i love the texture pack and have been using it for a while, but since 1.5, the rain in this texture pack drops my frame rate dramatically while the rain in the default pack does not, is there something wrong with the rain in the misa pack?

I have the exact same complaint. Like I said in my previous post, it's NOT my computer, I have a i7 processor and 4 gigs of ram.

Well, you didn't mention a thing about your video card, which is what really matters for rendering particles like rain. If it's onboard video, then yes... it IS your computer.
For those of you with rain performance issues, you can always remove that file from the pack - this will make the game revert to the default rain.

ATI Radeon HD 4600 is my video card. I know that this is probably the worst part in my computer compared to my RAM and processor, and also, that might have somthing to do with the clock pretty much looking like the computer is doing nothing, but still, I know it's not THAT bad. I can't remember the last time I played a game on anything but the highest video settings.
Well, it's not an awful card, but I can see how a lot of particles could choke it up pretty quick.
I'd definitely recommend using the default rain and seeing how that goes.

Yes, that's really what I was thinking. Kind of like "wow, out of all things MINECRAFT gives me lag".
Thanks for the help, and hopefully the Sabres win today and get done with Philly.. I'm from Buffalo too xD..
Awesome! Yeah, we're stoked at the possiblity of finishing the series tonight.
When I first started playing MC I was fooled by the simpler graphics and figured it would be no strain on my computer at all... it's misleading! My machine handles it well, it's a good rig, but I can hear the fans pick up speed when a lot is going on.

Thank you so much for making this Texture Pack! I used to use Gerudoku HD but I like this one a lot more. Here's a and I hope you continue making great things.
Hey Misa thanks for keeping the pack up to date, as I have said in the past its my favorite out there. However, I've noticed the nether rock looks kind of weird, more like a brain than rock :ohmy.gif: I hope you'll think about finding a better texture for it.
It's HELL. You are in Satan's colon, where you will be slowly digested over a period of a thousand years...
Sounds a bit more like the creature from Star Wars living in the deep desert. I think it was called the "sarlaac". The texture is a bit creepy, but it is well done and likable.
Why does my minecraft always crash when i try to place
an item on the ground whenever i try to use this texture pack =o !
I want to use it cause it friggin awesome ;o. Can anyone suggest a solution to my problem?
~thx
My suggestion would be to actually follow the installation instructions in the first post of this thread. Pay particular attention to step 2 - as Misa said, people **** this up more often than any other issue.
If I had a dollar for every time I've seen this question asked, I could do Minecraft support professionally.

Same here. Not sure what to do.

YOU crashed your Minecraft by failing to follow the installation instructions properly. So I think it's best to leave it to you to try again.
