Though I must apologize for the quality, I used hyper cam..plus youtube seemed to have lowered the quality after uploading.
Hey, nicely done! Added a link in the OP. The video quality should improve after youtube finishes processing it (whatever that means) in a couple hours
Hello Tombones, first of all, I would like yo say I love the work you have done, its very nice, and its the first time ive changed my texture pack, because I really like it.
Secondly, two questions. First, is there a way to get the flowers on the grass without deleting my whole bin folder and redoing the whole process? I didn't see it the first time and I wanna know before I have to redo everything. Secondly, someone already asked about removing the green gems on workbenches, doors etc. I would also like to know how to do this, you responded by a texture pack sheet, but I have no idea what to do with those. I only understand how to install a texture pack the way Tyken showed(great tutorial btw Tyken!) and there is no link for a set without green gems. If you could please help, id really appreciate it. Once again great work, my personal favorite so far, it was recommended to me quite a few times.
To install it, just open GERUDOKU.zip (in winrar or 7zip or something) and drag&drop the above file inside, overwriting the default terrain.png. Then just follow the installation instructions as usual with the modified zip file.
This is now my new favorite texture pack. I hope you will continue to update it. I really wish there was an rpg styled 64x texture though. Thanks !
Thanks! I'm playing more warcraft than minecraft lately, but notch's development schedule isn't too hard to keep up with. I have plenty of spare textures ready to go in case new blocks are added, so it's a safe bet that GERUDOKU will keep working for the forseeable future :smile.gif:
I encourage anyone using this to check out the latest version of the MrMMods "betterlight" mod viewtopic.php?f=25&t=55700
It adds light smoothing to the ambient occlusion that was already there with some very nice results!
First off, nice pack. Nice rez of the original Doku.
My only complaint is the dirt (This is true of the original Doku)...the design on it is too distracting. Needs a more simple perhaps slightly darker look.
WIll be looking for an alt of that around the forums or if anyone can point out an alt that would be cool.
Glad you like it. I don't personally have a problem with the dirt, but I use Bettergrass, so I see less of that texture than you normally would. You might try the dirt from johnsmith's pack, I've heard it goes with doku/gerudoku pretty well.
Doku's pack was what got me into texture mods. Your additions and maintenance of it was what kept me into them. Tombones, you have one of the prettiest and best looking packs out there, and I don't just mean Doku's part. I want to thank you for doing this, for upkeeping his textures and adding your own and such. I know it can be thankless, what with constant questions and people not looking at solutions previous and what not, but I want you to know that I appreciate it, as much as that matters.
I've switched to Glimmar's steampunk pack recently, as it's more in tune with my style, but I doubt I'd ever even try his without you and Doku's work. So, uh, thanks. Thanks for doing a near thankless job just to make us whiny, needy and entitled players happy.

Thanks for the kind words :biggrin.gif:
Even if I didn't get this positive feedback, I'd probably still maintain the pack because I can't enjoy minecraft without it at this point. I hope doku comes back at some point (so I can steal more textures from him) but until then I'll do my best to keep this thing alive
at least somebody only asks why their bricks have fire on them every couple of pages
here's a preview of what you can expect in the next version----->
With any luck I'll have time to release it sometime tomorrow (sunday) (it is actually sunday now but only by an hour so it doesn't count) (im going to bed for real this time)
Great looking texture pack, however, after searching long and hard through the interwebs, I have yet to come across any guides/tutorials/help for MAC users. I have managed to get the basics of this wonderful texture pack installed, yet lava and water are still not animated. If I have missed a crucial step, or forum thread, I ask that someone be merciful and point me in the right direction...you will have my undying gratitude and 's of course...

Sorry you're having trouble.. since almost all of the installation involves the HD texture fix patcher, you'll probably have more success looking/asking in that thread. viewtopic.php?f=25&t=46173
I know here's a separate patcher just for mac/linux, but I don't know if there are limitations/glitches with that version.
I was in my multiplayer server, I saw 2 things wrong. 1. The gold block was broken, on of the corners turned into fire. 2. The brick block had 2 broken corners, I honestly forgot what those corners were.

Proud supporter of Minecraft watermelons.
Still new to Minecraft, love it so far!

here's a preview of what you can expect in the next version----->
- support for the wild grass mod
- first version of 32x32 items combining stuff from Dusty and Hozz (incomplete, but worth releasing)
- several new alternative textures for lightstone, ore blocks, other stuff
- cool moonlight-shaded vignette.png (thing that shows up on the edges of the screen when in thes dark)
- fixed alternate pumpkinblur hud (correct resolution now)
- probably some other things i forgot
With any luck I'll have time to release it sometime tomorrow (sunday) (it is actually sunday now but only by an hour so it doesn't count) (im going to bed for real this time)
