STILL waiting for the normal maps. If it's so important to test the spec maps, try using Blender or something. >.>
Blender wouldn't work for this at all. The GLSL shader mods have their own way of rendering things, and I wouldn't know where to begin with emulating its look in the actual game. I have tried. On most renders my current spec maps are too dark, but on Minecraft they're too bright.
Anyway the shader maps are up on the downloads page. ;P
Been using the pack quite a bit, thank you for an impressive improvement. Only complaint is the lighting, it seems a bit darker than other packs I've messed with as well as the default. Any way this could be improved upon?

How do you get brown bricks? Is it just an alternate texture?
It's called sandstone...
Also, Misa I'm really diggin' the normal and specular maps for the GLSL shaders!! I'd say the glare on the glass is a little too much at times, but I'll save the official criticism for the offical release. =P
Thanks a ton for finally releasing them, your netherrack is awesome!!

The brightness should be increased a little but otherwise, its amazing. Have you considered doing seasonal textures?
The extra darkness was sorta added by the smoother lighting, it's not all that dark, really. On my monitors they look great to me regardless. Though you can always put a pumpkin on your head to see better in the dark. :tongue.gif: As far as seasonal textures go though, I'd need some suggestions. I do plan at the start of spring to replace the pumpkins with watermelons though as the default up until Autumn. :wink.gif: You'll still be able to replace the art with the pumpkins from the alternates.png file though if you have a problem with Watermelons. :tongue.gif:
The smoother lighting does darken it more but I think even the original lighting dulls the colors and makes it too dark. It's just my opinion anyway. I have adjusted the saturation, brightness and contrast to fit my taste. The biggest change I made was to the pumpkin and mossy cobblestone. The pumpkin needed a little more definition and moss typically grows between cracks so I changed the block to reflect that. Besides those, everything is spectacular. I've collected a lot of variations of blocks but I always gravitate to your's.
As for the seasonal textures, I live in southern california so the seasons are all the same but I think the biggest thing to change is the grasscolor and foliagecolor pngs. Focus more on green colors for the spring and summer then more reds and yellows for the fall and winter, similar to what is currently in those files. You could also have different flowers and toppings on the cake. Then maybe little holiday additions such as ornaments in the leaves and on cacti for christmas and something for halloween.

Your download link for your GLSL shaders pack stopped working.
EDIT: Your dropbox link did, mediafire still functions.

Very nice texture pack! I'm currently using it and it's amazing.
There's one problem though. When I deleted the bin folder and texturepack folder, I did everything you said afterwards. But it didn't come back. Is it supposed to not come back or something because I can't install any mods now =(
The terrain.png here isnt updated. Just sayin. I would actually like to see ALL the textures before downlaoding it just to be sure that I'll like it, considering im a redstone junkie and the repeater isnt shown.
