STILL quoting for the new page until I get the OP updated (haha yeah this will probably go on forever, kill me)
Oh wow, Thanks, I actually was using this version until about 2 days ago when I accidentally deleted my bin folder, couldn't find it again until now. :smile.gif:
Can you try to make this compatible with mods. Specifically Kingbmodz's Minecraft Advanced and Mo's Creatures.
It definitely works with mo'creatures already. No idea about the "minecraft advanced" thing. I only plan to support mods that I use myself, so you're kinda on your own :\
runesmith is a doku-style pack with a lot more mod-specific compatibility than this one, so you could try that (or at least borrow the relevant graphics/files from it and add them to this pack yourself)
In other news, it looks like I'll be able to take off work tomorrow (thanks, presidents) so I should finally have time to finish the credits and update the OP so people aren't searching far and wide for the latest version.
The ""final"" build will include an alternate armor icon/skin set, tweaked sandstone (to make it tile better), and maybe a nicer looking recordplayer top, but that's about it for changes. Don't look for anything earthshattering until the next big minecraft patch, which supposedly will happen by the middle of next week, and will definitely not take weeks to update for this time!!

Mkay thanks any way. You should look up King's Minecraft Advanced. It's really good.
I like how its updated but the weapons are kinda messed up, and maybe can you make it look better?
Yes, I will certainly follow your suggestion. I accidentally made the weapons messed up this time around, but I'll do my best to make them not messed up next time, just for you.

Maybe you should repair your BRAIN first (and then follow the install instructions in the first post of this goddamn thread)

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooool YOUR TEXTURE PACK IS OUTDATED... left Lapiz AZULI BLOCK!
No Offense but you really should update the OP. [update on last page] is misleading when the thread is over 40 pages long and keeps growing meaning the update is not on the last page...

Please before you kill me, at the moment I don't have time to read through 42 pages of text.
So, I don't have a clue how to enable the biomes. Do I have to replace the terain.png with the gray tinted images or what ?
Thank you in advance. :smile.gif:
No worries, that's a slightly less common question ;-)
The simplest way to swap in the correct biome stuff is to use one of the new alt zip files. In this case you'd want "alt biome foliage.zip". Check the "customization" section of the OP for instructions on how to use them.
I have a few questions if you've got the patience. I'd like to use this texture pack and mod a few of the mods I have installed so that the textures match.
The easy question is, would you be willing to go through Minecraft Advanced and add some or all of the stuff in there to your mod somehow to give some new textures.
As that's probably asking alot, do you think you could take a look at it and help me figure out how to do this stuff myself? I'd really like to update the textures/models/whatever so that obsidian blocks look decent and the tools look like yours only recolored, I think right now that mod is using the standard textures just recolored a little bit and it's definitely low def. I'm stuck with the painterly pack (not overly happy about that) and I'd like to upgrade all my **** to HD.
I've got image editing software but I don't know much about using it or the first thing about modding minecraft, if you could help me get this done I'd love you forever.

Like I've said, I'm not really interested in supporting a mod I don't use (and I doubt I'll ever use Minecraft Advanced). However, Runesmith's pack is 32x doku-style and has support for a ton of different mods, including most of kingbdogz's stuff from the looks of it. Even if it's missing a few textures, you can probably use some of the dozens of graphics it provides for other mods in their place.
Just using runesmith would be the easiest option. If you have your heart set on using gerudoku, though, you're going to have to do some surgery. Your best bet would be to download runesmith, compare that pack's files with the standard low-res Minecraft Advanced textures to figure out what you need to use from it, and then copy the relevant files/graphics into the appropriate places in gerudoku. The process will most likely require some image editing, so refer to if you aren't sure how to go about it.
Hope that helps. If you do get everything working with mc advanced, feel free to post the edited archive here; I'm sure there are a few other people who use the mod that would appreciate it.

Just thought I'd mention due to the new updated minecraft.exe, you can now use this texture pack straight from your folders, or at least I have found myself able, the only discrepancies being that the animated water and fire do not work (in the fact they don't move). I thought this would be interesting to know, maybe notch has implimented 32 bit textures into the game or used Xau's HD patcher.
Good luck on getting a quick update after the Beta 1.2_03! Can't wait to see your beds (:
*EDIT*
After downloading the texture pack released today (replacing the test) it seems animated water runs fine.
I still haven't checked EVERYTHING, but I can confirm the majority of the game runs exactly fine.
Just to be clear, you can now use this texture pack WITHOUT Xau's HD fix as long as you have the NEWEST minecraft client, that is all (:
The minecraft client's built-in texture switcher has actually always allowed 32x textures, it just displays them with the notorious glitches we've all come to know and loathe (fire/portal anim on bricks and pumpkins, netherrock replaced with flowing water, broken fire/water/lava animations, etc)
If you installed without using the patcher at all and those glitches really are gone, then maybe they did actually add support for higher-res textures. If not, though, nothing has changed.
I haven't been able to try out the new client yet myself, so if anyone could confirm/deny this I'd appreciate it.

Hey Tombones, just a quick question. Is it cool with you if I make a 16-pixel version of this texture pack?
I would love to use this texture pack but i have a Mac and combatability isuses blah blah blah.
Also my game runs realy realy slow when using higher rez texture pack so i think having a 16-pixel version would be helpful for others, not just me.
Please give your thoughts and opinion on this.
Iain :smile.gif:
Sure, knock yourself out. Far as I know, nobody has made a downscaled version of the current updated build yet, so it couldn't hurt.

Lapis Lazuli are invisible. I patched the texture pack, this is the only problem I have had so far. Any solutions or ideas?
FIXED WITH LATEST TEST THING
