(dont know how to explain this too well, im new here) does anyone have a armor skin thingy for the diamond armor that is VERY different from the others? i like that one the best but i cant seem to find the file for the armor IN game. i have managed to change icon for the armor but not the armor itself O_o
what is THAT one? you can't just say that, no one will know what your talking about.
umm :S the one with the darker metal and that circular diamond on thhe helmet. if that helps at all XD

Here you go. They are not 32x so they will look more pixely than the default armor.
Hey what foliagecolor.PNG do you guys use? Im trying to find one I love,
I highly recommend the newest made by Glimmar for his texture pack. Definitely the best I've seen, and adds a nice variation of colors without being too distracting.
Got a link? they tottaly killed the forum serch function >_<
@Izbay, if you want a pesant without a hood try this one :tongue.gif:
can anyone explain to me how textures for redstone work? I made a new redstone texture, but it doesn't seem to get shaded when seen ingame.
EDIT: lol whoops had it in the old redstone slot. i'll post it soon.
another edit: alright, here's the terrain.png i use right now, and a screenshot of the redstone I made
-snip-
wow i love... everything! this is so awesome, although the lightstone is a bit odd and, the cobblestone might be, i may try it out to see what its like.
anyway could you post a items.png to go with this? i would like the iron door icon, but also see what else you have compiled please :smile.gif:
i finished an iron door to match (it sucks but meh) just as i read this post, so here yah go :smile.gif:
oh, the lightstone i'm using since i made it from scratch, even though i dislike it :tongue.gif:, and i've since switched back from that cobblestone, it was being tested when i posted the terrain.png.
Hi
I am very new to the whole "Creating Texture pack thing" and i have some big problems .
Now i am asking if somebody could tell me what i need to do to make one /customize one.
that would take awhile to explain, but check out tyken132.com or search tyken132 on youtube. he has a youtube series and a tutorial on swapping and editing textures.
for some reason, i can't get the items to show. I have a mac, i downloaded the top gerudoku pack and it works fine. but the items textures are still default. the alts don't have them. and i don't have the .zip file. it starts out as .zip, but it turns to a folder after it finishes downloading. help please.

best way, is to get familiar with the minecraft.jar file. Left click on it and use open w/ unarchiver this will create a folder called minecraft. This is essentially all the important files that the game uses to run. Before you edit anything make a back up of the minecraft.jar file and save it somewhere safe. Then poke around for the file called items and art and armor. Inside the files are all the .png images the game uses. Replace the correct files w/ the ones from Gerudoku and then select everything inside the minecraft folder and hit left click Compress # items this will make a file called archive.zip rename this as minecraft.jar and when prompted click use .jar Place this in the BIN file and you should be good to go. Unless its and HD texture, in that case use MCpatcher. There are threads on how to mod minecraft. The process is always the same wether its installing Textur packs or mods. ALWAYS SAVE A BACK UP OF YOUR MINECRAFT.jar file!!!!! because I am not responsible for what you may screw up.
In other news, this thread has reached 2000 posts.
I'm asking you, as a friend... Just...put an end to me.
