Well, since I have nowhere else to place this bug as I cannot find a bug reporting link or similar. Now, I'm not saying I didn't miss it, but here goes.
Note: It might just be an issue with optifine (though I don't see why it should be the issue as it's only your texture pack which creates this issue. Sorry.)
It seems that cave spiders (as that's the only mob I've seen it on so far - at my cave spider grinder since I'm usually above the spiders looking down when waiting ) will make any type of water below them invisible/transparent. Simply put, it acts like it renders a box which I presume is the hitbox or the actual block size of cave spiders without any kind of texture. This box/block will make water completely transparent on all sides (it might be the same case with lava although you would, probably, never see that anyway.)
It's not a huuge problem and people may have said it already (I was not about to read through nor search through your post - way too early in the morning and way too many pages.)
Have you tried MCPatcher yet? (That is what Misa's texture pack is made to work with)
As in not wearing clothing. Well... She'll have a skimpy bit of a dilapidated loin cloth and the hat, but that's about it. Her hair and arms will conveniently prevent any nipslips--not that you'd want to see one on her. She's pretty haggy, so this isn't the kinda naked that's going to turn many people on. She's really pretty disgusting, but yeah, she's a witch. She needs to be yucky.
Oh and she drools and sticks her tongue out from time to time. Sick old bird.

.... scary but this is an awesome texturepack cant wait to see how bats and withers look like. the witch shall give me nightmares though...
In other news, I'll actually try to keep bats cute-looking instead of...well...you know.
Fruitbats are cute. Meat eating bat's aren't...

That looks awesome but I miss the glass panes frame you can see at the glass blocks.
Really the whole point of translucent glass was that it no longer needs a frame to show that glass is actually there because you can actually see glass now. I was also going to remove the frame on the blocks, but decided to leave it on for variety. As far as panes go, it was either no frames or old non-CTM frames. You cannot do CTM with panes and have it look good due to the bizarre nature of their placement dynamics. Of course if you really want CTM frames on the panes, it takes about 5 seconds worth of editing a single properties file. If you want non-CTM frames it's 5 seconds worth of editing an image file
It's finally here! Better glass!!! How did you (and Kahr, I assume) get this to work?
I figured out that the overlay from the block breaking animation created translucent pixels that did not hide water, ice, and clouds. I provided some test files and Kahr basically took that idea and ran with it.
Or y'know....use randommobs and have several different bat species (it'd have to be ones with facial differences since you can't lengthen the ears that other species would have)
I already said, "I plan to do other species later on for Randomobs."
I don't plan to have any randomobs for them in this update though. Technically I wasn't even sure I'd be able to have a witch and a bat texture by the time I was able to. They're more or less just early bonuses so that when the update comes out there's no missing textures. (Except for maybe the beacon light texture--dunno what the hell I'm going to do with that ugly mess of **** method they changed the beam to.)
Not sure how many different types of bats you really need, especially if you're going to make them ugly and gross. Plus it might be weird if you go into a cave and have a bunch of different species of bats hanging out together. Slight variations on one species might work better, but it's ultimately up to you and it's nothing that a user can't adjust on their end after all is said and done.
As for the witch, keep in mind that the current model isn't finished yet, so don't do too much work on it until we know for sure they're not going to make it any different from the villager model. The villager model is only the base for the witch design.
I never once said I was going to make bats ugly or gross--I said the exact the opposite. I want the bats in general to be comprised of cute species. And whenever I get around to randomobs it's not like I planed to have a rainbow of variety of bat textures or anything.
As far as the witch goes, I really couldn't give a **** whether or not their model is finished. My skin for yesterday's posted model is already finished. Telling me to not do too much work on it when it's already long since been completed is pointless. If I have to adapt it to a model change, it's no big deal.
Give my methods some credit, I've been working on textures for this game alone for over 3 years and have been working in various other game modding communities for more than 16 years. I don't really need people telling me how to handle my workload at this point.

I always update within 24 hours (Usually within a few hours) of official version updates.
Snapshots are the only thing I don't update for regularly anymore due to the stress involved with all the constant changes between snapshots and not wanting to have to update threads or upload large files every time some tiny little thing is changed that most people won't even be playing on.
I love your pack, I found it like right after I updated to the new maps and item frame snapshots, so I have been looking for weeks for something good enough and updated for the snapshot but I finally broke down last night and got them kind of working for me now. But I can't wait to see what you have done with them.

I'm not trying to anger you or tell you what to do. I was just trying to be helpful, thinking about the whole leather armor fiasco and how frustrating that was for you. I didn't realize you had already finished your textures or that you weren't concerned about changing them if you needed to.

I have no idea, have you checked the 'Download & Installation' section? I might be in there...

She said she made it resembling the way it's spawned, so I bet it looks somewhat like Soul Sand.
NAKED? what do you mean?!

Could you give me a hand? c:

This one's a fruit bat:
But yeah, most of them are cute.
Mine came out cuter than that one.
And on a completely unrelated note, I'll just leave this here:
awesome! they look very real!
