I use this texture pack constantly, I love it! One problem is that the latest texture pack has made all of the sakura trees in my forest disappear, now it's just green as far as the eye can see. I miss them :sad.gif:
Welcome to the forum!
What you mentioned is one of the drawbacks to the update. Some people liked the vast seas of sakura trees while others were disgusted with all the pink in the game. Personally I never liked the massive amount of sakura trees and I wanted them to be more sparse. And it was impossible to change the color of birch trees until just recently. I hope you aren't too disappointed. :mellow.gif:
Another intention I had with the update does is to give map creators more control over the color of the trees. For example, they don't have to search for the right biome anymore if they wanted sakura and oak trees in particular spots.
I made a review for your texture pack and loved it!!!!
I hope you post it in your opening post!
Haha funny review, and you got the January 5th update included. :laugh.gif:
All the videos I've looked at in the last couple months either didn't speak English or sounded too pubescent. With the exception of FreestyleOMG (my texturepack was sadly outdated at the time :sad.gif:) your the first person not to fail at both of these criteria, congrats!

The pink sakura trees were some of the things that drew me to the texture pack in the first place. They were quindicential Okami. Is there a way to grow them in survival mode? I really do miss them.

Well if you miss the old version that much, the easiest way to revert would be to open the "misc" folder in the Okami Texture Pack.zip and rename the original "birchcolor.png" to "foliagecolor.png" and rename the original "foliagecolor.png" to "birchcolor.png". That will revert the tree leaves back to the way they used to be, though you'll need an image editor to fix the mismatched tree trunk textures which will result.
Some things you can do to grow your own Sakura trees:
Destroy the leaves of Sakura trees (Birch trees) to collect saplings and plant them in the ground. Use bonemeal on them to have them grow instantly.
Or alternatively you can download and install Single Player Commands and type in this command at the prompt:
Let me first start off by saying how happy I am this was updated. I was a lil sad I couldn't use this for a while since it was outdated.
Anyhoo, I was wondering about the soundmod. I'm interested in trying it out, but once you install it, will it only use those sounds with your Okami texture pack? Or will it change the sounds even if you use a different texture pack?

Sorry if that's a silly question >_<;
The Soundmod changes the sound of Minecraft irregardless to what texturepack you have.
I don't have an automated solution to uninstall the Soundmod at the moment. So if you ever desire to revert back to the old sounds, you may want to create a backup of the "resources" folder before installing the mod as well.

//forestgen 50 birch 5
This will generate a decent sized Sakura forest.
Thank you very much! I'll start collecting birch tree saplings :smile.gif:.
I love this pack sooo much! It's the only one I don't hate xD
Anyway, I have a question, are you planning on doing the mobs and npcs?
If you are you can make the wolfs look like Ume (the dog you rescue in Agata Forest) and the doggy from Kamiki Village :3
Or make em look like Amaterasu herself.
Well, just a suggestion, you probly already have it planned or thought of that already.
And I have a technical question. When I use the pack, all the naturally formed grass blocks, and no other blocks, have two little windows in the right hand corner where you can see through the earth and the are little flames in the windows. Also, the red stone ore has a problem where half of it is covered in running water and lava. And then lastly nether portals don't have portal in them, but they have the purple flecks flying off. Did I download the wrong pack ( I got 64) or is it just a glitch? (I know like nothing about mods and packs)
Anyway, love your pack so much, can't wait to see more.

Hi Morpheus! Welcome to the Forum!
Designing mobs is one of the goals I have for this texture pack, unfortunately I'm having a hard time mustering up the motivation to start working on, haha. It's also very possible for me to include all of the wolf skin textures with the Random Mobs mod which is included with MC Patcher.
Anyhow, the glitch you describe occurs when you try installing texture packs with a resolution higher than x16 without modding (patching) the game first.
Seeing that your new, even admitting it and that you have a rather deep insight of Okami, you most likely bursted with excitement and rushed to download this texturepack as soon as you could while glazing over the acknowledgement below the download links. :wink.gif: With that in mind I'd suggest you visit either the MC Patcher or Optifine threads which I have links to in the first page.
I LOVE this texture pack!!! The only thing I don't like is that you didn't change the pickaxe, axe, and shovel textures. Other than that, AMAZING!!! to you!
I love this texture pack!!! I do have some constructive criticism tho.
- no mobs :sad.gif:
- the letters almost seem to close together
- could you make a slightly less green wood? the green imo makes the wood ugly compared to its surroundings
And are you going to update this tp to 1.1?
Thanks! and keep up the good work
MC 1.1 didn't really break much, except for the HD font's. The update forced the kerning a little tighter then before as one of the posters mentioned above. This is now fixed.
Also added a the brick icon to the item.png template, otherwise all I did was change the thread title to 1.1.
The Soundmod is currently incompatible with Minecraft 1.1 and while I did make the Easy Installer, unfortunately I did not create the actual mod itself, Crazyputje did.
So in a nutshell I have no control over the update progress of the Soundmod, hopefully he will update it soon.
Oh and I received Skyrim as a gift four days ago (which is why this wasn't updated pronto). Don't expect any other updates to the texturepack anytime soon haha.

I used to play Okami a lot with my Girl.
This Texture Pack is AMAZING! Thanks!
