Is there any chance of you ever making your amazingness in 128x128? Don't get me wrong, you are a goddess of texture packs... but i really just wish it was 128x128 :[
Your work is sooooo awesome though
<3
Hey Misa i doubt you take requests but if you do could you make me a 64 x 64 of this
and this
i normaly use a 16 x 16 version of this but it doesn't look right next to your amazing texture pack.
Hey i just got the Creepoid skin it looks epic but can you make it so i can use it as my skin it to big
I do not do player skin requests. And this thread isn't really the place for it anway. There's another forum devoted to that. However you could just resize that skin to 25% in an image editor to use it online.

Why 64x64? Wouldn't 128x128 have offered more leeway when it comes to combining detail and the ability for a block to tile well?
Any chance we'll ever see a 128 pack from you?

I went with 64x64, because any resolution above that, the lack of pixelation makes the texture look incredibly flat. As this is a low contrast pack to fit the realistic theme, high res and low contrast is as flat as you can get. The pixelation of the lower resolution helps prevent this, and actually makes it a lot easier to put together a smoother detailed texture. Most of my texture design requires a high resolution base file being shrunken down and optimized to achieve this affect. So the short answer, is I think 128x128+ looks way too flat, and pixelation helps mask this.
Another benefit is more people with slower computers are still able to use it. Pixel art is also much easier to touch up especially in regards to textures with transparency.
I have no plans to do a higher resolution pack with the current flat textures. There is however a mod that aims to add normals (bump maps) to the game. Once it's complete and works to my liking I may consier upping the resolution of the pack. Since bump maps would alleviate a lot of the problems with the current high resolution texture packs looking too flat and higher resolution diffuse textures would only make the normal mapped textures look better.

Just linking to a nice pretty stuff in hopes that Misa will become interested and make some textures :-)
That's actually pretty cool, but I'm afraid I can't support it as it adds entities to the game which will break your saves should you not be able to reinstall it on a future version of Minecraft. The author of the Wild Grass mod actually plans to implement something like this that works like Wild Grass and won't add entities to the game. When this comes out, it'll definitely be supported. So don't give up hope of seeing my coral and seaweed in the game. It's likely just a matter of time.

Hmmm...Misa is your name is it?
At least that's what my parents, family, and friends have called me since the early 80's. Am I missing something here?
I don't know if it's just me, but everytime I download your pack, it's always titled
's HD Overhaul v1.x.x.zip
as opposed to
Misa's HD Overhaul v1.x.x.zip
I believe it's just you. Might be a regional character encoding issue or something with your OS or browser. Not really sure what's causing it, but it's got the full name for me when I download it from the link provided on my main page.

Your doubts were spot on! Someone on the Skins forum might be able to help you.

Thanks for at least responding not gunna lie but i actualy laughed.
I've got a quick question, but first I want to show my appreciation for this awesome texture pack. It's easily the best pack out there for Minecraft atm, in my opinion. Now back to the issue at hand: I know it says the support files in the second link are optional, but where exactly do they go? I'm still a newb to installing everything in Minecraft so please bare with me here. Do they go somewhere in the .jar file or are they simply copied and pasted somewhere into the .minecraft folder itself?
This is probably the best texture pack I've used. I have one complaint and want to know if more people than just me have this problem. When you look at stationary water there are white pixels between the blocks. Why? Other than that this pack is da bomb. It even somehow makes the blocky lighting less blocky looking on the cobblestone.
Sandwiching criticism between compliments is the best way to criticize.
Hrm. I don't 100% understand the flatness problem with 128x Misa. I've used Soulscribe's old 128 pack and it didn't seem flat, or am I missing something? (Probably am)
Could you give an example or something? I'm not sure how you could explain it better but if you could that would be great.
New issue. Not quite sure what Notch and his goonies are doing now. But I had to "re update" again and reverted back to the old textures. When I tried to re install the texture pack and log in again it just downloads the old textures again as a update.
I even tried installing the textures again manually but updated again after that.
Is there any way to disable the grass fading? All the grass around my house looks grey, its kinda depressing. Its the same if i replace it. Can i somehow make it totally green? :smile.gif:
grasscolor.png in the "misc" folder inside the zipfile, plop down some green on the brown spots, or remove the file completely and reinstall the texturepack on a fresh minecraft.jar :smile.gif:
Is this texture pack compatible with Mo'Creatures? cause i installed this texture pack and minecraft crashed when i try going into my world.
make sure you patch it to 64x64 not any other
and also with the current update (1.2_02) when I install the pack the HUD and all the menus are invisible, I don't think its just this though, it also happens when I try to install Zan's mini map
Edit: it may not have been the texture pack but after I deleted all of the jar files it installed fine.

Either way, not a big deal, just a quick rename, and it doesn't make me love this pack any less!! =3
here, have some diamonds for your awesomeness.

You could change the font to match the texture.
Oh and you could also make a texture for chainmail.
I even tried installing the textures again manually but updated again after that.
NM apparently its a common problem.
