I currently don’t like the way the armor looks but i have a feeling it will grow on me over time and I will love it.
The clock does not work. RRRAAARRRWWWW what can i delete to make the clock work. i tried to delete the items thinking it would give me the default items. And it did but the clock still seems not to work.
Also I like the way the default items look some of the gold items confuse me on which one I am using. mainly the axe. (But I just delete the items picture and it gives me the default. that’s the beauty of texture packs you can change it to the way you like)
Last the thing I wish I knew how to change the most. I hate putting on the helm and the stupid HUD comes up. yes I am sorry I think it is very stupid. can you please explain to me what files I can delete to get rid of the helm HUD.
Every thing else is beautiful. I also love that you give us a few options to switch out some textures we may not like for other ones.

Sorry for my English its not very good.
The clock won't work until Xau fixes them in his patcher, unfortunately.
The gold weapons are intentionally kind of silly looking because there is no reason to actually use gold items. They are as weak as wood, and are only really there for show, which is why I used the sort of "royal" look painterly offers.
If you want to use the default pumpkin overlay and get rid of the metroid HUD, just open up the "misc" folder in the gerudoku zip, delete or rename pumpkinblur.png, and rename the pumpkinblurb.png file to pumpkinblur.png.
i've followed all the steps and i'm still getting a black screen.
edit: i loaded it through the new texture upload option and the game runs fine, but when i try to patch it with the hd texture patcher, the game gives me a black screen.

So THAT'S why they gold items are always the most extravagant. I was always wondering about that...
But uh, I edited the skin. I just thought I'd share in case you liked any of the items I edited.
Obviously the two major changes were the Bookcase and the Wooden Door. I liked the style of the Bookcase on the bottom, but I didn't like how it was just so... empty. So I made two new colours, and packed it with books. I also took the red from the Gold Door, and put it in the Wooden Door just because I thought it'd look nice. The Pumpkin and the Nether Blocks are all taken from other packs.
I'm still working on editing other things though. It's been fun.
Also, the arrows at the bottom of the items GUI, is there a specific mod to use for those?

Did you make sure to download the latest version of the patcher (1.1.8)?
Nicely done, serious. Those arrow items are for use with risugami's arrowmod (or the 303 variant) although I think those have changed to externally load the images now, so I should probably just remove them. They were slightly edited from the originals, as I recall. I haven't messed around with too many non-graphical mods since updates started happening more frequently and breaking them.
Awesome, that's what I thought they were for so I ended up installing that one.
I edited some more of the textures though, but since most of it's small things I'll just post to two new major changes.
Glass:
I just added a bit to it, because I felt the one in your pack was just a little bit empty. It looks fine to me in-game, but if other people find it too crowded now I can edit it again.
Gravel:
I've NEVER liked the gravel in Doku's pack. I just never looked right to me at all, so I attempted to make what I thought looked right from scratch. It still isn't 100%, but for my first ever texture from scratch... I don't think it's half bad.
Could you post a screenshot of what hell looks like with those changes? They sound promising, but I don't really feel like editing them in myself to try :biggrin.gif:
Appreciated. Not sure I want the hellstone quite that dark, but I'll definitely make it redder since it's kinda too pink currently. I'll also be adjusting the mud color again, since it's being used in swamps with that biomemod thing and the reddish tint looks out of place there.

Been sending alot of people your way, Tom. Everyone loves the texture pack from my video's so i've been pointing them towards your thread.
Awesome!! You have no idea how cool it is to see these textures showing up in peoples screenshots and vids. I'm really glad people are taking to it :>

Here is my mix on the doku rpg, hope it gives you some inspiration for new updates.
One of the better doku/JS mashups I've seen for sure. Did you make those tools on the side of the craftbench?? Because they are fine as heck and I am totally stealing them

No problem, I love your glass design, its fancy without blocking the viewing space too. Also, Any idea on when you're gonna fix the custom lava? I'm getting tired of looking at the bland minecraft lava :tongue.gif: oh yes, and the new HD fixer doesn't do better grass, I was really starting to love that.
>.> also you have no idea how many people keep asking me what texture pack I use, lol.
Hey guys... Just wondering if I can get some advice here.
I followed the instructions exactly. And yes I do have the latest version of the patcher, 1.1.8. When I ran the program, I noticed the Mojang screen was the proper colors as if the pack was working, but then it goes straight to a black screen and the program crashes.
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
Oh, also, before Minecraft 1.2.2, using the old style of texture pack installation, it was working properly. I think it's something to do with the patcher program, nothing in the texture pack. Just a guess, I really have no clue.
Just as a side note, I'm a big fan of the texture pack. Keep up the good work, guys.

More details please. if you did follow the instructions in detail then nothing should have gone wrong. I suggest deleting the "version" file in the bin folder so minecraft downloads a fresh minecraft.jar again and try a second time, this time more carefully. Or the problem might reside in your computer somewhere else. I have no clue if your version of Windows is the root of the problem.
lol, hozz... your text always has a tone of condescension, like you automatically think nobody follows the instructions.
I don't really know what else to give you. I have deleted the entire bin folder at least twice now to download fresh copies and attempted reapplying the texture pack. Same results each time. Also, when I use the patcher it returns a "Success! Probably..." like I assume it's supposed to in the status window. This is just the first time I'm posting about the issue is all. I added the version of Windows because I noticed Tombones asking someone about it earlier, just tried to be informative.
I'm using the Painterly pack right now, and it's installed through the new method (texturepacks folder). It works fine, enables fine, etc. This is why I believe it's nothing to do with my graphics capabilities or any textures themselves, but in the installation process. The only vague part is that damn patcher program.
Hmm... do you think if i just do a straight up manual install like we used to, it'll still work fine? Or will I have animated lava/water issues, etc.?
If not, oh well. I'm sure things will work out somehow.

the condescension comes from 95% (or higher) of the people that ask for help not having followed the rules. I don't know what the issue is, but this is what I did:
I put the zip file in the textures folder and loaded it through the texture loader IN the game. After that I applied xau's patcher, with 32x32 selected and the same zip selected as the texture pack, and all options checked (working on animated lava atm...). It worked like a charm.

Not sure what to tell you, other than that I haven't tested the installation process on windows 64 bit. You could try placing the GERUDOKU zip in the .minecraft/texturepacks/ folder and then patching, I guess. The texture switcher has added an extra level of confusion to the patching process, and I really wish notch would just implement xau's source into it so we wouldn't have to jump through all these hoops

Will see if I can put something together for the next release. At most it would be just a glowing effect on the existing texture, nothing else too fancy.. I'm not really capable of pulling off anything nicer, which is why I prefer the default.
I miss bettergrass too.. kind of wish mrm had left the semi-working version of it in his patcher, since gerudoku has green grass and wasn't affected by the gray sides issue anyway.
