I have to congratulate tombones, tyken, danscottbrown and the rest of the "dokuist" following for their outstanding efforts in maintaining (and improving on) the famous doku texture pack theme.
These guys have delivered and should in no way be obligated to address the jibes of rude users.
I used to have GIMP, but uninstalled it after a few days due to its awful loading time. It's a good thing I have Photoshop though! ;-)
Heh I haven't done much and everything I have done its because of tombones, he's the one that got my into this.
Also gimp is weird, I use paint.net. I never tried photoshop

Have you tried paint.net?
Also tyken, just in case you don't already know the magic wand set to a low tolerance and Ctrl + clicking is a fast way of recoloring textures.
Hey, I downloaded the update at the top of the page, and whenever I put it into the file it comes out as "terrain.png.lnk" and I can't open the file and look at the picture.. what am I doing wrong?
EDIT: Nevermind, I'm stupid. I got it. Thanks for the resurrection of Doku's pack:D

lol, most of those alternates are horrible. Those iron doors look atrocious.
Just wait till I release my pack, I'm working on implementing my version of a customizer to GIMP and paint.net, seeing how not everyone has Photoshop.
I happen to like most of the alternates... What was your posting this supposed to achieve?

Hey, feel free to say no but could you possibly make an alt lapis lazuli ore that matches your other alt ores? The top ores not the bottom ones. Really like your alts

Sorry, I haven't visited this thread in a very long time, but from what I've been reading, the texture pack is being updated for Beta? (w/ wool and other stuff). Can't wait 'til I can download it again

Ore blocks(the ones you mine). You have gold, coal, iron, redstone, and diamond alternates, but they all use a darker stone background than the lapis lazuli alternate blocks. I would love to use those ores, but it would look really funny having one block a different color than the others.

Ahh, those are the old doku ores, which still had a slightly brown tint to the stone. I'll try giving them the same edits that I gave the current ores (selective desaturation and lightening) to make them match the rest of the stone more closely. (I'm guessing tyken doesn't quite have that capacity yet, it's kind of a pain in the ass process)

You would be correct...I'm still learning how to recolor properly so things don't look horrible. I could try my hand at that now that I have a vague idea how. I just wish I had a teacher for this sorta thing.
in the alternate texture, there is a new dirt and grass i really like, above the jack o lanterns and the cacti, can you finish it? you need to make the completely dirt block cause i really like it and want to use it thanks
I didn't bother pasting the completely dirt version because its the exact same, though looking at it now I notice the dirt IS a bit darker, i'll past it in if you want. Oh and it didn't come with a side snow texture, sadly.

Curse PremiumI didn't bother pasting the completely dirt version because its the exact same, though looking at it now I notice the dirt IS a bit darker, i'll past it in if you want. Oh and it didn't come with a side snow texture, sadly.
