I've updated Sanguine to v.3.9 but I'm afraid to edit the OP because I hear that image links are not being accepted right now. Can anyone confirm or deny?
Here's the link to the latest version which has new Softer, fluffier, better beds and new redstone repeater textures. Sanguine 3.9
What's the status and plans for this board? It seems to be falling apart functionally. I may move my Minecraft projects off to my own hosting if this continues.
I'd like to start off saying this is my absolute favorite texture pack for Minecraft, I have tried others and liked them also, but im always brought back to Sanguine.
I do have some suggestions though;
It may be the color settings on my tv..? But it seems the Red rose flowers are fairly more orange than red, it kind of confused me at first, but its not that big of a problem.
And second, I haven't had the chance to play Minecraft much since Sandstone was introduced, which was actually quite awhile ago, but its my new favorite building material - you know, to use in combination with cobble/stone and planks and logs and all that to make some of those neat buidling designs, and to me it just feels a little awkward and out of place, the dark black seams in the material block seem a little intense and it makes it really stand out, something a little lighter perhaps? or maybe a dark beige-y color?
Anyway, they are just suggestions, but i reeeeally do like this pack, thank you so much for putting in the effort to make such a great pack.

Thanks DonRuins! Your poinys about sandstone are right on the mark. I was playing yesterday and came upon a lot of natural sandstone. It was quite odd to have such strong seams in a natural stone. I still like the blocks as a building material, but I need to make the seams much more sand toned.
... I tried to do this... Got the .zip in the MCpatcher... 64x64... all right, ok? So... I patch it... then...

Do you have any intention of changing the mob skins with this pack BTW? I like the default ones, but also wouldn't mind a Sanguine-y take on them.
Sheep, pig and ghast and zombie are Sanguinized. Cow, creeper, spider, squid, skeleton and ducks are already planned out and started but my time is so tight currently that I can't get them completed. I need to start just putting ten minutes into them a day until they're done, but that's like saying "I'll just play minecraft for ten minutes." it just don't work out that way.
Zoe: Â "You sanguine about the kind of reception we're apt to receive on an Alliance ship, Cap'n?"
Mal: "Absolutely.", "What's 'sanguine' mean?"
Zoe: Â " 'Sanguine'. Hopeful. Plus -- point of interest -- it also means 'bloody'."
Mal: Â "Well, that pretty much covers all the options, don't it?"
Honestly, asides from the fact this texture pack is amazing, I'd download it just because of the Firefly reference.
Update! SANGUINE v 4.0 a.k.a. Bring us a shrubbery!
Despite the website's best efforts to Bad Gateway me to death, version 4.0 is now available. This release brings many changes that have been asked for and Minecraft 1.4 compatibility.
I have also created two alternate wool sets for those interested ( post here to let me know if I should hurry up and release them ). One with raw wheared wools and one with knitted wools. The knitted version is all the same knit pattern as opposed to the previous wools seen in Sanguine. I'll get these alternates up soon.
you gonna add the new wildgrass textures to the terrain file?
What?! When is that mod gonna settle down and stabilize? Yes, I'll generate the new textures and update. Vines are weird. Only under trees? I guess I need to go through the thread.

The modder of that mod seems quite excitable, so the mod seems to change a lot. XD
lol..it took him a looong time to get the vines out after he said it was coming..then he dropped like 5 versions in a row within a week...lol
Either that or I forgot to place it appropriately after I dropped it temporarily. Must be a roly poly cookie. I'll bump the version with the new Wild grass bits and put the cookie back in it's home.
Thanks for the update. I like the new look of the dyes, bones etc, but not the bonemeal one. On my system it looks like it's a negative or something. Have to say, I also prefer the look of the sandstone from the previous version - my favourite look for the top of sandstone is the default 16x one, with your 3.9 for the sides.
You said earlier you were going to revert the cobble back to a less contrasted version. Is that still the plan?
re wools - I think the more options, the better. I really like the blue wool and generally am a fan of the even coloured ones, but do like your versions too

I'm going to have to download it later :biggrin.gif:

Bonemeal and Sugar have pixels on the top
Thank you very much!!!

would look nicer white, but since it would then look like sugar, make the sugar brown or look like raw unrefined sugar.
would be one way to fix it
