Oh, did I mention that in order to make texture packs now, you need to understand some programming language or constantly rely on third party conversion tools to add new features? I'm sure all the artists out there are gonna love ensuring they have the right amount of brackets and commas just to get something to animate the way they want it to.
Well, I have no idea if I'm going to have the free time on my hands to undertake this, so I'm a bit hesitant to say anything concrete, but I am a Computer Science major with some experience with programming, and if I CAN make some free time, I wouldn't mind coding animations for you and a few other texture pack artists if that's the kind of help you need to make the transition. Counting brackets and commas is what I do, haha.
Is nobody else worried that Misa's afraid she'll be homeless soon?
Well... to be frank, there is nothing we can do about that, now is there? It really is a shame, and it's the kind of pain I can relate to, but we're not in a position to help. Personally, I'd rather not pry at someone's personal business if I'm not going to accomplish anything by doing so. Might as well stay on topic here, and that topic is the texture pack.

We don't know that we're not in a position to help.
I just think it's sad that people only care about whether she keeps churning out texture pack updates. She's a person too, and she's mentioned this issue several times, so she's obviously not trying to hide it.

Not it at all. I don't know if YOU can help Misa, but I'm personally not doing drastically better than her financially. But really I just consider it a matter of not delving into someone's personal life, since on a forum one sometimes say a little more than they should.
TextureEnder did a pretty good job of converting this texture pack. It looks fine in the new MC snapshots for the most part.
One glaring issue is that water has lost all color. Misa's textures and animations for both still and flowing water seem to be working fine but are entirely colorless. The .pngs themselves are in fact colorless so that makes me suspect that the color of water and swamps was/is handled by MCPatcher. The lilypads (colorless too), the high def font, and textures for horses, leads, and other new content ... but not much else that I have noticed thus far.
BTW this texture pack!
fyi it sounds like Kahr might be close to releasing 4.0.0.0 beta 5 soon http://www.minecraft...0#entry22935741
which may resolve most or all of these issues.

You would be correct; the coloring of water in Misa's texture pack is handled via custom colors.
If you read Misa's recent posts, that subject has already been discussed. The tool works just fine for 16x16 resolution texture packs, but doesn't properly convert everything with HD texture packs, such as this one.
Coupling all this with the fact that I'm personally struggling a losing battle to keep myself from ending up homeless and starving on the streets, this is shaping up to be a wonderful day.
I'm so sorry to hear that. My thoughts go out to you.
So how would we go about replacing those colorless effects? Just drag and drop some animated frames from another pack for a mix-and-match?
Mix and match from other packs that don't rely on custom colors might work too
I was hoping watercolorX.png just needed to be moved to the appropriate folder but I tried without success. I suspect that vanilla Minecraft knows nothing about this file and requires 'custom colors' mod (i.e MCPacther or Optifine) to be installed. I wish the custom colors mod was available separately. Anyone know if it is... somehwhere on the Interwebs?
Looks like we'll just have to be patient and wait for MCPacther 4.0.0 Beta 5
In the interum another option might be to 'colorize' Misa's \.minecraft\resourcepacks\Misa500-converted-xxxxxxxxx\assets\minecraft\textures\blocks\water_flow.png and water_still.png
Only texture pack (aside from HD default) that I use. I've got at least 50 packs, and this is the only one I use. Especially love the sunsets. Not sure if you saw, but on the MC launcher it said 1.6 will be released next week. Can't wait to see what you do with horses and the clay blocks

The sunsets and the night sky blow me away, they're the main reason why I'm so annoyed I still haven't found a solution for my problems combining this pack and Optifine.
Howdy, big fan of this pack and love how well it's made just have one small issue right now.
I like to make Franken-packs and have been really wanting to get some of the things from this pack added, the issue I'm having is I can't get the zip file to extract all the files. I'll tell it to extract everything to a folder, but once it extracts about 40 MB, it just stops and doesn't move. I've tried opening it and dragging out files I want, but some files seem to have the same issue, making me kill the process for 7zip.
I had a friend download it as well and he's having the same issue, just wondering if someone might have an idea as to what's wrong like if it's something on my end or it's with the download. Any help would be appreciated.
