thanks for the thorough explanation, rich. thanks for all the hard work and patience, yall (most of you anyway)
back to the grindstone today, but there's light at the end of the tunnel. gerudoku ain't dead, it's just resting.
as for people who can't be bothered to read, don't be bothered to reply to them. if you don't answer their inane questions, they'll either figure it out for themselves or go away eventually :wink.gif:

Could you change the thread title to [outdate, see pg.100] ?
I like this, but I don't really like the look of the chest, crafting table, dispenser, furnace, and doors. Plus do I use the same program that I used to install it to uninstall it?
i think someone should lock the this thread until tombones is able to update it. If its not locked, people will just spam "GET IT FIXED!!" and it could be annoying. If not, just stop posting because spamming for him to fix it will not speed up the process. Let him take his time and use some remix pack, because i bet he is fairly busy. Well, take your time tombones, and good luck!
I may have a stupid question, I've read through the past handful of pages and don't see a answer though. I have one of the gerudoku 1.5 packs, though it has a couple textures I wish to swap out. I know how to do that no problems. so I zip my new edited version, use the patcher and put the pack in the mods and textures folder, once I select the texture pack in minecraft it doesn't take effect. The unedited version of the pack works fine. Any idea what I am doing wrong? I did this all the time previous to 1.5 never had a problem.

I believe i had the same problem for a while. The problem is how you zipped it. you can't select the folder and zip it. you must open the folder and zip the contents all at the same time. then you can drag the zip into the texture pack folder in minecraft. Minecraft doesn't like folders inside folders I guess. try it out if, hopefully this works.

Since no one answered my question a few pages back, I shall ask again. I recently patched my game correctly, with the MCPatcher 2.0.0 Beta4. However, regardless of which pack I use (admittedly I only tried Jennings' and richasackboy's), I do not get proper sidegrass. I get the texture you're supposed to get on grass-covered dirt blocks that are more than one block above the ground, even if they are not.

You don't have to uninstall anything. Just select an another texture pack from Mods and Texture Packs screen.
Ok thankyou, I created my own one which is basically a brighter version of minecraft with cobblestone that looks much better.
this guy has a remix with very little credit given to original artists, and refuses to remove his dokucraft stuff. een when doku asked. anyone willing to use this link to thumbs down, report, etc? http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/venturecraft-release-15_01-32x32/
edit: stand down, pack removed :biggrin.gif:
Hmmm... are you getting gray sidegrass? I'm still not sure what you're talking about.
In any case, switch graphics to fancy and sidegrass should appear as normal.

Which one? or
The first one, with the little bit of sidegrass around the top. From looking at screenshots I expected there to be proper sidegrass...it's not a huge issue, this pack works and I'm loving it, but I'd much prefer to have proper sidegrass.
Some of the shots in the OP were taken with a mod called BetterGrass installed. That mod wraps the top grass texture on to the sides of dirt blocks in certain cases so it is completely grass covered.

No.
"[outdated, see pg.100]"
Here, Zedas did a pretty good update for it.

Will possibly use your birch tree sapling with some editing. Credit will be given.

Bonus Texture!
Better pine sapling
That worked, Thank you!
I liked this style sapling better than your recent one, but it wasn't quite right to me.
I bet you can guess what I did:
It's still not exactly perfect but it needed that greenery at the top. Feel free to mess with it.
What can I say, I have nothing to say....
I made a little better one from scratch. I like it better than my previous two attempts.
Your welcome.
