..
Play Minecraft with version 1.7.3 (beta) (best Minecraft version ever).
The old landscapes are much more interesting than the new biomes, the beaches look much cooler and there are no stupid ravines all over the map.
Next: Craft a map and explore the whole square it provides, so it will be your homeland (or whatever you call it) where you build your house, farms, fortresses and what not ...
Next: Play Minecraft with the newest version and explore the landscapes outside of the square to get the new features as well. (yes, i know, there are these ugly ledges. (nothing we can do))....
PS: I allways play only with the wonderfull MISA pack on my Privat Server. Misa take u time to found back tu u pack and u inspiration, u fanc will wait for it. ,-)
To be fair, Misa, the majority of people that support this game do so for the community. Ever since Alpha, people have been designing texture packs and mods to enhance and redesign the game. Your texture pack was one of the best I've used, as the coloration of everything went well together. Not to mention, you actually made an effort to design a texture for everything. So many packs leave items out. =/
Anyways, it is nice to see you active again. Whatever you do, I hope you enjoy it.
To be honest I've stopped playing entirely since this texture pack stopped being updated. I'm having a lot of trouble finding a good replacement, nothing else works exactly how I want for creative, and survival hasn't been fun for me since B1.8 released. I do like Chroma Hills though, but it wasn't anywhere near done the last time I played.
I'm disappointed about the lack of updates too, but I understand Misa's situation, and I found a way to still enjoy the pack in-game. The solution for me is pretty simple: mix and match textures from Misa's 1.6.4 pack with more recent packs that are the same resolution. All of the x64 bit texture packs are scaled the same way, so it's just a matter of replacing the image files in the packs to get the desired results. For example, I like Misa's stone textures better than most other ones out there, so here's what I do. I'll open up both her pack and another x64 pack that contains other textures that I like. Then I replace her stone textures with the ones in the other pack. Just delete and replace. Now I have my own custom texture pack with some of Misa's awesome artwork, and I can use it in Minecraft 1.7.10. I've also been doing that for other texture packs with other resolutions.
There is one caveat to all this however, and it is extremely important. If you mix and match textures like I do, then don't distribute the new pack as your own. The website PlanetMinecraft is filled with texture pack ripoffs, and it really is pathetic in my view. Misa has explicitly stated that her textures are not to be publicly distributed to the community. If you've created your own custom pack using her textures, keep it private. Anyway, that's how I enjoy Misa's awesome textures in the latest version of Minecraft.
Well Misa I will really like if you made video's about how to do texture making in GIMP, because am learning how to make textures and all of them look the same like anvil is super dark stone and the cracks look horrible XD, kinda messed up the brewing stand because I don't know how to make the back ground invisible in GIMP XD
Hey Misa, I just wanted to ask if I could use a the sky and lightmap assets for my server resource pack, I'll be giving full credit for the work via our texturepack command including a link to this thread.
I looked for this on the announcements and the FAQ, but was unable to find anything.
Do you have a timeline for updating to a more recent release?
1.8 is around the corner and I know you're working on recovering your old data still. I check every few weeks or so for an update on your status, Misa, but I don't think I've seen anything conclusive yet. Can we look forward to anything in the late Fall? Early Spring? Next Summer?
something you may not have head but with the new snapshots there is a new feature that will give you all the blocks in their different orientations (It puts you in the spectate mode so you cannot interact with the blocks but you can "fly" or clip thru them. It you go to make a new world change <Game Mode> to Creative and then click on <More World Options> Then while holding shift click thru the <World Type> untill you get <World Type: Debug Mode> shows up then click on <Done> and follow thru to make the new world. That might help for some of the basic blocks, though Im sure for the connected testures you will have to do it another way.
Cheyron, I enjoyed your post showing default texture pack vs Misa's pack for the same scene. I can't stand using default when playing Minecraft. I have tried using many other texture packs, but I always come back to Misa. There is none better.
Did your thread get deleted? I posted in it wondering where your first post was with your download link, then an hour later it looks like the entire thread is gone?

The admins fixed it They are having a known issue with their spam detection filters and mine got caught up in it somehow. It's all good now. I'm just afraid to edit it again as it may get hidden again.
Have fun,
Les
Today 1.8 came out. So who do I think of on this long awaited day? Misa, of course. Your absence is deeply felt today, of all days. Wishing you the best on your life's journey, Misa.
I am a long time follower of this thread, a player of minecraft since official 1.0 launch (in which time I have logged an EMBARRASSING amount of hours :P), a former server host, and a devout fan of this texture pack through and through. I have tried DOZENS of other texture packs (in the realistic / faithful category) and, while there were some that had some beautiful textures, NONE of them (imo) held a candle to this pack. The depth of the work in this pack is astounding (number of random mobs, flora of connected textures, color maps etc), but the true genius of it is how seamlessly everything goes together like it was meant to be, while still qualifying as a 'faithful' texture pack.
A big thanks to pscof42 and lescard60 for your work, thanks to you guys I am able to still play this game, and as many reading this know (and some who may be afraid to admit :P) it has a very big positive impact on our lives....and we are many
But the main reason I am posting is to get something off my chest. Misa, I think your work is nothing short of genius. I think this pack should be the official HD texture pack for the game, and I think you should be head of game art for minecraft pulling in a 6 figure contract, and they should have done this years ago. (cut and paste all of my praise for Kahr, creator of MCPatcher, arguably more of a genius). This pack along with MCPatcher, (in my direct experience with myself and many other players), has taken minecraft to a whole new level visually. For many it was a tipping point to returning / sticking with / truly 'taking a shine to' minecraft and becoming / remaining long term players. Sounds like something that may have some sales / marketing / profit value eh Mojang? (Microsoft as of Monday for a cool 2.5 billion)?
Anyone know anyone in microsoft who can get these folks a job?
Best wishes and a huge thank you to you Misa. Your work has made so many people's minecraft experience that much better, which is worth its weight in gold on the karma market. Hope you get your pay out soon
If u dont like the ledges betwene old and new biomgenerator u can use: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-tools/1262204-a-tool-for-merging-alpha-beta-1-0-maps-mcmerge-v0
Try it many times in combination with MC-edit for generating the new Biomgenerator chunks and work smoth.

I've been adding my own textures since the last update and decided to share what I've done for those that want to take a look.
I've been using pscof42's texture patch ( http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/2251774-x64174-misas-realistic-resource-patch-by-pscof42-updated-30dec2013/ ) and then been adding my own during the snapshots. Check out my thread if interested.
