i dont know if this has happened to anyone else but im pist. i want to change back to the default minecraft but when i pick it in the texture pack screen its still this one? how do i fix this?
I really like this texture pack. My only complain is the growing wheat. I have hard to tell when the wheat is actually done, i know its a little lighter but at times it can be difficult to tell apart.

You need to redownload the Minecraft binaries; this texture pack is a patch to the main executable because it's a 32-bit pack (and Minecraft only has native support for 16-bit textures). Delete the .bin directory in your AppData/Roaming/.minecraft directory and it should update to the base client.
*NOTE: If you don't have these installed, the map might take a while to fully load the first time you play it.

A screenshot of 5 saddles in your inventory would probably do the trick :wink.gif:
Ps. Does biome terrain mod work anymore? I don't really want to use anything but the biome specific trees though. I had it before, just wasn't sure how to get just the trees, or if it works anymore.

There's a fan update version that seems to be working fine. The settings file it comes with (or generates after the first use, I forget) essentially contains the minecraft default terrain settings, so you should be able to just set biometrees=true and leave the rest alone.
Its a wonderful pack, i've always been a fan of Doku's kit but i hated the flowers in the tree and grass and you changed it so i give you 1 a "<3" don't spend it all in one place now. I've had some problems with the mods that it says it works with, the first time i installed this pack with the simple map. better lighting and bio whatnot it worked perfectly, then i got cocky and started adding things like mo creatures and what not. MC wouldn't start so i had to reinstall and now i can't get bio or simple map to work which is a real bummer cuz i like to know what time of day it is outside in game w.o a watch i also with better lighting would work those caves get dark. but i can live i'm just not sure what went wrong i figured uninstalling would leave a clean slate but i was wrong as it still doesn't work. i figure with either the next update of this or MODloader will fix this problem, on a good note you can add hand torch light to the lists of mods. OT: keep up the good work! 4/5 woulda been five if i could just get those dang mods to work. *sssssssssssssssst BOOM*

Yeah, I believe somebody might have made a downscaled pack based on my textures at some point, but it was quite a while ago (pre-halloween i think) so it probably wouldn't work now. The closest you're going to get is sinedeviance's pack.
When I mentioned 16x textures in the other thread, I was only talking about the items. I included the 16x16 items file from earlier versions of the pack as alternates, for those who don't like the 32x ones in the latest release. That's all. Pretty much everything else in gerudoku is double resolution.
Just so yall know, I'm going away on vacation later this week and won't be back til the middle of next, so if the new minecraft update actually happens on thursday or friday, you might have to wait a few days until gerudoku is updated for it (assuming there are any new textures to actually add aside from the damn cake)
So, I really love the pack, it looks incredible and breathes new life into the game on a scale I can't describe, but it would seem that unfortunately my brother and I cannot use it. Let me explain in detail:
The textures themselves work. Everything is viewable, no visible glitches, etc. The game runs fine with them. Well ... except for the gamebreaking crashes.They seem to happen at random, and the game itself just closes entirely. No error message. It just closes, and that's it. No big deal right? Just open and reload your game. Yeah well, despite reloading in the same area where it had crashed, everything seemingly being fine, nearly half my inventory will be missing as well as items I have in storage. What the hell causes that? It seems so random.
Before anyone asks, we (My brother and I) installed it without any problems. Followed the directions to the letter in the OP, and the crashes began about 30-45 minutes into playing. Every 15-20 minutes or so from then on they continue. After losing a stack of 64 iron ingots for no apparent reason, it kind of killed my drive to play with the texture pack.
We had no crashes prior to installing it. I would really love to continue using it, so if anyone can help out or point me in the right direction I'd be mighty grateful.
Also, mine and his computer are barely a month old.
