Misa you gonna make it compatible with Beta sometime soon?
I can install it and play it but it comes up showing 1.2.6 instead and will you add tooltips for items too or is there a mod I can get for that 'cause this texture pack seems to remove them.
I guess I should be patient but it's better to ask and know the answers :smile.gif:
That's really unfortunate that nothing is compatible with the beta. Wasn't the beta boasting modding support? What a load of ****.
Oh, and please don't add those annoying screentips. Those are driving me crazy in the Beta. We all know what this **** is, I don't need some popup obstructing my view of my items.
It's day 1 of the BETA... Slow your load of **** to a halt.
Screentips are a must, something I've wanted from day 1 of playtesting survival mode. Need we remind you how many new players begin playing this game each new day, hour, minute, second. Don't you think that will be a little helpful to a new player.

Typical stupid Minecraft fan you are.
You bring up a valid point, however, I already know what the items are...therefore, I don't find it unreasonable to ask to not have to look at them.
Why this brings you to the conclusion that I'm a 'stupid Minecraft fan', will not be acknowledged or even addressed.
Just wanted to tell you that your texture pack is working FLAWLESSLY with the new McPatcher on BETA build. No false version name or anything for me online/offline.
Also.. betterlight is working as intended too so I'm very happy :smile.gif:
just a bit sad that handheld torch and wildgrass are gonna have to wait :sad.gif:
I love your HD texture pack as well as how well it works with betterlight. (and soon to be Wild Grass, when they update for beta) I have a single (rather large, but epic) request...
I'm using both Humans+ Mod and Mo's Creatures Mod. (just the horses and wildlife)
They are both in standard definition though. I've asked both creators of both mods to try and make their next version to be able to include HD textures. (4x higher, like this texture pack)
The only catch is I am not good at making textures... (I mean I can try, but clearly YOU are the master)
So... could you try and download both packs and start working on HD textures for all their mobs and in the end we could have some sort of ultimate collaboration? (Misa's Texture Pack, Simplemap and BetterLight, Wildgrass, Handheld Torch, HD Mo's Monsters and HD Humans+ as well as the mod loader. [one of the two])
You would be remembered forever and be my hero. (Not to mention the bragging rights of such an achievement)

I've answered this several times before and my position remains the same. I don't provide resources for mods I'm not using, and currently that extends to all mods that affect gameplay and saves. I'd prefer to keep my maps intact when the client updates and a mod ceases to.
Maybe when a stable API is officially released, I'll dabble in some of the more balanced player mods. Until then, it's just a huge hassle and more effort than it's worth. I can't really easily test something I refuse to install for the safety of my maps. Basically I have no idea how skins are turning out without seeing them in-game. And then there's the total lack of motivation in making something I'm not using to begin with.
As I've stated in other responses to this question, I DO like the concept behind this particular mod, so I wouldn't hold out all hope of me supporting it at some point in the future. Just likely not anytime soon.
I do plan to support all safe, graphical-based mods though to the best of my ability. (Provided I like them.) So suggestions for candidates in that department to support are always welcome.

Yea... Sorry about a stupid question. Or I could try making the textures myself... *thinks about it*
Yea... it'll probably be a fail...
Anyways, keep up the good work with the texture pack! :biggrin.gif:
I do like the texture pack, but I don't use it for one reason, maybe you can help to fix it. There is a problem with the water not being seamless, I can see small breaks between the water tiles in the form of white pixels. I think it might be an issue with transparency for the water in the terrain.png file. Probably the same thing happens with lava, but I am not sure. Just not sure how to fix it myself.
A question though, would it be possible to replace the standard cyan shirt guy with something that fits better?
If I get unlazy enough, I'll think about adding an alternative resource to the Alternate Sex/Race Player Character Pack. It's kinda easy for me to forget about those, because I just use the default one for players online without skins. I used to use a custom high resolution skin for my own player but then I got annoyed seeing a bunch of hi-res versions of me when playing online. Now I'm kinda lazy and just use my low-res skin which seems to still work well with the pack.

The water does tile seamlessly in the actual texture files, the issue is with all HD texture packs with animated water. Some video cards under certain settings don't get the effect and others do. It boils down to an issue with MCPatcher though. I've had this issue crop up from time to time, just to see people report it, then retract their report saying they no longer got it once MCPatcher was updated. So yeah, not much of anything I can do it about it aside from suggesting you play with the 3D settings on your video card, or report it to xau in hopes he fixes the issue.
just installed your textures and other recommended mods (minus the grass cause it says its not beta compatible yet) and I am thoroughly impressed. I also showed it to my friend who I've been trying to get into minecraft and the biggest hurdle for him was the graphics but after he saw the change, he said he'd try it out.
I'd love if you'd make an option available to have one with out biome support, so color on the leaves and grass, Please i'd love that option
You can copy and paste these into the appropriate spots in terrain.png, I'll also include them as alt resources in terrain.png next patch. If you're using a client that supports biomes, be sure to also erase the content in grasscolor and foliagecolor.png, or turn it all white.
Alternatively, you can grab the greener, simpler vegetation download on the main thread which sorta mutes the drastic color changes of the main mod.
To all those voicing their support, the words of encouragement are much appreciated. Time in between patches has slowed down mostly because the pack is pretty well up-to-date. Expect there to be fairly quick updates though whenever mods I support (Wild Grass, please!) updates their need for art resources, or new blocks or mobs are added to the game by Notch.
Also I somewhat recently posted an alternate art pack over here: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=53692&start=30#p1620861
Now it probably doesn't match the aim of this pack very well, but there are a lot of other good alternate paintings over here which fit the 64x64 theme, uploaded by other users. Check 'em out if you're bored with the default paintings and looking for a change.
Misa, I literally can't play this game without using your texture pack. It's beautiful, it really is. After the other day [with the constant client updates from Notch] I stopped playing for a couple of days as I got irate having to keep reinstalling your pack haha.
But now to the point:
Thank you, so very much. Keep up the stellar work :smile.gif:
