OKAY. THAT IS IT. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH WITH IDIOTS NOT USING THEIR PATCHERS PROPERLY.
I will be posting a full guideline for how to use the patcher within the next few days - and I will also be creating a fixed Gerudoku, which has nothing to do with my version.
I haven't had this problem, but friends of mine who used Gerudoku while playing SMP before 1.5 have been having issues in SMP with the texture pack(they're using Richasackboy's recent 1.5 gerudoku update). They say that Minecraft crashes when they try to get things from their furnaces. I haven't been on SMP to see if I have the same issue, but I don't have that problem is SSP. Thoughts?
Having trouble with textures looking funny or the game crashing when you place items? You need to use the latest beta version of the patcher (beta 4). Read the first post on the patcher's thread and follow those instructions exactly. Success is assured! All other paths lead to failure.
Once again: GO TO THREAD BELOW AND READ THE ENTIRE FIRST POST. You will meet with great success by taking the time to understand what you are doing and following the instructions. As tombones would say: Don't **** this up, kid!
I guess this wont be updated since it says use alt?
Tombones has intentions to update the pack, but he is otherwise occupied for a while. No ETA has been offered for when his official update will be available. In the meantime, use one of the several alternates offered on this thread if you want that GERUDOKU flavor in your Minecraft.
So I'm new to this "texture packs" stuff and I'm interested in installing this one after I saw it in the Yogscast. Let's imagine this pack is updated to v1.5 and I install it. If the game receives an update and this gets outdated again, how should I proceed?
Either wait for the texture pack to get updated, or be crafty and throw the files into photoshop/your image editor of choice and copy paste in the new blocks/items/whatever. It won't be a pretty gerudoku texture for the new items, but at least you'll be able to see them.
+ one more thing; deleting grasscolor.png also deletes biome colors. DO YOU REALLY WANT THAT??? D:
No it doesn't I have updated gerudoku and it works perfectly with biome specific grass.
The thing your thinking of is deleting the grasscolour.png form minecraft.jar it self. No just delete it from your texture pack. That's what I did to mine and it works perfectly. I have not heard a complaint yet about non biome specific grass.
Another question is. Did you change your texture pack to a different top of the grass??? Like mine. Because you set up the side of the grass to be biome specific but not the top the top of you grass will always be messed up. Unless you convert the top to grayscale.

I raise you one cooked pork chop and a slice of cake! What say you? ;-)
Managed to make my own Dokucraft textures for the new achievements display. Mind you, I'll use the RPG ones when I use the Gerudoku pack!
