After it finished, I saved the texture pack to the "texture packs" folder and went to download the new MCPatcher, but I went to the website and realized I had the newest version.
What's the version number for your MCPatcher?
And if you're going to be "too lazy to check" the name on the post right above yours, you're not going to get far. Don't know if you noticed, but everyone else in the thread has ignored you. You may not like me, but I'm your only hope here, pal.
So start showing me that you're worth the bother.

Eh, you know what, I realized overnight that this texture pack is too high-res. It just wouldn't feel like MineCraft, so thanks for wasting all your time, you and the Texture Artists Guild can go back to making incredible texture packs.
Thanks

That kid down the street who's dog always barks at you as you walk by.
OK, I thought that might be the case. If I knew your computer wasn't powerful enough to run a 64x pack from the start, we wouldn't have had to waste the time.
You might want to try the Painterly Pack - I think one of the crop options is "sour grapes". Have fun!

Before, certain parts of my server had autumn trees, but for some reason, they're just regular green trees now. And now that I think about it, I haven't seen any autumn trees since those ones disappeared. Is this intentional? If not, does anyone know what might be causing it?
Just dropping this here. What do you think? Will most people have a hissy fit if I replace the default font from my pack with this? I was just bored over the weekend and thought a more natural-looking font would look better on signage. Nothing too fancy, easy to read, have a hand-written touch, and at a higher resolution than before. I still need to do a bit more work on spacing, but yeah. Let me know if I should continue to pursue this or not.
...Also what is with the childish back-and-forth bickering in my thread? :/ And over something that likely could've been solved in 2 minutes on my tech support chat which I don't know how many times I've advertised... I'll never understand forum fights.

It wasn't a fight. He insisted he'd followed all the instructions in the OP - which, he obviously didn't because he'd have known to take the issue to your chat.
I tried to help him but he was unprepared to admit to the possiblity that he could have done anything wrong - therefore, troubleshooting would be fruitless, and any recommendation or solution would fall on deaf ears.
Considering that there's only one correct way to install this, if an individual insists that's what they did... well, then I guess he's S.O.L.
I try to help people but I'm honestly getting sick of people who don't read the OP, don't follow the instructions, and repeat the same issues that have been asked and answered several times before in the thread. They can't be bothered to help themselves - no reason we should enable them.

This is why most of my main post is outdated. There is no point updating it because no one will read it anyway. =S
Then I feel bad when someone posts the instructions (Just happened. XD) and says that he's confused because he followed it to the tee. I can't win...
All you can do is provide the accurate info and then leave it up to them to follow. I wish thread authors here could just delete posts that ask the same questions as before, or that clearly haven't followed instructions.
I guess the fact that everyone else was ignoring him should have tipped me off. I was foolish for not doing the same.

And once again, unimportant post-script in my post sparks a small wave of forum drama commentary that covers up my main reason for posting today. I don't know why I even bother with forums.

Love the new font, looks great. I say use it!

I'm sorry - I wasn't intending to cause drama. I'm on your side - in fact, I'm one of your staunch supporters.
I didn't mean to overshadow your font question. I like the characters themselves, but perhaps it's the kerning that makes it look a bit odd. I think you should continue with the effort.

Yep, dumb people get annoying. BTW: Epic texture pack, no problems with it whatsoever, added it to my list of favorite texture packs. In the beginning I kind of thought it wasn't very good, but then i loaded it on my new world and this is my reaction:OH MY ****ING GOD ITS AMAZING!
PS: The easy way to deal with the n00bs is just to not reply to them, works like a charm for me.

Under the options tab in the patcher, you'll see a field for Java heap size.
Don't go TOO high, though - you want to make sure there's enough RAM for the OS, background processes, etc.

For those who are and will be asking about the shader maps, check the FAQ. I'm contemplating dropping support for awhile until it actually gets UPDATED, and I don't just mean updated to work with the latest version of the game. I want to see progress. The lighting issues leave MUCH to be desired to consider it a worthwhile project for me to pursue at this point. So if you want to see them updated, see what you can do about getting the mod itself updated to actually make proper use of them.
I really wish I knew what people were talking about in terms of "lighting issues" and dax's mod. Your normals/specular maps look fantastic in game and unless you're talking about the small problem with specular maps showing up even 'in a dark cave', I really have no idea what it is you mean.
When I think about how the Shaders mod can be improved, I think about frills like adding in support for providing last frame info to shaders so we can have HDR and Motion Blur. I don't see any problems at all with the lighting.

Way better than all others I have tried.
