I know it says the support files in the second link are optional, but where exactly do they go?
The support files are only for people using MrMMods. It's someone else's mod that I simply provide the graphics for. You need to follow the installation setup instructions on MrMessiah's thread, then follow the installation instructions I provide for my support files in order to use them.

When you look at stationary water there are white pixels between the blocks. Why? Other than that this pack is da bomb.
This is a graphics card and MCPatcher issue. Sometimes an update to MCPatcher will fix and cause this issue, but there's usually always a workaround by messing with your graphic card's 3D settings, namely anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering. Just play around with those and eventually you should get it. It would also seem that some video cards have more problems with this than others. It's not an issue I can fix with my pack though, the graphics are fine. It's a rendering issue.

Hrm. I don't 100% understand the flatness problem with 128x Misa. I've used Soulscribe's old 128 pack and it didn't seem flat, or am I missing something? (Probably am)
Could you give an example or something? I'm not sure how you could explain it better but if you could that would be great.
My pack is much lower contrast and saturation than most, and with smoother, high-res graphics, it just starts to look too flat. I don't really feel like teaching a course on graphic design to explain why, sufficed to say: having pixelation masks this a bit. I also don't want my pack to look like a bunch of cubes with 'photographs' pasted on them. And on top of that it's too much of a pain to redo all the textures to resemble the original at a higher resolution when they probably won't even look all that great anyway. That's why a higher resolution pack is never going to happen until bumpmap support.

You could change the font to match the texture.
Oh and you could also make a texture for chainmail.
To the furst suggestion, you actually can't. You get spacing errors when you try to increase the font resolution. Believe me I've tried repeatedly to get this to work. The coding of the game needs to alter the way text graphics are handled before I can do this. As soon as it's discovered though that you can edit the text, I'll gladly do so.
And I've already said no on chainmail support until it can be obtained legitimately in the game.

In the diamond ore block, it's looks like the diamond is already cut.
Well, it's not. Rough diamonds, when exposed do have crystalline structure. And mine is actually somewhat fragmented into two crystalline structures.
When the diamond is mined it's cut, and that may be a bit unrealistic, but since we have no way of cutting rough diamonds, and cut make for a better inventory icon, I figure it's an okay enough compromise.

Is there any way to disable the grass fading? All the grass around my house looks grey, its kinda depressing. Its the same if i replace it. Can i somehow make it totally green?
Check the downloads section for the greener grass.

Is this texture pack compatible with Mo'Creatures? cause i installed this texture pack and minecraft crashed when i try going into my world.
Compatible? Yes, it should be. I know a lot of people who use both.
Supported by me? No, it can break saved games.

Misa! Coralreef compatability plx XD
I'd be glad to if it didn't add entities to the game that break save files. The Wild Grass mod aims to do this anyway, so just keep an eye on that for my support instead.

i bet this mod makes ur game lag like hell.
Maybe if Fred Flintstone built your machine. Otherwise, you're not likely to win that bet.

You have 3 variations of clay bricks with two shades each. I think you should throw this option in there as well, for those who prefer your stone brick instead, which is marvelous by the way.
I only really add my own created alternates to the alt resource pack. I have absolutely no problem with people posting their own resources to fit my pack here though. Most people looking for alts seem to look through the thread for them anyway.

Hey misa I noticed as I was following a chicken around to get an egg when i noticed its feet were backwards just pointing this out for you.
No they're not...
Actually, they are. This was a known issue from launch of my pack that I was just too lazy to fix. The transparency is all messed up on chicken feet, and reversing them to face forward would've made them look even worse, oddly. It's coded into the model that the feet are triangular and pointed forward. So a 3-toed spread is pretty much impossible to do the way I wanted to. I figured most people wouldn't notice anyway, so I didn't bother to redo them.

I did the 1st and 2nd steps. However, i cant find overlay.png and mmcolors.png anywhere. I extracted Misa's pack.rar, browsed through all the folders, but couldnt find those files. Where are those files? Thanks.
You need to extract the contents of MrMMods first, then my support files into the folders his mod creates.
The dyed wool colors are significantly different from the basic colors. Lower saturation, different hue and such. TBH I prefer the greater saturation of the basic pack. Perhaps a alternate, more saturated batch?
They're different to better match their sources. The greens are more of a cactus green, reds and yellows are made to match the flowers, etc. I guess I can include some default high saturation blocks in the alternates file next patch though.

I've actually been having a little bit of a problem with the pack lately. I'm not sure if it's just me, but the sandstone texture has been replaced with some other kinds of texture. It's entirely possible that's nothing to do with this and that it's something to do with MCPatcher, but as far as I can tell all of the other textures are working perfectly.
Issue with MCPatcher likely. Ensure you're using the very latest version on a clean installation and you should be able to correct it.

Is there any reason that running water looks like this for me?
That's how running water is supposed to look on my pack.
Okay, brief announcement: For those who use Wild Grass, you'll need to be a bit patient. I plan to update the pack to support it once Wild Grass has a version that's compatible with MrMMods, and no sooner. So until then, since the author of that mod removed the older Wild Grass downloads, consider my pack not yet compatible with Wild Grass. I have a feeling this won't be for very long though.
Also I've recently added a FAQ to the first post. Any question I get enough or have answered more times than I care to remember will end up there. So if in the future you don't get a response from one of my response posts, check there. If it's not there and you absolutely must have a response, I run a Tinychat that you can ask me on. However, if I've answered your question in this thread before, expect me to just tell you to use the search thread feature.
Oh, alright. My bad. It just looked a hell of a lot different from all the other running water I've seen in different packs, so I thought it might be glitchy or something.
Don't get me wrong, though, it looks nice.
First things first. Butter up the artist. Your texture pack details are much smoother and more rich compared to a lot of the others out there right now. I appreciate that, and thank you for sharing it.
Now onto the small dislike. I've had to go into your texture pack and lighten it up just a small bit. The saturation is perfect, but the textures are just a bit too dark. I've checked this on multiple computers, and it does help to see better when the contrast of the textures is lightened up.
Thank you again for all the work you put into this.
Uploaded a minor pack update to support lily pads from the Wild Grass mod. The new version also includes other minor texture improvements. Mirrors and patch notes soon to follow.

Really? Hm, personally, i am not talking about the texture itself, but isnt the flowing water moving / animating way too fast?
It kinda looks like it's animated 2x as fast as it's supposed to. Makes me feel as if the water is too "light", not dense as water, but more like some liquid without friction :tongue.gif:
Lava on the other hand looks perfectly "syrup'y"

The problem is that if you animate the water so it flows nice and slow when it's moving mostly horizontally, only dropping one block at a time, then it looks like it's defying gravity--falling much too slowly--when you have a waterfall.
Misa seems to have chosen to make the waterfalls look right at the expense of having all the little rivers and streams move very quickly. At least it's physically possible for water to flow that fast horizontally.
That's cuz you're doing it wrong. :-P
Did you use the patcher? Do you have the latest patcher, 1.1.11? Try installing the texture pack w/o any other mods. Really, if you have a clean version of Minecraft, all you have to do is click the 3rd browse button (the only one with no text in the box next to it), find where you put this texture pack, click patch.
With this pack installed my game always crashes after 3-5 minutes..
i installed it with the latest verion of the minecraft patcher and im not using mods..
what can i do to fix this?
Same here with my old 32bit vista, until i reformated to win 7 64bit and 4gb ram, no crash so far with all kinds of graphically intensive mods.
Hey!
Thumbs UP(!) on the texture pack!
looks amazing, and I especially like the water! :biggrin.gif: WOW!
Installation went as smooth as a baby's behind (don't know if the expression exists in english?)
Had a black screen problem, but was due to the texture I had in my options.txt , just changed the name to yours, and it started up right away :smile.gif:
Everything works fine and doesn't lag at all, except that when I open my inventory or go to a workbench or something, it starts to lag horribly until I close it.
Anyone know why?
I downloaded everything just fine, followed all of the steps, and patched accordingly, but the graphics of the system are lagging my game so terribly that I cannot jump without help. Should I get a better graphics card? Or more RAM? I'm guessing it's the processor.
I can't even go in boats.
EDIT: I just tried to patch for 34x34 instead of 64x64.
There was no difference. :sad.gif:
EDIT: It just crashed. I tried to place down a miner box from the mine village mod.
EDIT: I've decided to just add the minecolony and MrMmods mods. Being the better light and grass. I hope it runs better.
EDIT: I think I may have gotten a virus from one of the downloads I had today. Possibly from minecolony or from this one. Maybe even the mod helper.
This is awesome. Can someone show a pic of the moon?
