Do you think you can create an alternate skin for the Villagers (farmer/priests) WITH the noses and the long heads? I know this sounds weird but I think I like them better with them.
Anyway I love your work! I hope you consider my request.
I wanted to ask you when I want to edit a texture like the glowstone in my case... I open photoshop, edit the terrain.png, save it and zip the pack again. Problem is that I can't us it (it looks grey in menu)... The normal version works fine but when I want to replace some texture with the alternative one the pack isn't working anymore.
Have I done something wrong?
Thanks for replying me.
How are you saving it?
Minecraft's textures NEED to be transparent to work right. Are you leaving it multilayered, or are you flattening it to one layer?
if you're flattening it, make sure you're merging the layers together with Layer 0, otherwise you'll remove the transparency and convert it into a 'background'.
Well, every man and his dog now knows about Ender dragons, however I think fewer are informed about their properties.
ATM, they are planned to be invulnerable, and to be able to phase through blocks.
This calls for a different texture to that of a normal Dragon IMO, as:
A ) A normal dragon would look odd in the Ender
B ) A normal Dragon would look odd somehow flying through terrain, whether through phasing itself or the blocks out (I'm not really sure which its going to do).
My suggestion for the dragon would be to make it somewhat etheral, black and purple. I'd go for a semi-transparent Wings, and claws and such, and the main part as full opaque. If possible I'd try to make it look like it has some sort of aura around it too. My impression of it is similar to the Nether Drakes from WC3 (http://classic.battle.net/war3/images/neutral/screens/thumb-netherdrake.gif).
I think it might add a bit more Ender to it, and make it seem a bit more creepy like things from the Ender seem to be meant to be.
Been using this texture pack pretty much ever since I got minecraft beta. :U [had played infdev and alpha a bit before that.]
I've yet to see one I like better, no circumstances barred.
This texture pack is gorgeous.
...and I've always liked the spiders...

I would like to say I love this texture pack. I used to use Photo Realism, but started to get memory leaks ever since Trap Doors were introduced. So I swapped to this pack. It's great. I have one suggestion though. I play on a tv screen that's roughly 5 feet away from me, and have trouble seeing icons in my inventory sometimes. For example, pickaxes are quite difficult to make out. Maybe add an option in downloads for brighter/bigger inventory icons or something? Just a suggestion that you don't need to follow, as the pack is great already!

There is an ingame option (GUI Scale). Have you tried that?

Yeah, mine is always at "Auto", which is the same size as large, and maybe medium. I might not have a big enough monitor or resolution to make full use of that.

I like this idea a lot, particularly making the wings partially transparent. It'd have a really neat effect I think.
Give 'er time, dude. I'm sure she's all over it as we speak.
I actually finished up most of it yesterday, but wasn't feeling good and had to take it easy. Last pre-release update I got a minor stroke over trying to do too much stuff at once so I really need to take it easy from now on to avoid that from happening again. But yeah, expect an update very soon.
This pack is absolutely phenomenal. I was wondering though, my water fire and lava have a "Use The Latest MCPatcher" message instead of the normal animation. Dirt also has fire, and the portal animation inside. Other than that... This is one the best Texture packs I have ever seen.
Pack's been updated to support 1.9 Pre-Release #4.
Changelog
[3.0.5]
-The runic enchantment font has been thickened.
-Properties file added for MCPatcher font spacing of the main font.
-Moon phases added. (Old moon no longer appears, but the new ones still have the creeper face.)
-Textures added for all new blocks introduced in 1.9 Pre #4
-Item icons added for all new items introduced in 1.9 Pre #4
-Particle art added for all new particles introduced in 1.9 Pre #4
-Shine spark particle tweaked.
-Re-added fix for green lines that appear on water for some users.
Dragon skins are currently on hold as they do not normally spawn in the game without modifying your game files. Also I'm sure you'd prefer if I take my time on them rather than rushing them out for a quick update. I will need to do a lot of testing on them as well before I'm satisfied enough with them for a release.

To that I can only say that you health comes first, but thanks for your dedication.

Though I was wondering would it be possible for you to include a Chocolate Cake alternative for cake? =P

If you're not flattening it, do so.
And remember it has to be a png.
