I have Custom Sky on with optifine, but the sky looks all glitchy. When I turn it off, it looks normal. Is this the texturepack doing it? Or is it Optifine? i have 1.5.1
This is probably the only "realistic" texture pack I've actually been able to play on. Thanks for that. However, you almost got me killed with the fact that clocks are turning counterclockwise - I thought it was morning and went out to see the moon rising. I've tried fixing this myself, but something's wrong with either the decompression (maybe the "Unsupported Compression Method" errors) or the recompression. I don't care which gets fixed (the clocks or the compression stuff), but until then I'll have to get used to backward clocks.

I'm having issues with removing the custom font from the current .zip file. I do not care for it and have had no issues removing it previously. I've tried redownloading the file twice now and have the same problem. I am unable to unpack the .zip to repack it without the fonts folder, or just delete it from the zip like I'd always done.
Using 7-zip 9.20 ... if that makes a difference. It throws "Unsupported Compression Method" errors:

It can help to go back a few pages and look for similar posts.
In the meantime you could always try using Google to find a fix for corrupt zip files--especially if you're on Mac or Linux. They typically seem to the only OS's that have been affected by this in the past. On my end, the downloaded zip file works perfectly fine so I'm sure there has to be a way to fix/recover the zip on your end until I can repack it and post another update.
Oh, btw: I run Windows, so it's still a valid solution.
If it's low fps, chances are your computer just can't handle hi-res texture packs. As for the other part, if you're using optifine, you need to have connected textures on fancy or off, fast makes the blocks turn into text and other funky business. If you don't have optifine then I can't help you on that one!
I followed the instructions exactly, it has worked before but with minecraft 1.5.1 I get white water :/
Any idea why?
This is due to the new texture pack format. You have to do more than patch Custom Colors into your game with MCPatcher. Regardless of being in the correct format, you also have to use the "Covert Texture Pack" feature in the patcher in order for it to work correctly.
Misa you're doing a great job with the texture pack. I see that almost all posts are related to issues they're having with the pack and are too lazy to find a solution themselves...so I've decided to give you a big thank you for all that you have done for the pack's growth. This pack is by far the best one I have ever used and have used it since I first found out how to use texture packs. Your pack was the first one that I used and the one that really got me into the minecraft experience. On behalf of all who use your pack (and those struggling to find fixes for errors) I say:
Nope, that's wrong. Misa already updated the pack to work with 1.5.1 so there is absolutely no need to convert it. (If you try using an old pack with Minecraft 1.5 you don't get white water but you simply cannot use the pack.)
I suggest you try reinstalling and if you had any mods check if they are MCPatcher compatible and if so install them via MCPatchers add-mod option. And before doing so make sure you have the latest version of MCPatcher.
Hey Kex, it could just be that I'm currently using the 1.5 version of the pack and not the 1.5.1 version. When I downloaded the 1.5 version at the time of release, I couldn't use custom colors unless I did the conversion tool which confused me. I apologize if I did confuse you on what I meant. Thinking that, I take it that the latest version of the pack takes care of that issue?
A bit of a problem I've been having, but if it's what I think it is, the re-compression should fix it...
Every time I run Minecraft, the splash screen says "Missing Texture" (not "Mojang")
Every other (or so) time I run Minecraft, the water is white.
I downloaded the latest texture pack version (and ran a zip repair program as per Misa's instructions).
I downloaded the latest MCPatcher.
I started from a fresh jar (which is where it was working the 1st time I loaded the game, but not 2nd, where I'd clear the jar again and re-patch)
That said, I patiently await the next version which is said to be re-compressed so when I download it, I shouldn't have problems any more (especially the 1st splash screen issue).
before anyone tries to offer any advice, I want to see if it's the issue I've been having with the zip file that's the problem.
This post is mostly for reference just in case the re-compression doesn't fix it (and for others having the same white water problem: it may be the zip itself, which will be fixed next pack update; otherwise, idk yet).
PS - I will take advice; though before you give it, I will auto ignore the following: "Use Optifine", "Re-download [pack or MCPatcher]", "Don't use zip repair program", or any questions/comments/advice I have already covered in this post or any recent post (since 1.5 came out).

Except I got this issue in Windows. Downloaded it several times and kept having the same error.
However, I find it rather peculiar that only 7-Zip, my primary tool for compressed files, is showing this "unsupported compression method" error. WinZip and Windows Explorer successfully extracted the files, which all looked fine.
I tried fixing the ZIP with DiskInternals' ZIP Repair. I was able to extract all except mojang.png.
hello, i am here to report some issues i have, well, everytime that i play a map, the game freezes after 2 or 3 minutes, this didnt happen in version 1.5, i have tried everything i could think of, y have graphics set on fast, render distance on short, show boobing off, vsinc off, opengl off, clouds off, etc, but it just doesnt work, and i dont think that its my computer since it has 6gb of ram, it has intel core i3 too, and other things, another thing is that my 64 bit java doesnt seem to work, my pc says 86x , minecraft runs with 32 bit java, so i dont know what to do, i would be very grateful if someone could help me to solve this problem, thanks in advance.
I realize this is still probably a busy time for you, what with optimization issues related with 1.5 and all (judging from previous comments...), so just in case you're bored with that, I thought I'd drop a feature idea on you that maybe you could mull over. Horizon clouds! As seen 30 seconds into the first video on this page! They really add something special to the sky - although to be honest I have no idea how it's done.
Notice them low on the horizon there?
Anyway, as a long-time user of your pack, I'd just like to say thanks for all the great work you've put into this! Yours is seriously THE best HD texture pack out there, bar none. 'Grats!
misa i have a request about the glass i dont like how glass isnt connected i have connected panes but not blocks why is this also why is the cauldron a compass and nearly invisible plus why is the sky white and why doesnt quartz have a connected texture
please i hope to hear a response soon to clear this up
btw i think quarts blocks shouldnt have indents to show its a new block but i do think you should make it so the pillar quartz turns on an angle this would create a very useful aspect when building
in addition to my previous statements i also believe that you are a very hard worker and should keep up the good work
i think, you use optfine, or? Misas pack are optimized for mcpatcher. The Sky is a Bug, also the compas. The connected glass doesn't work because misa use a feature on mcpatcher who allows to make the glass half transparent. And with mcpatcher it is connected. And the quarz block isn't connected because this pack uses a method to make every quarz block looks different. When it would be connected it would need so many hours to make that, I don't think that we need such this thing.

1st: pack is only fully compatible with MCPatcher.
2nd: everything works as it is supposed to (save a few errors I and a few others are having because of the zip file (though I haven't been having the white water issue lately, so I'm just having the no splash screen issue)). Glass panes & blocks are connected. The cauldron is a cauldron. The sky is blue (different shades for different biomes).
3rd: I'm going to leave the Quartz thing for Misa to cover (I, personally, like how it's done)
Come according to the link and open spoiler and look at CTM.

The Detector Rail turns to a default MC texture when it is activated.
Before you ask: Yes, I'm using MCPatcher and MCPatcher ONLY.
This is a stupid question but how do you download this texture pack?

Misa confirmed this. She forgot it. It will be in the next pack version. (Seriously, use search and search for "Detector Rail")
