While we're on the topic of changing the default textures, is there any chance of making a different gold texture?
No offense, but the current default just plain doesn't look like gold. It just looks too dirty.
I much prefer the shiny looking one in the ALTERNATES.png
In honesty I prefer the rigid blue one, because I make what looks good on my game and I want it to look similar on others having the tiled effect would mean I can make a wicked floor, but no one but me would see how awesome its is...

Er, which one? I have no shinier gold alts...
Also to all those saying the old lapis lazuli block is better, on vanilla it's just a solid blue block with no detail at all. My framing is something that'd only be visible on my pack, as would my tile-look. If you're looking for a solid blue block, why would you use lapis lazuli blocks when you can get more blue cloth blocks out of the same amount of lapis lazuli required? To me it seems to be a completely useless block at this point.
You should make this compatible with the Aether =D
Why? This is an incredibly game-breaking mod. It changes some of the most deep-rooted elements of the game, and is full of bugs from what I hear. Not to mention the fact that it'll likely be broken by 1.8. Notch already plans to add an Aether-like realm anyway. Just seems kinda pointless to me to provide support for a mod that'll break your saves and be replaced with an official version.
Not to mention the clusterfluff of graphics I'd have to create for this would actually take more work than making a completely new texture pack from scratch. It's really a mess. If the items and textures were all stored on a single sheet, it might be a bit better, but even then, it's still a TON of work.
Considering I don't make a single cent off of my work, and have no desire to use this mod itself, I don't see what my motivation would be here to put forth that much effort. So yeah, everyone can stop coming in here and just demanding texture support for the Aether. Your work is really cut out for you if you want to actually attempt to sell me on this idea.
On a completely unrelated note, the new tile-like Lapis Lazuli won the poll. Expect to see it as the default in the next major update.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this not a gold texture? It might actually be glowstone in which case I feel dumb, because I have been using it as gold.
And on a completely unrelated side note, do wolves not work with the Randomobs mod?
Or is it just that they would be different every time, so it would be one weird if the same wolf would be different everytime you logged in?
First off, I love your texture pack. So much. It's not a complete re-working of the game, like the Painterly Pack (which I can't stand), it's a bunch of subtle changes put into HD that look fantastic. I only have one complaint, and I'm sure I'm not the first person to say this; the Netherrack is the deal breaker for me. It looks worse than the pictures of the inside of my stomach I saw when I had an endoscopy (where they stick a camera down your throat to check your esophagus and stomach for anything bad), and makes the nether look like I'm living inside a nasty mix of my stomach, a brain, and what I imagine living in santorum might feel like (don't google it, it really is nasty ). In short, I REALLY don't like it. Sorry if I offended you, or anyone for that matter, with my lewd analogies, but I really want to get the point across of how nasty I think it looks. Everything else I love though, keep up the good work.
Edit: looking back at a few previous pages, I think there was a poll on netherrack. I think it was voted to be changed to a texture more like the vanilla one, but can someone just tell me for sure? That would be great. Oh, btw, if someone were to make a banner for this texture pack, I would totally use it.

You could use this one until we get a new version. Just copy paste this over the one in your terrain.png I borrowed it from Adriorn's RealÃstico pre-alpha texture pack.
Just consider it a place holder until Misa make's the change. That way the deal ain't broken and you get to use the rest of the texture pack. Also, please never tell the story about your endoscopy to anyone ever again. Thanks. :smile.gif:
followed the instalation instructions. Yet when I go to open minecraft, it says initializing folders (I think). Then the screen goes black, my browser freezes, then the screen turns white. Any help on how to fix?

Sure, that looks great, thanks. And okay, no one ever has to heat about that again lol.

I completely agree with you. I appreciate your respect for Notch's game. Minecraft is great out of the box and your textures give it flavor without changing gameplay. Which is how I enjoy it. Just keep doing what you want to do, keep it fun and stop worrying about the money or the trolls demanding you do work for them. It's art. The only demand anyone can make of you is to keep producing your art, your way. Whether you answer that demand or not is completely up to you. By the way, how much is a clusterfluff? Is it half a hunkafleece?

Someone else has already taken up the torch for Aether support for my pack. So yeah, I can totally ignore anyone else asking for it starting now.

I basically selected the 63x63 section from the top-left and rezsized it to 64x64. Worked fine with no apparent distortion.
