Lol, thats basically what remixing a texture pack is. Either way! Can't wait to see what you do with the new textures.
So, I decided to put some time into making a better version of Doku's pack using some of the edits I've found along with my own textures and edits. Yes, this is the original Doku grass, dirt, and stone, and not the Gerudoku lighter version, but I will include an alternate, light terrain in the download tomorrow. All the textures stay true to Doku and do not use any of JohnSmith's or Dusty's textures such as in other packs, which I didn't like.
Things Edited:
- GeruDoku + ShaDoku Blocks
- General edits to a lot of the textures for better tileing and aesthetics
- 2 New bookscase desings
- Round/ Square Mossy Cobble Stone
- Small Bricks/ Small Bricks Red
- Colored Cloth
- Big Bricks Red
- Wooden Planks without borders
- Pine Leaves with/without pine cones (not working atm for some reason)
- Pine Tree
- Wild Grass
- Alternates for Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Lapis blocks
- etc.
The download includes a .psd file with a folder for all the alternates, neatly organized and labeled for easier use and replacement along with the trap gui, particles, terrain, grass/foliagecolors (removed ftm), and items.
Those textures look awesome, but every time I try and change the texture file in Minecraft Patcher, it says that the compression used in that .zip file is not supported.
So is there anyw ay to fix this?
I'm a right noob when it comes to textures and texture packs.
Well the download is there just to host the files. It's not patcher compatible, but I'll update that in the next release. For now, you can just take the files inside and place them in the Doku zip in the texturepacks folder, in place of the old ones.

Oh good! I can't wait to see what my updated house looks like in the pack.
Speaking of which, I've gotten a lot of inspiration from your world, I've built an obsidian front to my house, and some mossy cobblestone bridges like yours. :tongue.gif:
Updated my version of Doku's pack. Tell me if I messed up on anything
Changes:
- More small edits
- Lighted it up a bit
- Fixed a few things in the psd
- Added a Light Version
- Changed Items to Hozz's
- Added a few more alternates for glass and others
- Placed files in the correct folders
I colored the wool with more vanilla/dramatic colors as I think anyone who's going to go out of their way to make wool for a project will want a color that actually stands out....and is a little less washed out...
The Lapis is dramatically colored as I plan on using it a decoration block. It's a very bright, punch you in your pixeled jaw blue for said effect of awesomeness.
The cake is blaw, copied over and left as is.
This is a Biome Compliant pack. I'm not making a solid green grass variant.
Flowers are different than "vanilla" Doku. The grass
Brick is a grayscale variant.
Furnance/Doors/Spawner/Workbench have "jewels."
Wood Planks are lighter. Whole pack is generally lighter.
I love the "non-custom" color/feel of the water...the custom water animation is just blah without transparency...

I likes it! if you awesome Texture guys wanna do somthing cool, make the redstone look like it's blood thats been painted on the ground "that would F*ing rock for RuneCraft"
there are many awesome updates of the textures from tombones...
but i will wait till his update and compare this.
i like the set from tombones out of the first post. and many beta 1.2_01 updates have some minor differences or are darker than the original one...
i hope tombones let the last version and only update the items and blocks (and of course the colors of the red and yellow flower :biggrin.gif:). that would make me very happy... other way i have to do the 1000000 update of this set :biggrin.gif:

you are very close but the original tnt texture is much better as the zelda bombs :biggrin.gif:. and there are some other differences. but your set has the same brighness. so i could build my own with the new items out of yours until the official texture set will be released :biggrin.gif:.

Hey, I love your GERUDOKU Texture Pack Remix. I install it with your instructions along with all the recommended Mods you referred except Wild Grass Mod on viewtopic.php?f=25&t=100771? There is a new Wild Grass v6.0 that works with Better Light and Better Grass on Minecraft Beta 1.2_01. The instructions state to replace or override the files (terrain.png, qp.class, ht.class, bt.class) into the minecraft.jar file. This would mean that your terrain.png will be replace and I won't have your texture (terrain.png). Is that correct. Am I missing something? What's the proper way to install it? Thanks.

Not really sure why, but when I patch the textures for the sandstone, birch trees and lapis all fail to show in-game. I'm trying tyken's pack, and jagerudoku's both, but get the same result. It's very odd, and the first time I have run into this.

So I've read through every post in this thread, and I'm not sure whether or not the GERUDOKU pack is updated and ready for download/installation for 1.2_01 yet. Any know if it is, and how to download it? (using a HD pack thing or whatever, or just normally)

This one is my own version of things Doku with sprinkles from other packs and other Doku packs...
I included the wonderful and fantastic Hozz items with the 32x32 versions of the original items taken from another pack.
