help please
I looked through this thread some, but couldn't find an answer and didn't want to go through every single page. I installed this pack the other day and everything works fine except for taking screenshots. When I try to screenshot, Minecraft crashes. This is the only texture pack I've had this happen on. Anyone know a fix?
Thumbs up for excellent work Misa. I love this pack.

Oh I got this too. I'm not totally sure how I fixed it but when you open the patcher make SURE you open the folder .minecraft/bin/minecraft.java (it won't say .java and it is not the minecraft application with the dirt block as the icon. Yes you do need the patcher so far as I'm aware. Hope this helps :wink.gif:

Everything's working fine but... this mod isn't compatible with Mo' Creatures?
I install Mo first, then I install this pack, and it's successful, but then I go in game and it overwrites the mod or something.
At first I was having the problem of not being able to run Misa's textures and Mo' Creatures Mod simultaneously.
For those having the same problem, try this:
Install Misa's texture pack
Open up Minecraft Mod Manager (if it asks to unzip select "YES")
If it does not ask you to unzip then go to EDIT>Unzip Jar
Then install the Mo' Creatures mod
EDIT: Woops sorry posted in the wrong thread! May as well add a real response to this one below though.
I love Misa's and it was my first texture pack, I stopped using it for a while and tried heaps of others but now once again I've come back to Misa's. Keep up the good work!
yes, you need it. it's what allows you to install textures bigger than 16x16. if you were to move the image files in without using Xau's patcher, the game would still crash.
your problem is the buttload of mods. you'll have to play around with the order in which you install them. generally, though, you should run xau's patcher FIRST, though.
Hey Misa!
I heard from a different thread that you were trying to bump map your texture pack.
If this is true, then could you please upload them somewhere for us to download.
Your pack just isn't the same without it.
herp derp it's never had them, so without them it is the same as it has always been
I'm not sure if this is intended or not, but my cursor looks a bit crooked, and not completely straight. Is it supposed to be like that?
It's not supposed to be like that, and my pack shouldn't affect that at all. The cross-hair on that is perfectly straight.

With the new texture pack, I am now unable to use beta from the website?
HD texture packs are only confirmed to work with the standalone client. The web-based client as far as I know doesn't support them.
Quote from recneps4444 »
Misa, might I inquire the progress of your newest update?
Mostly waiting on daxnitro to perfect the lighting so I can do some accurate tests/tweaks on specular maps. As it is, there's a lot of weird graphical glitches with the shaders and specular maps in their current form. Those screenshots I took only really looked good because I shot them under very specific conditions. In practice, the speculars look absolutely terrible underground with no extra sources of light applied to the diffuse maps. And the handheld lighting doesn't provide this either like I was expecting. So yeah, I have to play the waiting game as well now.

May i ask if your mod is compatible with Mo's Creatures ?
Compatible: Yes. Supported: No. The art for the animals will clash with mine. As far as installation goes, I have no idea how to get both working as I don't use the mod myself.

I can't seem to get the glsl mod to work while your texture pack is installed. The game either crashes upon loading a world or it just loads the world but without any shaders running, yet the glsl mod works fine on regular minecraft.
I don't have any other mods installed. Just your texture pack and the shader mod.
Any idea why?
Depends on what shaders you're trying to run on it. If you're looking for bumpmaps or anything, those won't work at all unless you have the proper shader maps for my pack. Just installing the shader mod itself should work just fine though. Just ensure you install the shader mod last.

Every now and then you can come across marvelous mountain range like this. Brown color of leaves combined with snow makes it look like first snow of winter, or end of fall.
The cold edges of a forest leading into a snowy area was my favorite area to test when constructing the biome color map.

When installing other mods besides the ones listed in the first thread, is it better to install those after the texture pack or before? I think before was giving me the dark shading problems.
I list the correct order to install things in the Installation instructions.

So I did the clean insteal and followed the installation as posted, but when I try to load the pack in the patcher I get this:
(insert abnoxious error report that I specifically state to not post here in the very first paragraph of the thread.
Try another clean installation, but this time, manually browse to minecraft.jar in the input and output fields in MCPatcher. Also if no one's in the tinychat, try again later, I'm usually on every single day from 12:00pm-3:00am PST (8:00pm-11:00am GMT). My moderators in the chat room are also usually on a few hours earlier than me every day as well.

Minecraft crashes when I install this texture pack, anyone know why? I've used plenty of other texture packs before, and I really want to use this when... help?
I'm willing to bet this is the first HD texture pack you've installed though, and that you probably didn't follow the instructions and just installed it like any other low-resolution pack. Can't do that.

I've no problem with it. For me it's just less work I have to do personally to keep everyone using mods I don't support happy.

Yeah, that's constructive. Gotta be more descriptive than that. Which item icons are ugly? What makes them ugly? How would you suggest they be improved? You've given me nothing to work with here in regards to actually improving the pack. What am I supposed to do with this exactly?

Is there away to get the lava texture from 1.6.5 on the new pack?
The lava texture should be the same in version 1.7.2. Ensure you're using the latest MCPatcher and all 6 boxes are checked.

First I've heard of this. I'd suggest just using Alt+PrintScreen, and paste into MS Paint or something instead of the in-game screenshot key.

Is there a way I can use this texture pack and get rid of the clouds?
Open the cloud png file in my pack, and open it with a graphic editor that supports transparency and make everything fully transparent. You can then just drag and drop it into the appropriate directory in minecraft.jar after opening it with WinRAR.

I thought an update was coming by now to add terrain_ng, and I forget the other file name, for GLSL support?
So did I. But the last update wasn't what I was hoping for in terms of being able to test out my specular maps adequately.

Your pack just isn't the same without it.
How can my pack not be the same without something it's never had to begin with? Those were screen-shots of work being privately tested. And they're certainly not representative of how every thing looks all the time in all lighting conditions. A lot more work needs to be done before I'm satisfied enough for a release.
But I should probably stop repeating myself in this post regarding shader maps now. It's just as well as I've run out of things to respond to! Until next time!
I don't know if the issue was resolved above, but high def packs DO work with MoCreatures. You have to open the high def pack's .rar and delete any mob alterations. Then the mods and the texture packs will work
This is my favorite texture pack, and I've been using it for a while. However, I have a problem that's really distracting and annoying, and I was hoping someone knows a fix. There are "seams" on my water blocks. Here's a screenshot:
It's not that noticeable in the screen but it's very prominent in-game. This is the only texture pack I've had this problem with, and I can't figure out what is causing it. I'm using the latest version of everything, including Mrmm and mcpatcher.

As soon as you find diamond.
You run.
You run fast.
You run not caring what else is back there.
You run because creepers know you found diamond.
You run because lava knows you found diamond.
