome. Though I'd like to see it in game, its hard to imagine it by that skin alone. you should skin the bunnies and prefix zombies. I am using your other skins already and I can wait to get my hands on whatever else you got
So glad you're doing the Mo mobs. It's a fantastic mod. Still using your horror mobs, your texture work is just lovely. Already had this thread bookmarked but I eagerly await your Mo's release. Bear and fire ogre look amazing!
thank you. I am still figuring out what to do with a few of them, and trying to plan in advance for his horses. I am a huge fan of his mobs, as I am sure many are, and I will likely remain fairly loyal to most of them. So far the only major changes I am considering is converting lions to tigers.. since they are (slightly) more ecosystem appropriate with the other mobs. I want to make bigger variations between the ogres, and resize the wraith texture to 64x128 (instead of 32x64)... Other than that I will likely just be attempting to make them scarier. I also plan to take a look into other peoples mob mods, but since DrZhark's is the largest and most impressive, I couldn't resist doing his first.
So what's the word on a terrain pack to accompany these mobs?
The word, as of now, is that it is temporarily on hold because I was new to texturing when I began and was a little to liberal with add noise. I started fresh recently in order to make a cleaner pack because when I do put the terrain out... I want to do it right. I would recommend using the mobs the old fashioned way or placing them in the pack of your preference for the time being. I am still on the look out for a 32x32 to endorse until mine comes out. I would gladly take suggestions if any one feels they know of a good and scary terrain set. I am personally more comfortable in the field of mob skinning than terrain texturing which is why I have switched my focus to Mo' Creatures mobs and the like, but I am not neglecting the terrain entirely. I have a few ideas and a very basic foundation for it at the moment.
edit: on a personal note. I don't even use 32x32's myself anymore. I have been leaning towards 16x16 but it seams that if I were to create one of those instead it may just be odd with the higher resolution mobs.
Actually, that's the best mental image ever. A dying, drowning man stuffing his face from a massive wall of cake, and carving out a monstrous underwater cake picture. I'd pay to watch that irl.
