Did you really troll us because you didnt listen to me and get the latest version of Misa's pack that was on her thread? Instead you get on our case for not being helpful when my first statement to you was if you have the latest versions of everything. Misa had released 180 already and you never once said you were still using 176. We all assumed do to your expert knowledge that you would atleast be smart enough to know to get the latest version of the pack since you said you got the latest versions of everything you needed.
If i'm being repetitive its because the first time we tried to help you you didn't get it.

Would you consider doing an alternate texture for the Nether that makes Netherrack look sort of like charcoal or some other substance that would look good burning in our fireplaces?
i love the TP, but the 1.3 update has some problems.
1.the text is either too close or too far. (i understand the modloader mod does this.) This is a bug with the HD fonts, delete your version file, login to reset your bin contents, delete the font folder in the zip, and repatch it.
2.it somehow deletes the "default" TP, so i cant switch back to default. This is the patchers fault. simply use the unpatch feature or delete minecraft.jar and rename the backup to "minecraft"
3.if i switch to another TP, the text stays messed up. again, it's a glitch
4.when i log in, the blocks are 4x bigger, like this:
it should be this:[]
but instead it's this:
[] []
[] [] This is an optical illusion. since the textures the blocks use are bigger, it makes you think that the blocks are bigger. compare a screenshot with this pack and the default
please help! Just did
you are a livesaver! all i did was delete the png in the file, patched and it fixed! it still deleted the default texture, but i dont think il use that when i now have this. thanks!

The next sentence is a lie. The first sentence is the truth.

I'll second that. My son says he thinks "it looks like tuna" and one of the few things he misses is the old black-with-red-veins netherrack we were using before.
On the topic of alternate textures, how does one use them? I'm not entirely clear on how to replace individual textures with different ones.

I believe albion has a nice nether texture. perhaps you could copy past it into your terrain.png?
Love it. My only strife is the clay balls (discussed it in the chat the other day) and the bow. From the inventory, the bow is almost impossible to see in full-screen mode, and entirely invisible in windowed mode.
I love what you've done with the obsidian texture! Before it had a sort of marble-like quality to it, which imo didn't fit with what it is, and it looked too "busy", kinda goofing up the tiling. It seems like you've found a nice compromise of keeping the purple, smooth look the original was going for while toning down the glossiness and deep purple color to a more realistic level. Maybe a bit too far though? Obsidian is fairly smooth and yours almost looks grainy (though without specular lighting, I dunno how well a smooth, shiny stone can be pulled off)
One thing I've noticed about it, though, is that the shadow in the middle of the texture doesn't tile very well. Obsidian isn't very common, and is really only legitimately used for building portal frames, but even there it's fairly loud. I know there isn't always a perfect way to make something tile well without looking bland, but maybe making the shadow less prominent would help it out.
Also, did you change the Nether texture? I remember before that it seemed too "soft looking", and now it seems to be more rocky and hellish. Either way, I like it how it is now =P. Netherrack has to be a hard one to texture since it makes up almost your entire view in the Nether... can't be too smooth or it's ugly up close, can't be too busy or you get artifacts in the distance... seems you've found a nice balance. (Much better than the god awful default 16x16 "bloody missingno" texture)
Great work all around, though. It's nice to have a texture pack around that comes together so well and just looks damn awesome, yet is close enough to the original that my SMP structures don't look fugly to default users.
After trying several texture packs I have to say this is the best, kept the game essence, improved wonderfully, this is how the game should be from the beginning.
Runs great, looks great, congrats. I'm still waiting for daxnitro shader update to see what it'll look like.
Too dark ? I find they perfect, try the photo realistic x256 pack, you'll see what's too dark, I can't tell from common .
Maybe it's something on you guys' end ?
Someone said cobblestone looks "easy" on the eyes, I find it funny, cause now cobblestones can be used to build nicer looking stone things, this should be considered a + not a -
I actually like them a lot, make castles and stone buildings look far more realistic.
I can't really tell if this is a glitch or not:
The animation for moving water looks like that and goes SUPER fast.
I get this too, its really weird and annoying
Texture packs have to compromise. Either horizontal water moves to fast or vertical waterfalls move too slow. Misa's pack errs on the side of making the vertically falling water look good. At least it's possible for horizontal water to move that fast. In most texture packs, the vertical waterfalls look like they're made of syrup or something.
Decided to retire all other mods but wild grass in favor of this texture pack. I've used it before and loved it and coming back to it makes it even better. Although the absence of better grass REALLY bugs me. But that's not your fault.

Yay! Thanks. I wish it will be included in the next version.
Here, I tried to increase brightness of the textures. Some comparison shots:

Just a house to show how bright the world is now:
Do you feel difference? Is it good enough?
