I really appreciate everything you've done Misa, if it wasn't for your texture pack I wouldn't have touched Minecraft for the last year, or maybe even longer. Thank you so much!!
So is it possible to use the 1.6 compatible texture pack still? Or will that mess up things in Minecraft 1.7.2? Will the game simply use default textures and animations if Misa's pack doesn't have the new ones? Or will it corrupt my whole world or something bad like that?

I just tried using the 1.6.4 pack on 1.7.2 and so far its working properly, no glitches or other unwanted stuff. As far as I can tell all new stuff just uses the default textures, while everything else is "Misa"-ed
edit: Forgot to mention the font is also reverted to the default one which may be able to get fixed. I'm not gonna bother with it though

This may have not been intentional, I could not say, but i do know that the previous "misa font" did not play well with "clickable links" as the location which needed to be clicked did not scale with the texts slightly more "bulky" width. Now with 1.7 including the ability to have "interactive text" (via the tellraw command) I can imagine that many servers (my own included) would not recommend using the more elegant font, despite its obvious beauty. Unless it is "standardized" to a uniform width, I foresee many people extracting it out of the graphical pack... to make playing on there favorite servers less frustrating. Who knows, if it can't be "standardized" then maybe, now that 1.7 allows multiple packs to "stack", the font could be separated out as its own pack... Just a thought.
Regardless, I will continue to recommend it graphically! I love this pack!
it is not abandoned or anything. She just has a lot to do in real life.
So just give her a bit time and sooner or later we will get an updated pack.
As you can see in her post, she is still working on it.
Oh and for all people who are asking if it is 1.7.2 ready:
Not all graphics are included but with the new feature of 1.7.2 you can still use it. The missing texture will just be loaded from the default pack or any other 64px pack you put "below" Misa's pack.
1.7.2 still looks pretty good, even with the 1.6.2 pack.
Thanks for your reply, can't wait for the new release <3
Oddly enough, Misa did such a good job with textures that I have found a few in the old alternates.png file that can be used for some of the new blocks. I started yesterday with the acacia, will try to look at the dark oak tonight or tomorrow. I'm sure she will do much more appropriate when she returns, but for now, it helps to minimize some of the new blocks from being all basic minecrafty.
BTW, did she ever post more information on the biome scheme? I know someone over in the mcpatcher thread posted a bit about it, and it seemed great, but wasn't sure if Kahr rolled it into the current version (and as Misa was the creator, I'm sure she'll be first to exploit all the features)
I completely agree, I have yet to see a realistic texture pack that can live up to this one in every possible angle. Everything from the font to the CTM (connected textures) capabilities of this texture (resource) pack are beyond phenomenal. Can you imagine this texture pack in 128x+?
@Misa: Just out of curiosity, is it possible to turn the tools/weapons textures into 128x+ definition (especially the sword)?
Seriously, go  yourself. Read the thread, see where other people have posted this kind of crap. It'll be done when it's done. You aren't owed anything. Misa already knows about 1.7. When she's ready, she'll release it. You prodding her will do nothing to expedite the release.

Angry much? But yeah I get where you're coming from I guess - people constantly nagging for updates can be annoying. For those not in the know and who only read the 3 or 4 posts on the last page.... Misa's busy with real life stuff.... something relating to a house and/or moving or maintenance or some such crap. While I'm sure she'd love to earn a high seven-figure income releasing texture packs and thus be able to afford to pay an army of people to handle her personal day-to-day minutia, it hasn't happened yet (at least I don't think it has). So be patient while this awesome pack is brought up to speed.

I am sorry I personally offended you and dishonored your family, I am sorry, but I looked at the last page and people were just saying: Great pack! Which it is, I am not NAGGING, I can very much live without it, plenty of other fish in the sea. I can wait. But in the future, have more patience ok? I am sure Misa can defend herself and does not need you. Thanks for understanding.

This was supposed to be a witty signature, but then it got lost somewhere.

But 5 posts (not pages) before your initial post of this, someone quoted Misa about the moving thing.
Additionally, the requests for updates and the questions about Optifine are the two most common posts I personally see, and a search (or search chain) for what your looking for can answer any posts you might have without having to post yet another post most of us are tired of reading (She will update when a: it's ready, and b: her real life is taken care of (that takes priority)).
Simple solution to these posts (specifically, the "is it ready" post) is to do a search (in this case, first search "update", then, after reading some posts, search "moving" (should be a logical conclusion)).
One more thing: 1.7 introduced a ton of new biomes and some new texture resource coloring that had to be re-done and worked out. It is no surprise that it would take longer to get things ready to awesomeness.

This texture pack is not abandoned or anything right ? I'm just worried, i have been using Misa for a long while.
Thanks in advance.

Doing this does NOT speed things along:

1.7 will be ready when it's ready.
All good things come to those who wait.
