This is amazing. Breathtaking beauty for minecraft. Maybe you can change the wolves to amaterasu? amaterasu when she has no ink as a wild wolf but with ink and markings when tame? Just an idea but this is one of the BEST textures's I have ever seen.

Just adding onto the previous post, if you decide to do that, here's my idea: Untamed wolf is Amaterasu, Tamed is Shiranui, Hostile is Ninetails. Would that work? Just throwing out an idea.

Are you going to texture the mobs at some point? It would be really cool to fight different imps [idea]. or orochi [enderdragon idea]
Mobs aren't even started, nor are they in my scope. Looking at my track record, I'm slow to update as it is and now that I'm starting college the updates to this will most likely be more delayed if not stopped altogether. Due to resolution and "hand-drawn" style a single mob may take me 3-4 hours, possibly more depending on how complicated the mob skin is. Texturing over two dozen mobs will take a lot of investment of time. As much as I would like to texture the mobs, it's hesitating to work on this part of the texture pack, because I know if I start, the work would span months before I am complete.
Just out of curiosity, is this texture pack compatible with any mods, or will it be in the future?
With the exception of the mods included in the HD Texture Patcher, no this is not compatible with any mod which requires extra textures, such as the Aether or Toy Soldiers. No plans to work on mod compatibility.

Alright. Thank you for your reply. Also, considering what you said about retexturing the mobs, you're probably not going to retexture the paintings either. I've been working on an Okami art pack (just replacing the vanilla paintings). Would you be interested in using that in your texture pack, or at least seeing it? Of course, I'd need to track down where I got the art from and get permission from the artists.

I LOVE this texture pack, its friggin amazing, but for some reason the dirt blocks with grass ontop have this thing were it shows fire on the right just below the grass, its something small so i can sorta live with it i just wanted to point it out, sorru im a noob so if this is a problem with my comp or how i installed it or something please let me know lolNEVERMIND!.... sorry

I have one tiny little request, that doesn't actually have anything to do with the pack itself. 'Okami' is not the proper title, as in the actual game the title has the little line over the top, which means two o's. So it should be 'Ookami'. The world 'Ookami' in japanese means 'wolf' whereas the word 'Okami' in japanese means 'spirit' or something along those lines. Though both work with the meaning of the game, the title's 'ookami' is actually the wolf one.
In your title and other parts of the first post it says 'Okami' and not 'Ookami'...thought I'd just mention that.
somehow i cant use this texture pack! I WANT USE! every time i click the texture pack in the tp area in minecraft (16x) it looks like it loads, then it crashes minecraft, then i cant play minecraft unless i delete the tp. help me!

Yes, it will be updated. At the moment the mod sort of works, I still need to press out a few bugs.
