i think i should make a new thread then i think the person that made this pack are not continue this work
anyone think the same?
Hey leafeon94 IMHO you really should take over his works now, but it's better if you PM him first to make sure he's really inactive~ Looking forward to your Okami repack! :biggrin.gif:
were any of the fans of this texture pack going to try and put together an update for 1.9? I know someone did 1.8 but they're releasing so much new content all at once Q.Q
I went ahead and added all of 1.8's new items to the x64-bit texture pack. I didn't edit them or update them to match the Okami feel, just added them so they are all there now, and rearranged what needed rearranged. Would somebody like me to upload it? I don't really know where to put it myself. Just thought this would be a nice stopgap until the project was updated/picked up by someone new.
Oh my! He's alive! I swear my heart stopped for a split second when I read that. My favorite texture pack isn't dead, just delayed! This is marvelous news! Thank you!
It's amazing to see how fast you're updating this after the break, but please, don't go crazy about it. Don't overwork yourself to make these textures. The people who want them are willing to wait a little longer so that the creator doesn't have a stress-inducing breakdown. :tongue.gif:
Looking forward to a current version of this. The lack of any other japanese-themed texture pack is unfortunate. I must have shinto shrines! And mountainous temples! Honor demands it!
No offense but I was pleasantly amazed to see you've made significant progress!
A little request though... Could you please post a developmental version until you have everything finished?
I miss this pack soooooo much! (And playing back through Ökami recently wasn't helping. :tongue.gif:)

Developmental version posted, However I'm not changing the thread title to 1.8.1+, posting new screenshots or updating the rest of the thread until I have everything I want completed. Enjoy.

i love the okami games for their beuty. and you sir/madam have fully captured it! i can't wait till minecraft is absolutly complete so i can download this and bask in all the glory of nippon. you have earned
Very nice pack, and im glad your continuing it
Can't wait for the finished project & an x32 download that works with 1.8 (The x128 lags a little for me)
Edit: Btw for some reason the grass, torches, flowers, bamboo, and wheat all have blueish outlines. I think its because of transparancy problems, im guessing the outline is blue because its reflecting from the sky. Is there any way I can fix this? Is it an option in the hd patcher?
I tried out the updated version of the texture pack and this is all i have to say:
OMG THE BACKGROUND OF THE MAIN MENU LOOKS AWESOME!!! the only thing that would make it even more epic would be to move the sun over to the right and have the screen go back and forth between the sun and a epic looking picture of amatarasu on the left. Also, some of the blcoks (i think its bedrock, maybe cobble stone, and one other block) have other textures in it. Like on one of the corners was a very small animation for the portals. The only other thing that was weird with the texture pack was the fire, nether portal, and the lava (probably the water too but i didnt test it). The fire didnt move at all, the nether portal was completely clear, and the lava didnt animate when it filled up another block. I am using minecraft RC2 and that might be why. I hope that you fix the bugs and add epic artwork. I can't wait untill the full thing is done!!!
Haha thanks. Unfortunately my options with the title screen are greatly limited unless I mod the source code. Currently the game is hardcoded to significantly blur any background and pan through it in a predetermined route. I was able to take advantage of this to create a rotating sun, but anything beyond this would probably be beyond my capabilities.
I have also considered animating the minecraft logo by using the title background to create a moiré pattern. This way I could have a loop of Amaterasu sprinting in place where the minecraft logo would normally be. This however seems incredibly complex to create and would leave an annoying side-effect of lines running up and down the screen.
The bug you described usually occurs because you didn't run the Kahr's patcher correctly. Or it may be an issue with RC2 (didn't even know that existed) as you mentioned.
can you please make a tutorial on editing textures for foliage color? im making an asian thememd pack and i want to make ONLY the birch trees pink :/ makes me sad. pls help :smile.gif:

At the moment, it is impossible to change the color of birch trees without mods. They are hard-coded into the game. I feel your pain.

When will I sleep or am I still dreaming?
