If you can cut and paste from one image to another, my textures would work with any texture pack. I'm not an artist like Misa, but I can cut up and manipulate images fairly well.
For John Smith, you would have to rescale the images to 64 instead of 32, then update associated textures.
That's going to be a lot of .png files to modify. What program should I use to change the resolution to 64x?

Life is a Learning Curve.... Unfortunately, you're stuck on the bottom...amongst the bones of the stupid.
...Is this because I didn't select better grass with the mcpatcher?
No. Better Grass is completely optional. The error you're seeing is what you'd see if MCPatcher wasn't installed at all. It's a general high resolution texture incompatibility issue with vanilla Minecraft. Providing you ran the latest MCPatcher It can only be caused by one of the following:
-You forgot to hit the patch button on MCPatcher.
-You forced an update to Minecraft after running MCPatcher--thus erasing MCPatcher's effects and restoring game defaults.
-You followed the cleaning instructions after the MCPatcher instructions instead of before--thus erasing MCPatcher's effects and restoring game defaults.
For the record, forcing an update does the same thing as the cleaning instructions. The cleaning instructions are just a more thorough way to ensure that your Minecraft is using an unmodified, fresh installation. They are not necessary if you've recently installed Minecraft or have never used mods before. (Texture packs are fine and do not count as mods for this purpose as it's only the contents of the minecraft.jar and the bin folder that matter.)
In unrelated news, I may not be able to get out the update I was planning on releasing today, due to the snapshot that was obnoxiously sprung on us at the last minute after being told there'd be no snapshot this week. I had planned to post the latest progress of the pack as it was and then had a lot of unrelated work I needed to take care of today. Given that the new snapshot has added new art resources, it's probably better that I add those in before posting an update. It may have to wait until tomorrow or Sunday though given my other plans for today.
All next week I'll probably not be too available as I'll be preparing for a trip to visit relatives on the holidays. The following 2-3 weeks or so I'll likely be completely inactive--texture pack-wise. So if I disappear for awhile, it's not because I'm dead or anything (most likely). And I should be returning in full capacity in the first week of January of next year.
If you can update for snapshots, cool. If you can't, not a big deal.
Enjoy the next few weeks and don't worry too much about this.
I don't plan to update Minecraft unless your texture pack is also updated, and it's not a big deal to me.
(Just want to note that while you're away, from what I understand of the purpose behind 1.4.6, it will be out before or by New Years Eve. Again, I won't be updating unless you're texture pack is also updated, and I don't consider it a big deal.)
PS - might want to leave a note in the thread title indicating you are on vacation and won't be back until early January so people have even less of an excuse for why they're asking for an update when you're not even available for one
Misa, your Lightmap files have a strange effect with Optifine...they make night look like full daylight and caves with light level 0 were as if they were illuminated by full sunlight. Are these files necessary and what are they used for? Had to delete them in order

Furious those files are used for light effects and light coloring. They are not necessary at all.and I am slow but if you search for kaosian and Misa you will find I am working on textures based of of Misa's wonderful work. I am moving toward supporting FTB mods, In fact last night I got the forestry bees done last night

Do you have a separate download for the individual mods? I'm interested in the Bees and IC2 as it's missing some textures.
Sorry if this has already been addressed, but is there a bump map compatible version of this pack? "Q: (Insert any shader map-related question here.) A: Don't expect regular updates for these and don't ask about them. I'll continue updating if I feel the GLSL shader mod is making progress. As it stands there is a LOT that needs to be corrected before I can be happy to slap my endorsement on it with full update support. Namely the lighting issues. See here for more details." Whoops XD
Texture pack's been updated for the last time of this year.
I'll be answering my PM's shortly after I update my listing on Planet Minecraft, so you've a limited time from the time this post is posted to get in any last minute permission requests or general private messages. After today, I'll be gone until the end of the first week of January.
Also I shall troll my way through the end of the world Mayan calendar with 666 posts. Have a spoOooOOoky Giftmasween and a happy Boo Year.
Hi. I love your work. I'm very impressed. That said, I joined today to ask if I may post a link to your texture pack. I'm making a Youtube video and wanted to share it with others.

I'm pretty sure this has been covered many times before to which the answer is yes (basically, the saying: give credit where credit is due)
Just the stone slab that bugs me because it's just the stone texture with hard lines around it that don't provide any illusion of depth between each one.

Should I still download MC Patcher? Or no? (I've never used mods before, so there's not any worry of that)

@TheQuxxn
Read the very first issue addressed in the FAQ.
Then purely discussing YOUR mod, what does the lightmap 0, 1 and -1 files do?
