Ok this is my 128x128 terrain.png file that im working on... For the HD Gerudoku remake. I'm burnt out on the project for now but If anyone want's to take a stab at it. Feel free
Hmm some of the green stuff seems a bit..."Dull", not sure why.
-snip-
I noticed that while i was adding them to the sheet, the wood is slightly off colored.
Wood Items sheet:
I would have liked to add the bows and arrows to this sheet as well, but I'm not sure of the format you need or want for the generator. Will the terrain generator follow the same row format I'm guessing? How will that work for things that are more than one block, such as chests?
The first runestones I posted had the bottom cut off. Here is the fixed version. I didn't add any glow to the rune, because I'm honestly not sure how to go about it without ruining it's simplicity.

I like how you're sperating items but..a better idea may be to put multiple "types" on each page with just some spaceing in between so more can be added easily, maybe small lables on the file. Also I suggest just giving biggest sections their own file like...doors, colored cloth, dyes, etc. Also may want to do items by themselves.

thats cool, I had the same kind of idea a wile ago, I dont think Jack-o lanterns fit into the whole RPG thing :/
but since pumpkins still grow in the wild I didnt want to re-skin them and not have it fit, I went with a gourd "like a pumpkin" and a "rune" carving...it turned out ok, but could always be better

The tilesheets are 16x16 tiles, and I have set it to generally take them by rows.
This gives each file 16 items, each having 16 alternatives.
As the process is split into many steps, while being inefficient, this gives me all the freedom I need, while still being nicely automated.
I could make the images as big as I want though, but for now, split them into rows, and the files to some kind of categories if possible.
Multitile items are no problem, as I can change the sizes for the tiles being processed.
I'll probably have to find a way to make multiple rows available for one item too, for example, there probably is more than 8 different double chests.
For now, I know I'll do a sheet for the dyes, but other than that, I guess the rest will be just "Misc1" etc :biggrin.gif:
If someone wants to do the rest, the basic rules for these would be:
Each item on their own row.
First item is _always_ the Gerudoku one.
16 items / rows per sheet, 16 alternatives / colums per item (512x512px)
Try to keep itemsets on the same column if possible, especially inside files, preferably throughout. (generating all 0's should give gerudoku, 1's should give a matching item set 1, 2's matching set 2 etc)
can anyone explain to me how textures for redstone work? I made a new redstone texture, but it doesn't seem to get shaded when seen ingame.
EDIT: lol whoops had it in the old redstone slot. i'll post it soon.
another edit: alright, here's the terrain.png i use right now, and a screenshot of the redstone I made
D: XD thats ****ing awesome!!! this will go so well with Runecraft ^(0_o)^
and I love those Redstone Torches...OMG and I thought I was done with my texture pack :/ Im tottaly steeling those :tongue.gif: :happy.gif:
now you just need to change the active pop/ crackly sprite effect to better match it :]
to be fair, i stole the idea from .. the wizardry 16x16 pack? grn magic? one of those two. and here is the item sprite for the redstone torches, which are not mine.
Hey, the iron door looks sweet, I am so stealing that! I'm assuming you also have the sprite for it, so can I be cheeky enough to request you post it or point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.
i'm afraid i don't have an item sprite for the door yet, although im working on that now. and looks interesting visigoth.
and this is off topic, but visigoth, ban these names from your server: Zetter334, Zax123, Cycron92, p4ull, aldoris and Cyb3rD3lux3. They are hackers/greifers, who ****ed up the server i use right now, as well as a lot of others. (they ahve a youtube channel :tongue.gif:)

very nice. I like the wood as well, if only there were doors and chests, etc to match. One thing though I noticed is your redstone torches are in the wrong order, on should be on top and off on the bottom.
Now, the next step is to make the sheets themselves, as much of the items only have the normal gerodoku item.
After there actually is some alternatives, I'm going to 'offically' release it, making a thread and stuff.
But for now, please, link every custom items.png file that could work with gerodoku, so I can get those sheets done.
Please report all bugs and do give suggestions!
Expecially, the current order of items is totally random, and they are grouped very poorly, I'd really like to get them organized better, and I need some help with that.
Also, the current URL it generates is ridiculously long, I'll be adding a code based system eventually.

You should look through a bunch of the item sheets again... You've missed some alts:
• Pork
• Sugar
• Apples
• Redstone repeater
• Bones
• Buckets
• Slimeballs
• Doors
• Beds
• Signs
So far as I can see. Great job all the same! I'm sure it'll be mega useful :biggrin.gif:
For those of you that (like me) like to use the mo'creatures mod, here are some of the items it adds, but re-textured for 32x32 so it doesn't get the irritated black square background:
Shark Tooth:
Sugarlump:
Sharkegg:
Saddle (just the saddly icon moved to its seperate file):
Havent been able to make an icon for the haystack, since i suck at making detailed textures, the above where just images i scaled down or in the case of the saddly, taken from a texturepack.
Nobody have said it yet but thank you very much for those! As a Gerudoku's fan + A Mo Creature's user, I really appreciate those! Now... I'm curious about the SDK mod did somebody did new icons for this (32x32)?
As for the rest of the thread, awesome work people really I love that community! That's for you!

I'll finish the items.png first, and here are the files so far:

I dig the redstone. It fits really well if you're using the runestones.

Nice. How about curving the blade outwards?
and the "baning" will be all Izbays responsibility D:

My Doku's RPG texture pack customizer version 0.4 is now ready!
It now generates a full items.png file!
Now, the next step is to make the sheets themselves, as much of the items only have the normal gerodoku item.
