Ah, I see that you install in your own way, rather than the way I suggest in the instructions. Just don't use the font/derfault.png file if you install your way.I have a request in to Xau to include fonts in his patching process. These are HD fonts. Just delete the font folder from the sanguine.zip file and it will work as expected.
or...
I'll remove them and re-upload if you want to just wait 5 minutes.
EDIT: No version number change, but the unsupported HD fonts-free version is up at 3:06 pm.
Also , please let me know any other problems you have with this version. Only way to get 'em fixed is to let me know what they are!
how i installed it (with clean .minecraft folder):
copied ur texture to minecraft.jar
did mcpatcher
did mrmmods
played the game
whats the problem with this installation?
oh and i so that u reupload it without fonts, why? cant u fix them? i want new fonts!
and ill say u other problems later..
I can't use the HD fonts that I'm creating until Xau ( author of the HD patcher app mcpatcher ) updates it to also correct the offset for fonts as it does for all the other textures.
Your install method is fine.
If you want the ability to switch between multiple 128 pixel resolution packs ( including the default textures up-rezzed to 128 ) then you can install following the instructions I posted under the download link on the OP. It's easy, the instructions are thorough though, so a bit long-winded.
I like this option and I always install that way. It's your choice really. I didn't catch the fonts because of this choice. There's a few texture files that are not respected by the in-game switcher. Fonts, dial, items ( watch only! ) custom_water&lava files. Those do have to be installed manually or by Xau's patcher.
I'll release each fix as I make them. That way you don't have to wait for them. But I won't increment the version number until a change in the textures. v 3.0a is up with the art file kz.png corrected.
In tryimg to reduce the size of many textures I've gone to png 8 on them. But I shouldn't have used that for the custom_water files. png 8 doesn't support transparency, so thats the cause of the water being non-transparent.
Ok, I installed the lighting thing. It crashes my Minecraft and it says the way to install it is to replace it with the regular version. Thing is, the patcher that came with it didn't work, never opened when I out the command in, and never created a backup. Should I delete the folder called "mods" or what?
I get this error every time I try to run this texture pack.

Delete your bin folder and run minecraft. Login. Let it update ( pull a new bin for you ). Quit minecraft. Run the patcher.

And I REEEEEEEALY WANT TO USE THIS TEXTURE PACK
It looks like you haven't patched your Minecraft client to use HD textures. Go back to the OP and look at the installation instructions link just below the download link. Follow those to use this pack.
Awesome update man, I love it!. I can see a tiling issue or two with some of the textures *obsi comes to mind* but other than that...its epic .-
I especially love what you did to halfsteps and iron/gold blocks.
Thanks Dante80! In all the urgent fixing and bug-squishing I don't want to miss some positive feedback!
I really think those two blocks are beautiful! I haven't had time to really play since I implemented them, so I can't wait to make a vault out of those Iron blocks! I already checked the gold in my current worlds and they blow my old boring gold cube away!
I get this error every time I try to run this texture pack.

Okay I was just about to go into mega-RAGE mode because I had tried that 1000 times before with the same texture pack to no avail but when I tried to patch it to show you the error it worked.
Gah! Internet outage right after I uploaded version 3.0b.
New water color corectly matches still and flowing. Still water animates in a smooth drift to the north. Particles splashes match water color. Water overlay color matches water color. This only helps so much, apparently water is blue colored in code. I may try to reverse engineer the hue to counteract it. I'd like it to be sea-green down there.
hehe, this pack is getting better by the days :smile.gif:
Now that he water is kind of green-ish. Can you make the water in the bucket look kinda greenish too? It's straight blue, and doesnt blend in with the real water colour.
Good point! And I'm not sure but maybe the ice needs to be a bit more green too. Not as green as the water, but more green.
Grass on the side of diirt blocks isn't currently biome-coored in the Minecraft client. Talk to Notch about that one.
The snow on the sides is bettergrass I think. I don't run that mod, but I think it does snow as well as grass. You should have grass on the sides too though if you're running it. Odd. Are these shots from the same play session?
EDIT: Ah! I see you do havefull grass on the sides of some blocks. Yes. You're running bettergrass.
The issue with the snow repeating is due to the way I made the snow pattern on the snow-on-dirt block. Notch puts a snow cap on block without offseting the pattern upwards to match the texture to the side snow. So I shifted my side snow cap texture down to match his snow cap. Bettergrass does this tiling differently than I do. Theirs doesnt match his cap.
Yay for new versions.
I prefer the new cursor, a big improvement over that square thing.
I'm colourblind and can barely see this water - way too 'green', it just blends into the smooth stone background for me.
Maybe I installed the new pack wrong: I upgraded to 3.1 from 2.9 by copying the 4 custom pngs, the items and the dial pngs into the folders and moved the zip itself into the texturepacks folder. The jar had been HD'ed (Xau's patcher) after 1.2.6 came out.
Edits:
Now that I've seen the larger bodies of water - I'm sure I don't like it - way too green... I prefer the blue that gives the impression of being in a hot land.
Gold ore - even more desaturated than last time :sad.gif: Bring back the orginal yellows!
The sides of the half-stones looks out of place imo. Top looks great, sides not so much.
The average brightness has decreased a bit? From the title of the new pack it seems to be the case. At this rate I'm going to be 6" away from the monitor trying to peer into caves. Not sure if it's the BetterLight or this pack though that is causing this.
After playing with it, I'm liking the new skins on the mobs. I admit, I was wrong in thinking it a bad idea. The zombies look great.
I like the new mossy cobble - one less texture block to get confused :biggrin.gif: Seriously, It's a nice texture, similarity issue notwithstanding.
So, sheep drop this weird black plastic looking thing? Does it act any different than wool, or is it just an image change? What brought the change on? Must say - it looks weird.
Gold compressed blocks - improvement. Steel - not so much. But then I think you are going in the right direction by trying to differentiate the lighter blocks - steel, wool, snow were too similar imo.
New pictures - yeah, most look great. I THINK there might be a blank one in there somewhere.
Furnace process - looks like the progress arrow needs work - the graphic finishes way before the item processes into the right box, and the arrow also shifts up a few pixels as it progresses.
Wood planks - nice improvement on the style of it, but I prefer the previous, lighter version.
I keep on forgetting - can you double the width of the pointer on the compass? I can't see it when in inventory, and have to equip.
Nether - great new textures for the Ghasts (eek!) and lightstone. Can you put more definition into the bloodstone though, it's really difficult to differentiate edges now.

so i suggest u 2 fix the art problem, other problems if u find, try to fix the font problem (maybe lower resolution gonna work?) and add another texture etc, call it 3.1 or something and upload :biggrin.gif: what do u think?

Magic
It sounds like you are missing the /misc/grasscolor.png and the /misc/foliagecolor.pngs. Let me check the pack...
Looks fine in the distribution. How are you installing the pack?

You can install it ( it's awesome! ) and just not select anything but the betterlight option.
