I haven't commented here in a while... I miss this texture (resource) pack. Here and there I've tried others, but, for me, it's either vanilla textures or this.
I've been a fan for years and years. Is this texture pack getting ported to the new Windows 10 edition, which Microsoft has said is the only one getting updated, sooner or later? I could only find a few terrible packs for that and I wish I could use this one.
I'd just go with Space Engineers or Medieval Engineers instead. Its developers are much more technically competent and their product is already more polished than Minecraft despite still being in Early Access.
Sorry this post editor is extremely confusing, but thanks for suggesting Space Engineers, it's pretty fun. I'm not sure I'd call it polished though, it's very user unfriendly in its current state and many things in the game have nothing explaining how they work or what they do. I'm still having fun with it though. But yeah I dunno about Minecraft, ever since the beta 1.8 update its felt pretty downhill. I really wish they would just remove hunger and the weird combat changes, I liked Minecraft a lot more when it was simple and wasn't trying to bleed over into being an RPG or whatever. (Or maybe I'm just burnt out on Minecraft and looking at the old versions through nostalgia goggles)
"-I don't get many people sending me messages to update the pack anymore. You'd be the first one I can even recall from this year. I think 'tons' of fans is a bit blown out of proportion. I peaked several years ago."
I don't post here or send messages, but I basically stopped playing Minecraft when you stopped updating this pack. I understand that you're busy and have better things to do with your life, but you do still have fans even if they're not saying anything.
"-My talent for making Minecraft textures may currently be overstated."
I've yet to find a good replacement. Many of the high res packs that are around pay no attention to making sure that the textures play nice with each other, they just make super high res textures and that's it, nothing works together and it just ends up annoying me. Maybe I'm just picky though. The best replacement I've found is 'Lithos' but honestly it just doesn't do it for me the way Misa's Realistic did. (And yes I know this pack is being unofficially updated but it's not the same)

Agreeing with Darkone on this. I don't leave posts behind but I do check this forum every month or so hoping new life will blossom in this TP. My all time favorite textures for Minecraft come out of Misa's hands.

Your talent is probably understated, if anything, Misa. I'm going to echo a fairly common sentiment and say that I've yet to find a texture pack that strikes the right blend of realistic and still working aesthetically in the blocky repetitive world...whatever that's worth at this point since you've moved on.
The "Lithos" tip is a good one for me. I know this pack is being patched but the pace is too slow for my tastes so I've been actively looking for others ever since it became obvious Misa was done, and I have a hard time even finding similar-looking packs. So I propose, might a good use of this forum going forward to be resource packs others are using that they feel are similar to Misa's? Obviously everyone has their own opinion on "similar" but maybe the diversity of response will ultimately be good.
Or maybe I'm just too dumb to figure out how to find a decent texture pack without being inundated with rip-off/clones, or cartoony ones. Anyway, I'd love more Misapack Lover's ideas.
I'm not good in English, maybe would someone translate this post in the future
Hey Misa,
I noticed last week that the new explorer maps didn't work with Misa's texture pack, the symbols of the mansion or ocean temple didn't show. I tried several other texture packs, but none were satisfactory. I ended up adding the missing symbols to the texture pack myself, so I could continue to use it. :-)
Just wanted to drop by and thank you. I started back in the days of Pre-Alpha and yours was one of those i used. I stopped playing MC 2-3 years ago. Just recently came back and it is a bit sad to see what has happened to some of the classic texturepacks i fell in love with(like this one). Maybe one day you can spare "some" time to continue what you've started back then. I hope so.
Thank you
PS: The following is just a little wishlist, IF you update to the current Version AND have even more time you want to spend on it. But an updated one is all i hope for right now
List:
Resolution bump to x128(or higher if you so desire)
Shadersupport
So, whishes are great, but did you consider, that doubling the resolution means REPAINTING all the blocks and items? (currently around 370 and 280; but good packs nowadays offer much more additional variants).
Since she never had time or mood to update her base pack for new stuff, why she should do this?
Also, shadersupport means you create bump and normal maps for most of your blocks, which would be around 2* 300 additional png's to create.
There are many other (semi) realistic texture packs out there, many with real high resolutions that also offers downscaled 128x versions, which are much more easy to create. Why don't try just some diffrent thing?
I am very aware of this ;). Please read carefully:
But an updated one is all i hope for right now
There is a difference in wishlists and what you hope for ;).
And don't get me on shaders. I know it is a tremendous amount of work.
I am a softwaredeveloper, no artist. But i do know that they have to put a lot of effort into this!
I was just wondering, is there perhaps a version list of this pack with download links? Now, I know this is a very strange question but I've been trying to get back into the old version and swiftly got bored of the old textures and figured since this was my favourite pack in the "old times" I thought why not use it again.
Depending on which version you wanted, afaik, the latest should work and MC will ignore the excess textures (I'm just guessing here)? but as for older versions where the textures are all in a single file, you would need an older one matching that particular MC version. There might be one lurking on one of the latest dozen or so pages if you want to give it a search (most likely posted by Misa herself), but I can't say for certain. Until someone else pops in to answer, this is the best idea I got: search.
Hello everyone, I am a fan of this texture pack and for some time I have been creating, arranging and mixing different textures of different packages and patches to have a single package with all the current textures, I use the textures that to my seem were better with the package, I apologize for my bad english I do not speak that language well, some catches:

Hello to all the fans of the Misa's Texture Pack. In advance I apologize for my English.
I would also like to introduce to you my patch, which includes all our best works (in my opinion). The main thing is that you can find the textures of Lams here, as well as many other interesting things. The patch includes a complete replacement of the original textures, from such cool people as Les, UQ, and many others.
If you are a true lover of Misa's Texture Pack, then you should definitely watch this patch. And also at will, to share your thoughts or textures (if you have something interesting). Compatible with Minecraft version 1.11.2. To install requires only Optifine.

This was the first pack I ever used, and the only reason I've played so long is because of it.

Enjoying Minecraft since 2012...
You may ask in Les' Patch for Misa's Resource pack , that patch is at least for Minecraft 1.10 (but sadly not for 1.11)
Llamas in the process..
Looking good, thanks for helping to fill in the gaps
Keep up the good work
