dude you need to make an alt grass with flowers, it dosn't hold the same feel of playing with dokus unpatched pack before i knew how to patch. + =HAPPY :biggrin.gif:
Yeah, the alternative sprites are great. I've used quite a bit of them as well as a few default pack icons. Unfortunately, the ores (as well as the gemless textures) have a darker, brown tinge to them.
The bottom-left redstone here looks fair enough being without the tinge and all. And, I was able to easily make an iron texture by combining stone with a top layer found at the bottom of this post: viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=77619&start=1290#p2778908 However, I haven't found a similar layer to use for the bits of diamond and gold.

So now that we have super cool looking Yaks, how about we change those Charlotte's Web looking pigs into some filthy BOARS.
I'll end this post by providing all of you with a RAR full of sound files for ALL of my modified creatures, as well as the spider and skeleton. Beware, they will make you pee yourself.

All sound files are mixed by me, using various sound effects found on freesound.org. The only exceptions are the zombie and the spider. The zombie uses SFX from Left 4 Dead 2, and the Spider uses SFX from Alien Shooter 2. I'm not sure of the legality of this, though I'm pretty sure that using them in a non-profit fan edit isn't illegal. If it isn't, I'll remove them.

Here's my attempt to provide an alternative leather armour for the the items png, which is faithful to the John Smith armour skin.

EDIT: i guess ill just add on to this post. here are some new weapons i made, since i was getting bored of all swords. iron=warhammer stone=tribal..spear..thing? wood=a lump on a stick. (seems better for doing damage with wood)

Looks great my only issue is the legs, im not quite sure why you removed the metal ring around each pant leg since its there on chain_2.png
Sorry about that guys. I really should have thought of uploading the images to somewhere they won't expire. I'm setting up a photobucket account and reuploading everything so the thread will be back soon - hopefully this weekend.
might I recommend imgur.com instead? photobucket has a habit of making images expire on high-traffic websites too, but I've never had a problem with imgur.
