########## GL ERROR ##########
@ Post render
1285: Out of memory
Yep, it's a memory leak or something. I was fine for quite some time as long as I stayed inside a given area but when I got :SSSS:'d up I had to make my way back across a fair bit of terrain and it crashed. Task manager confirms that minecraft is taking up an insane amount of memory right now, a whole gigabyte just to itself.
I'm not so sure, Minecraft normally allocates a gig of Ram and uses about half that. It may be that you're reaching that limit of the allocated RAM, but I'm not sure that it's a leak.
how large is your world save? How complex are the areas that you are traversing? Are they natural or developed? Are you running any other mods?
up to 12mb right now since I went to hell, traversing volatile and complex geography of multiple biomes (I call this level "the land of Epic Floating Mountains" for a reason), mostly natural. I crash the same way with the same error of "GL ERROR: out of memory" in the log file every time regardless of mods but I don't have any atm.
java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Users\Shadowex3\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\texturepacks\Sanguine_v_2_4.zip (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process)

I'm afraid that I don't know. But this part above doesn't look good. Have you tried restarting your PC then running it with nothing else open? Does it always have this file access error ib the log or is the log always different? This "file because it is being used by another process" error makes me think that there are multiple copies running.
Perhaps I should make it even more obvious since I added the screenshots and they push the text way down, but the instructions for installing this pack are in the OP. I'll copy them here.
Installation and usage:
Download and run Run Xau's excellent HD texture fix mod
In Xau's patcher...
choose your .minecraft.jar file in the "Output" field
Do not choose anything in the texture pack field.
choose 128 x 128 as the size in Xau's patcher.
Tick all three "animated xyz" options.
Leave the "custom xyz" options un-ticked.
Press the "Patch button" and let it complete.
Quit Xau's HD texture patcher.
Run Minecraft.
In Minecraft...
login
Select the "Mods and Texture Packs" button.
Press the "open texture pack folder" button
Move the downloaded Sanguine .zip file to the texturepacks folder that opened.
Return to the minecraft application.
In Minecraft...
Select Sanguine from the list of texture packs.
Press Done.
Have fun playing Minecraft with Sanguine textures!
Ok so I did get the pack to work, although I had to choose Sanguine zip in the texture pack field during the patching. Looks great. I know you are aware of the Nether Portal being messed up but before you fix it, you should change the color. Personally I think a deep red would look nice since its a hell portal but whatever's fine really, purple seems so out of place in the game world.
I know you are aware of the Nether Portal being messed up but before you fix it,
its not something thats fixed by texture pack makers, im pretty sure its on the end of the patcher that allows us to use HD skins. Xau knows about it, whether he can fix it or not is another issue.
for some reason leaves & grass are comming in brown for me, i used the HD patch
woah that looks nasty.
but i can see that not all ur trees are brown, you could be in a biome? did u use the custom biome colouring that came with this texture pack, i didnt use it myself, but it looks like it had some funky colours to it. maybe put back the original grass/tree colouring files, or make a nice even green one to replace it with, thats what ive done. *hate biomes*

Again great pack.
Since I can't see it in-game yet, I haven't made any decisions aboutthe portal color. I just developed a tiling texture that I liked. I'll look at it again once Xau fixes the distortion.
Since you elected to choose the texture pack when patching despite the instruction not to do so, you won't be able to use the in-game switcher to select the original ( but up-rezzed ) texture or any other 128 pixel texture packs. You'll also have the funkiest biome colors imaginable. I haven't done the biome colors yet, since they're not supported by the in-game switcher yet. They are a solid , strange color for each individual biome with no blending. It's a development thang.

You also, appear to have chosen the texture pack in the HD texture pack patching process just as Blackfoot did above. I don't advise that, in fact I advise against that. Right in the instructions.
To restore some decent colors to your game world you can restore the original colorgrass.png and colorfoliage.png files from a backup. They go in .minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar/misc/
I guess I should replace those dev versions of biome colors in the distribution since, clearly, some people will install the pack this way. I'll do so in v.2.6 which will be released soon. All new GUI textures coming in v.2.6!

Dont get me wrong I tried to select nothing in the Texture pack field but the game kept crashing with it blank. So i tried selecting it in the field and it worked.
Good call. I totally agree.
I've already brought it from 80% ( in current v_2_5 ) down to 60% and I think it may wind up near 50% by the time I release v_2_6. I've lowered ice's opacity too.
I also smashed the pumpkin. Halloween is over. It's now an awesome ... well, you'll have to wait and see! I re-textured slow mud and bloody cobblestone to be normal world textures. They're now actual mud and rough field-stone.I just can't stand to waste those blocks by having them be so... ghastly. And, oddly enough, punching sheep will now yield beautiful, soft and spongy flagstone flooring! I know it makes no sense, but it sure does look, sound and feel good!
Warning: Flagstone flooring is not flame retardant!
Also gone are roses and tulips. Spring is long since passed in my Minecraft world. Now there are wildgrass bunches and Boston ferns sprouting up under tree canopies everywhere!
There's a new lacquered cedar boat, Custom Mojang-Sanguine splash screen, clouds and more. Tweaks and refinements abound and there's the all-leather GUI too. Minecraft's gonna have that new-car smell!
I should have this polished up, packaged and uploaded by the end of the day today. So you'll get your transparent water, and a whole lot more!
Thanks for the feedback and please, share a screen shot or two!
2.5 (and maybe earlier?) - watch and compass are broken; at least for me. Looks like the watch is completely transparent (can only see a few horizontal lines at the very top of the slot it's placed in). Compass has the VERY short indicator line (can just about see the direction when equiped, not when in a slot as it's too small). I had a quick look through the pngs in the texture pack, didn't see either.

Eagerly awaiting 2.6. :smile.gif:
Like the portal issue, those are both artifacts of using HD texture packs. I haven't included either of those textures yet. 2.6 has the watch retextured though.
BUT, Xau just released a new HD texture mod ( v. 1.1.9_01 ) that is supposed to fix the Portals, watches, and compass! It will also install custom lava and water files to your minecraft.jar file if you select a texture pack when patching. I don't do that and don't suggest it. I like to have the default in there at 128px.

found a bug with some of the icons & one with the textures
the unlit pumkin & the lit pumkin both have the same icon
running 2.5
and the ladder has blue pixels on top
Thanks Grayfox. The ladder's fixed in 2.6 and also has a new texture. That's really odd about the pumpkin. I thought that the images displayed in inventory were just a scaled down version of the block. I guess that's not the case for the pumpkin.
I'll look at the items.png file and see if it's in there. I haven't touched that file or armors or mobs yet so I don't know.
I'm not going to get 2.6 uploaded until tomorrow. I have a few issues that I need to resolve and I have to get some sleep.

you're correct about the pumpkin icon. it's a glitch that was introduced with either the last update or the one before. it occurs even with default textures and no hd mod installed.
i've got the same problem in my texture pack with colors missing from the sunrise and sunset. it looks from your screenshots like you've fixed that. how did you fix it and where was the source of the problem?

Thanks for the info re: the pumpkin icon! Saves me precious time hunting it down and not finding it.
As for the horizon line issue, I wish that I could help. I've never had that problem, but I do know several people that did. Unfortunately they resolved it without determining a cause. I believe in each case it was a matter of a clean install and then re-patching, adding mods to get back to where they were. The issue went away, but no source was identified.
Yes, the new HD Patcher fixed my issue with the watch and compass.
I also get those little lines at the top of the ladders. Not a big distraction.
I have to admit something here though - I've been cheating on you. Last few days I've been running Arid's pack. It was a mistake, it means nothing to me, you're the one for me. Please forgive? :wink.gif:

Get your filthy hands off my blocks! I feel dirty now. I hope you like that couch made of wood steps and signs, cause that's where you'll be sleeping!
Seriously, I try out all the HD packs. I find that it's really the best way to get an idea of what I'm doing with mine. What works, what doesn't, what could be better. So I'm kinda a playa too. I guess it's an open relationship. Oh and if Sanguine wants to bring a girlfriend pack home that's cool too! I got the switcher all warmed up for her.
That is just a bit disturbing.
Back to Sanguine. Version2.6 is getting a thorough checking after I found several flaws. The ladder was just the tip of the iceberg. Fortunately it's a small iceberg. I found several other issues though and so I went through all the files in PS and checked them out. Then I had some yard work to do. Now I'm making a few more corrections before uploading.
I've also been looking at the armor and items. Preparing myself. That's a lot of crap in there.
